Abstract

The main objective of this study is to explore the role of celebrity endorsement in generating consumer purchase intent while taking into account perceived value and perceived quality in relation to local skincare brands. in local skincare brands. This study used a survey approach in collecting data. Online research questionnaires were distributed to target respondents. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of skincare consumers who know local skincare brands and celebrities who endorse the brand. There were 153 responses from respondents that were valid and can be used for analysis. The results of this study demonstrate that the influence of celebrity endorsement and perceived quality on purchase intention is significant. It has been demonstrated that perceived quality helps to moderate the impact of celebrity endorsement on consumers' intention to buy. Celebrity endorsement, moreover, has been shown to influence perceived value. However, perceived value does not affect purchase intention. Hence, it has not been demonstrated that perceived value mediates the impact of celebrity endorsement on purchase or buying intention. The use of celebrity endorsements is able to encourage consumer purchase intentions so that companies should pay attention to the factors in selecting celebrities who will be invited to cooperate to promote products so that the perception of quality as well as the value formed by consumers is in accordance with company targets.

Risk management related factors such as credit risk, liquidity risk, market risk, interest rate risk and operational risk. A total of 18 most active deposit money banks listed on the Nigerian Stock Market for a period of 22 years (2000 to 2021) were used in the analysis. The empirical findings revealed that credit risk and operational risk variables were negative and do not have any significant relationship with the performance of the Nigerian banking industry while liquidity risk and market risk have significant positive effect on bank performance, interest rate risk has significant negative relationship with banks performance in Nigeria within the period of study. The study recommends among others that, banks’ management should have proper understanding of how credit policy affects the operations of their banks to ensure judicious utilization of deposits and maximize profit. Improper credit risk management reduces bank profitability, affects the quality of its assets and increases loan losses and non-performing loan which may eventually lead to financial distress.

Abstract

This study aims to map the effect of premiums and investments on the profits of Islamic insurance companies. In research using the Systematic Literature Review method, eight articles out of 200 matched the criteria, with search strings from 2018 to 2022. The results showed that (RQ1) the problems contained in research journals varied, namely differences in results from previous studies on Premiums, Investment Returns, and Profits, as well as the decline in profits of Islamic insurance companies. In the research conducted by Alifia Nur Afifah and Anniza Citra Prajasari (2022), there are problems of inconsistency with the results of the previous study on premiums and profitability. In a study conducted by Ridwan Tabe et al. (2018), there are problems with the decline in net profit of the Panin Dai-ichi Life Sharia insurance company. And research conducted by Nur Indah et al. (2021) showed there needs to be more consistency in previous research between premiums for profits and investment for gains. (RQ2) The research method that is often used is the quantitative method; this method is very relevant because quantitative research looks at the "Facts/Truth" that are in the research object out there, and the researcher must be neutral about whatever is found in the field and be impartial. Furthermore, the results of the research question (RQ3) Every year and even in 2022, some journals discuss the effect of premiums and investments on the profits of Islamic companies.
