Abstract

The digital communication ecosystem is undergoing a fundamental shift from link-based search systems to generative, answer-based information synthesis, creating a “zero-click” phenomenon that threatens the economic sustainability of traditional media. This conceptual research formulates a new strategic framework termed “Symbiotic Media Relations” to mitigate systemic risks for both public relations (PR) practitioners and digital media entities. Employing an integrative review approach and conceptual mapping, this study synthesizes academic literature and industry trends from 2024 to 2026, including an analysis of Indonesia’s Presidential Regulation No. 32 of 2024. The findings indicate that traditional visibility metrics, such as page views and raw impressions, have become obsolete in an era where AI-generated summaries satisfy audience cognitive needs directly. Consequently, this research proposes a reconstruction of the value exchange between PR and media, shifting from transactional publicity to a “Symbiotic Data Supply Chain.” This model suggests that PR practitioners must act as primary information infrastructure providers, supplying high-quality, structured data to enhance media content authority within generative AI architectures. The study introduces “Brand Citation Authority” (BCA) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) as essential competencies for maintaining narrative integrity and brand attribution. By fostering reciprocity and data transparency, the proposed framework ensures the financial resilience of high-quality journalism while securing corporate information authority. Ultimately, this research provides a strategic roadmap for navigating the automated information landscape, emphasizing that the survival of independent journalism is an ethical responsibility and a vital interest for the public relations industry in 2026.

Abstract

This study examines the conceptual role of Public Relations (PR) in managing organizational reputation and public trust, with a particular focus on State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in the digital era. Rapid developments in information technology have increased the risk of reputational crises, requiring organizations to adopt transparent and responsive communication strategies. Using a conceptual paper approach and a structured literature review, this research synthesizes various theoretical frameworks, including Situational Crisis Communication Theory and the organization-public relationship model. The analysis indicates that PR functions as a strategic managerial pillar that builds "reputational capital" through consistent two-way communication, which acts as a buffer during organizational crises. Furthermore, the study explores how effective crisis communication strategies can mitigate public uncertainty and restore trust by maintaining social legitimacy. The resulting conceptual model provides a systematic framework for understanding the interplay between PR strategies, crisis management, and long-term reputation preservation. This research contributes to the theoretical expansion of organizational communication by addressing the research gap in the SOE context. It concludes that a proactive PR approach is essential for navigating the complex digital landscape and suggests that future empirical studies should validate this framework across diverse industrial sectors.

Abstract

The reputational crisis facing multinational corporations in Indonesia following MUI Fatwa No. 83 of 2023 represents a complex ideological challenge. This research analyzes the significant boycott pressures experienced by PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, triggered by perceived geopolitical affiliations regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict. Utilizing qualitative content analysis grounded in Image Restoration Theory, this study examines how defensive narratives were constructed in official press releases to sustain brand resilience. The findings indicate that Unilever implemented strategic communication patterns centered on localization, specifically emphasizing local ownership, domestic operations, and halal certification. Furthermore, the company utilized transcendence strategies by highlighting its commitment to humanitarian aid in Gaza through official agencies. Theoretically, crisis communication effectiveness in religious markets depends heavily on aligning corporate narratives with the legitimacy of local religious authorities. This article serves as a practical guide for Public Relations practitioners in navigating sociopolitical crises while maintaining corporate legitimacy.

Abstract

The research sought to evaluate and strengthen the Cash Management Internal Controls (CMICs) within the Department of Education (DepEd) Region V. Using a descriptive‑evaluative, explanatory sequential mixed‑methods design, the study evaluated financial practices, regulatory compliance, and operational challenges across selected school division offices and implementing units. Findings revealed a highly effective and consistently compliant internal control environment, characterized by strong clerical performance and strict adherence to national standards such as UACS coding. Core strengths included clear authorization hierarchies and pre‑audit functions, which achieved near‑perfect evaluative scores. However, a significant infrastructure–process gap emerged: While bookkeeping was accurate, the organization remained operationally exposed due to inadequate physical safeguards, including the lack of fireproof vaults and secure transport vehicles. The study also identified a digital‑infrastructure paradox wherein high staff competency was undermined by external systemic risks, including poor internet connectivity, delays in the release of Notices of Cash Allocation (NCAs), and administrative capacity gaps that led to process fatigue. These bottlenecks correlate with the receipt of Audit Observation Memoranda (AOMs) received. Recommendations focused on shifting from primarily administrative training to capital investment. Key proposals included procuring secure logistics and fireproof storage, hiring additional administrative support, and fully transitioning to the Budget and Treasury Management System (BTMS) to automate reconciliations and enhance long‑term financial efficiency.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed the educational landscape, offering new opportunities to enhance teaching and learning processes. However, the integration of AI in education raises concerns regarding students’ dependency on technology and potential decline in critical thinking skills. Therefore, fostering a growth mindset among students becomes essential to ensure that AI serves as a learning support tool rather than a substitute for cognitive effort. This article explores how AI integration in classroom learning can promote students’ growth mindset, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. The study adopts a qualitative conceptual analysis supported by recent empirical literature on AI in education and growth mindset theory. The proposed framework examines the relationship between AI-supported learning, pedagogical strategies, and student mindset development. The findings indicate that AI can positively contribute to the development of a growth mindset when teachers implement strategies such as exploratory learning, reflective practices, project-based learning, digital ethics instruction, and process-oriented feedback. The results further show that AI-enhanced learning environments can encourage deeper engagement, creativity, and collaborative learning if accompanied by appropriate pedagogical guidance. However, challenges such as digital literacy gaps, ethical concerns, and overreliance on AI must be addressed through effective instructional design and policy frameworks. This study contributes to the growing discourse on AI in education by proposing a practical pedagogical model that integrates AI technologies with growth mindset principles to foster resilient and adaptive learners in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has significantly influenced contemporary educational practices worldwide. Generative AI tools are increasingly accessible to students and can instantly provide explanations, summaries, problem-solving assistance, and complete written responses. Although these technologies offer important opportunities for improving access to information and supporting learning efficiency, they also create challenges related to students’ cognitive engagement, analytical ability, and critical thinking development. Many educators are concerned that students may rely excessively on AI-generated outputs and gradually reduce their independent intellectual effort. This study aims to examine the role of AI in classroom learning and explore how the concept of growth mindset can support responsible and reflective AI usage in educational contexts. The research employs a qualitative literature review and conceptual analysis of recent academic studies and classroom practices related to AI integration in education. The findings indicate that students require clear guidance regarding the strengths and limitations of AI systems. AI should be positioned as a cognitive support tool rather than a replacement for human reasoning and problem-solving processes. The study also highlights that AI systems may generate inaccurate or contextually inappropriate responses, emphasizing the importance of critical evaluation. A practical example involving AI recommendations for short-distance travel demonstrates how AI may fail to fully understand situational context despite producing logically structured responses. Based on these findings, the study proposes a conceptual framework integrating AI literacy, growth mindset orientation, critical evaluation, and reflective learning practices.

Abstract

This study investigates how primary school teachers develop and apply data literacy to support data-driven mathematics instruction in data-rich learning environments. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following PRISMA guidelines was conducted, synthesizing 42 peer-reviewed studies published between 2014 and 2025 across major academic databases. The review identifies three key themes. First, teacher data literacy is a multidimensional construct integrating data interpretation, statistical reasoning, and pedagogical decision-making, yet many teachers face challenges in translating data into instructional action. Second, barriers to data use are systemic, including limited training, complex analytics tools, time constraints, and weak institutional support. Third, effective strategies include structured data literacy training, simplified dashboards, collaborative inquiry through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and strong instructional leadership. This study integrates Data-Based Decision-Making (DBDM), Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), and sociocultural perspectives into a unified framework, offering both theoretical insights and practical recommendations for developing sustainable data-driven mathematics teaching practices in primary education.
