Abstract

The attitude of youth provides awareness to contribute to the progress of this country and one of them is political participation. The development of information technology has produced a variety of fake news/hoaxes which are troubling all groups, especially the influence of the millennial generation as first-time voters in the 2024 presidential election process. One of the causes of widespread fraud is the freedom of the millennial generation in spreading hoax news on social media and the lack of understanding of critical media literacy. . For this reason, it is important to carry out this research in the city of Palembang by identifying the problem, namely that the spread of hoax news is feared to influence political awareness in the political participation of novice voters who are dominated by students. Based on the problem above, the problem formulation and objective is to analyze the influence of social media literacy on the political awareness of novice voters in the city of Palembang in the spread of hoax news ahead of the 2024 presidential election? The state of the art in this research is that the majority of previous research has focused on the influence of social media on voting decisions, but there has been no research that specifically looks at the influence of media literacy programs initiated by the government to increase the political awareness of first-time voters. Because before the decision to vote, there is a process of awareness of the importance of a person's involvement in voting so that the voting decision will be in accordance with his or her beliefs. The theories used are new media literacy theory (Tzu-Bin Lin) and three patterns of political awareness (Almond & Verba). This research uses a quantitative non-experimental ex post facto approach. The subjects of this research were novice voters in Palembang City at student level, with an age range of 19-24 years. The sample was taken from 77 students in Palembang City. Primary data was taken using a questionnaire and secondary data from literature reviews and related documents. Researchers used clustering sampling techniques, Likert measurement scales and linear regression analysis techniques.

Abstract

One of the media relations activities is media monitoring. Media monitoring is a form of activity carried out by the Public Relations Bureau in companies and government agencies. The rise of various hoax reports in various media, especially online media, makes it necessary to monitor media through media monitoring activities. The aim of this research is to describe media relations strategies in overcoming the spread of hoax news through media monitoring. The theory used in this research is the Comcowich theory, which is related to media monitoring strategies, using descriptive qualitative research methods. The difference between this research and previous research lies in the research objects used, namely the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the Ministry of Defense, and this research focuses on the spread of hoax news, which in previous research no one had used so that something new emerged. The results of this research show that the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the Ministry of Defense have a strategy to overcome the spread of hoax news, namely that the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry uses a paid site called Intelligence Media Analytics (IMA) and media clipping. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense's Public Relations Bureau also uses three media monitoring techniques, namely media tracking, media clipping and media content analysis.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze statutory regulations. which regulates the Village Head Election which is carried out. That in practice, due to disputes in the implementation of the Village Head Election, it is mandatory to carry out a repeat Village Head Election, but it is not regulated in the Legislative Regulations and technical regulations in the implementation of Village Head Elections (Pilkades) in the Batang Hari Regency area. In Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, hereinafter referred to as Law 6/2014. Then the derivative of Law 6/2014, starting from Government Regulations and Minister of Home Affairs Regulations, does not regulate the re-election of Village Heads in the slightest. In its technical implementation, it is regulated in Batang Hari Regent Regulation Number 32 of 2021 concerning Procedures for Election of Village Heads (hereinafter referred to as Perbup 32/2021). In the technical regulations it is stated that if there is a dispute over the village elections, it will be resolved by the Regent/Mayor. The Regent/Mayor is given the authority to resolve village election disputes that could disrupt democracy in Indonesia. The Regent/Mayor is obliged to resolve the dispute. Village Head Election (Pilkades) dispute resolution is carried out at the settlement stage at the village level, if it is not completed then the settlement stage is at the sub-district level committee, and finally by the district level committee. The failure to resolve the Village Election dispute by the Village Election Committee has forced parties who feel aggrieved to take legal action by filing a lawsuit regarding the Village Election results with the Jambi State Administrative Court. After going through the trial process and arriving at a decision that has permanent legal force (inkracht van gewijsde), the Defendant (Regent) who ratifies and inaugurates the elected Village Head is obliged to carry out re-election.

Abstract

BUMDes is one method that can be utilized by villages in managing the potential or economic activities produced by their villages. Bunton is one of the villages in Adipala District, Cilacap Regency which also has an active BUMDes in its activities. The aim of this research is to determine management patterns, especially regarding the planning function implemented by BUMDes in Bunton Village. The reason for choosing BUMDes in this village is because based on initial observations from research, it shows that Bunton Village has BUMDes income which tends to increase every year compared to other villages in the same sub-district. The income received by BUMDes Bunton comes from the permanent business units which it successfully manages. Through this research, it is hoped that the management planning pattern implemented by BUMDes in Bunton Village can become a model BUMDes or inspiration for surrounding BUMDes so that together they are able to optimize the village's potential. In this way, the income received by each other BUMDes can also increase. By increasing BUMDes income, it is hoped that the economic welfare of local residents can also increase. The method used in this research uses a qualitative approach with the analysis techniques used are observation, documentation and interviews with related parties. The research results show that management planning in BUMDes Bunton is very interesting. Apart from the fact that BUMDes optimizes tourism business units in its management, BUMDes can also carefully see big opportunities by collaborating with PLTUs which are still in the same village as BUMDes itself. BUMDes collaboration with PLTU is through procurement of goods and services provided by BUMDes to PLTU and participating in various projects run by PLTU. This means that as long as the PLTU is still operating in the area, BUMDEs Bunton will also still benefit from this collaboration .
