Abstract

The European Parliament's 2017 resolution on palm oil and rainforest deforestation, framed as a black campaign, significantly depressed global palm oil prices but showed no substantial impact on Indonesian palm oil exports to the Netherlands, Spain, China, and India. Employing an event study methodology with paired sample t-tests on monthly data (August 2024–October 2025), this research reveals a mean price drop from USD 790.08 to USD 741.49 per metric ton (p=0.004), while export values remained statistically unchanged across markets (p>0.05). Findings underscore market resilience in non-EU importers and suggest policy needs for sustainability certification amid ongoing trade tensions

Abstract

National disintegration is a serious threat that can weaken the stability and sustainability of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This phenomenon is reflected in increasing horizontal conflict, political polarization, intolerance, socio-economic disparities, and the spread of disinformation that has the potential to undermine national unity. This study aims to analyze the government's policy strategy in countering the threat of disintegration using the national resilience framework as an analytical tool. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach by reviewing policy documents, academic literature, and relevant secondary data. The analysis results show that the government's strategy is realized through several aspects, namely strengthening ideology through the internalization of Pancasila values, inclusive political consolidation, equitable distribution of economic development, preservation of socio-cultural values based on Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and improvement of the defense and security system, including cybersecurity. However, the implementation of these policies still faces challenges such as limited inter-institutional coordination, low national literacy in some communities, and weak oversight in the implementation of regulations. Therefore, a collaborative strategy based on the Pentahelix model involving the government, academics, the business world, the media, and the community is needed to strengthen national integration. This research confirms that national resilience can only be achieved if the government's policy strategy is accompanied by the active participation of all elements of the nation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fluctuation of "BestCorn" product sales despite implementing a celebrity endorsement strategy, as well as the inconsistency of findings in previous studies regarding the role of brand awareness. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of celebrity endorsements on purchasing decisions by examining the role of brand awareness and purchase intention as intervening variables. This study uses a quantitative causal method, where data were collected through questionnaires from 120 "BestCorn" consumers in Bulukumba selected using purposive sampling techniques and analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that celebrity endorsements have a positive and significant effect on brand awareness, purchase intention, and purchase decision. In addition, brand awareness and purchase intention were also found to have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions. The main findings revealed that brand awareness and purchase intention were proven to significantly mediate the relationship between celebrity endorsements and purchase decisions. In conclusion, celebrity endorsements influence consumer purchasing decisions not only directly, but also indirectly through strengthening cognitive (brand awareness) and affective (purchase intention) pathways.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an outdoor learning model based on reforestation technology education in order to improve elementary school students' understanding of early natural disaster prevention. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall model modified into five stages: needs analysis, design, expert validation, limited trials, and evaluation. The study was conducted in five elementary schools in Lebak Regency with a sample of 150 students. The results showed an increase in student understanding with an average pre-test score of 46.2% to a post-test of 83.7%, with an N-Gain of 0.70 which is considered high. The success rate of planted seedlings reached 78%, indicating the success of QR Code-based monitoring and soil moisture sensors. Supporting factors for this program include school support, community participation, and student enthusiasm, while the main inhibiting factors are limited technological tools and extreme weather conditions. The conclusion of the study shows that technology-based outdoor learning is effective in improving students' understanding of reforestation and early disaster mitigation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze criminal law policies related to the provision of restitution to domestic workers (ART) who are victims of domestic violence (KDRT). ART's position as domestic workers places them in double vulnerability, both structurally and culturally, due to unequal power relations with employers and limited access to justice. Legal protection for domestic workers as victims of domestic violence can be seen in Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (PKDRT), which only limits perpetrators to imprisonment and fines, while victims (ART) should receive compensation or restitution to restore the losses suffered by the victim. However, the Law on the Elimination of Domestic Violence (PKDRT) does not explicitly regulate the mechanism for granting restitution, so that ART who are victims often do not receive proper recovery, both in terms of material and immaterial. This legal vacuum causes victims' rights to be limited to physical and psychological protection, but does not touch on the aspect of recovering losses due to criminal acts. In fact, restitution is an important instrument from a restorative justice perspective because it places the victim as the main subject whose rights must be restored. This article analyzes how positive law regulates the provision of restitution to domestic workers as victims of domestic violence and the direction and form of future legal regulations (ius constituendum) in providing restitution guarantees for domestic workers as victims of domestic violence. Therefore, a reformulation of criminal law policy is needed by placing restitution not merely as an additional requirement, but as an imperative legal obligation, in order to realize restorative justice and protect domestic workers as a vulnerable group in the Indonesian criminal law system

Abstract

This study examines tourism seasonality's impact on accommodation occupancy and MSME performance in Samosir Regency, Lake Toba UNESCO Global Geopark, using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with a complete census of 80 stakeholders. Results confirm seasonality strongly predicts occupancy fluctuations (β=0.69, p<0.001, R²=0.48), while bidirectional occupancy-MSME linkages explain 41% of MSME revenue instability (β=0.46/0.31, p<0.001/0.002). Stakeholder integration emerges as the dominant driver of regional planning effectiveness (β=0.51, p<0.001), alongside occupancy (β=0.24) and MSME inputs (β=0.33), accounting for 63% of planning variance (SRMR=0.067). Findings provide an empirical framework for optimized planning, integrating seasonality mitigation, MSME empowerment, and inclusive governance to achieve sustainable tourism development in Indonesia's super-priority destinations.

Abstract

Tourism and the creative economy are strategic sectors that significantly contribute to sustainable development, functioning not only as drivers of economic growth but also as instruments of cultural preservation and environmental protection. Kuningan Regency, West Java, holds considerable potential to develop these sectors due to its natural landscapes, cultural diversity, and preserved local wisdom. Data from the Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office recorded 3,278,975 tourist visits in 2024, reflecting both strong attractiveness and promising opportunities for strengthening the local creative economy. However, tourism development often faces challenges such as limited funding, lack of creativity, and suboptimal community participation. This study aims to formulate sustainable strategies for tourism and creative economy development based on local wisdom in Kuningan Regency. A descriptive qualitative method with data triangulation was employed. Data collection involved in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), field observations, and official documents, engaging local government, creative economy actors, community leaders, and residents. Data analysis was conducted through thematic coding using NVivo software, with categories including supporting factors, challenges, collaboration patterns, and relevant values of local wisdom. The findings reveal four critical factors for successful sustainable tourism in Kuningan: (1) integrating local wisdom into tourism and creative economy products; (2) multi-stakeholder collaboration between government, private sector, and community; (3) the use of digital technology for destination marketing and management; and (4) community-based environmental conservation strategies. The novelty of this study lies in its comprehensive framework that integrates cultural, economic, technological, and ecological dimensions in the context of sustainable tourism development. The study concludes that a holistic strategy emphasizing implementation evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and technology-driven innovation is essential to enhance Kuningan’s tourism competitiveness while safeguarding socio-cultural and environmental sustainability. These findings are expected to provide both academic insights and practical recommendations for other regions with similar characteristics

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the relationship between women's representation in parliament and gender equality, and its impact on social aspects such as health, education, and women's participation in the workforce. The research is motivated by gender inequality that still occurs, especially in developing countries, where the role of women in politics is believed to accelerate the achievement of gender equality, although their limitations in political decision-making still exist. The main focus of this study is the importance of women's representation in parliament in influencing more inclusive social policies. Using a quantitative approach and linear regression, this study explores the relationship between women's leadership in parliament and indicators of gender inequality, such as the Gender Inequality Index (GII), maternal health, women's participation in the workforce, and women's education in relevant countries. The results of the study indicate a significant positive relationship between women's representation in parliament and a decrease in gender inequality and an increase in social welfare, especially in terms of maternal health and women's participation in the workforce. This study fills the gap in research related to the direct relationship between women's political roles and socio-economic factors in the context of developing countries. The novelty of the study lies in its integrative approach that links women's political influence on health, economic and education sectors, and their impact on gender equality. In conclusion, increasing women's representation in parliament contributes significantly to reducing gender inequality and improving policies that support women, so that countries with high gender inequality can use countries with better gender equality as policy models
