Abstract

Tourism in Bali, particularly in Badung Regency, drives significant economic growth but also creates challenges related to traffic congestion, greenhouse gas emissions, and environmental sustainability. Sustainable transportation has been identified as a key component of sustainable tourism, yet its implementation and stakeholder perceptions remain underexplored. This exploratory study employed a mixed-methods design, combining a survey of 50 stakeholders (tourists, residents, businesses, and government/NGO representatives) with semi-structured interviews. Quantitative analysis included descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression tests, while qualitative data provided contextual insights. Stakeholders perceived the availability (M = 3.12) and accessibility (M = 3.20) of sustainable transportation as moderate, with higher ratings from businesses and government compared to residents and tourists. Policy support (β = .34, p = .009) and business investment (β = .29, p = .021) emerged as significant enabling factors, while infrastructure limitations (β = –.31, p = .014) and high costs (β = –.28, p = .027) were the most critical constraints. Stakeholders recognized contributions of sustainable transport to competitiveness, particularly in enhancing environmental quality (M = 3.92) and reducing congestion (M = 3.74). The results suggest that while sustainable transportation initiatives exist, their reach remains uneven. Strong policy frameworks and private sector leadership are essential enablers, but adoption is hindered by infrastructure gaps and financial barriers. Stakeholders nevertheless view sustainable transport as central to Bali’s environmental sustainability and long-term competitiveness in the global tourism market.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the economy, yet they still face challenges in digitalization. The Thematic Community Service Program (KKNT) in Mainan Village, Sembawa District, Banyuasin Regency, aimed to enhance the digital capacity of MSMEs through the use of Google My Business (GMB). The methods used included observation, seminars, training, and evaluation. The results showed that MSMEs were able to create and manage Google My Business (GMB) accounts independently. A case study of the Rengginang Ceu Eem business demonstrated that the business profile was successfully displayed on Google Search and Google Maps with complete information, including the business name, category, address, operating hours, and telephone number. The use of Google My Business (GMB) has been proven to increase business visibility, expand marketing reach, and strengthen consumer trust. This activity significantly contributes to encouraging the digital transformation of MSMEs in villages to be more adaptive to modern market competition.

Abstract

This study analyzes the utilization of local cassava plants through processing them into tape as a strategy for empowering MSMEs in Mainan Village. The research method used a qualitative approach with literature studies and field observations to examine the production process, economic contribution, and challenges faced. The results show that processing cassava into tape provides significant added value through increased income, job creation, and strengthening the village's economic identity. Furthermore, product innovation and business mentoring have proven to be strategic factors in increasing the competitiveness of tape MSMEs. However, limited capital, the need for halal certification, and product quality standards remain major obstacles that must be overcome. Therefore, multi-stakeholder collaboration based on the Pentahelix model is considered essential to encourage the development of tape MSMEs as an example of sustainable local economic empowerment practices.

Abstract

Citation practices are crucial for maintaining academic integrity, as they credit original ideas and integrate new research into the established knowledge framework. However, these practices can compromise scholarly work and misrepresent the impact of research when manipulated. This study investigates ethical concerns associated with excessive self-citation and co-author citations, examining their implications for academic integrity and citation metrics. Through a case study of a published paper—selected for its high frequency of co-author citations from accredited, peer-reviewed journals listed on Google Scholar—this research analyses citation patterns and their potential to inflate perceived scholarly impact. The findings reveal that excessive self-citation and repeated co-author citations can distort academic evaluations and create an imbalanced scholarly landscape. Supported by the literature, the study highlights the need for clear guidelines, transparency in citation practices, and vigilant monitoring by peer reviewers and editors. To preserve the integrity of academic research and ensure fair assessment, the paper recommends developing robust guidelines for citation practices and promoting transparency in citation choices.

Abstract

The implementation of e-government in Indonesia has become a key pillar in the digital transformation of government, aiming to improve the quality of public services. Despite significant progress in the adoption of digital technology, Indonesia is still faced with various challenges, such as infrastructure gaps between urban and rural areas, limited human resource competencies, and bureaucratic obstacles that slow down adaptation to new technologies. This research maps innovations in e-government in Indonesia and compares them with best practices in developed countries, such as South Korea and Singapore, which have successfully implemented digital systems inclusively and effectively. Based on a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach, this research evaluates the impact of digital innovations on efficiency and public participation in public services. The results show the importance of cross-sector collaboration, capacity building of state apparatus, and simplification of regulations to accelerate the adoption of inclusive e-government. By using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, Indonesia can strengthen a responsive and sustainable e-government system. This research provides strategic policy recommendations to support the improvement of efficient and equitable public services across Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to classify reject patterns in the production process using the K-Means Clustering method. The dataset consists of 870 records collected from the production line, containing information such as product name, reject type, process stage, and production quantity. Through a data mining approach, data preprocessing steps such as cleaning, encoding, and normalization were performed prior to the clustering process. The Elbow Method indicated that the optimal number of clusters is three. Each cluster exhibits distinct characteristics: light rejects with small quantities in early stages, heavy rejects with large quantities, and moderate rejects with random distribution. These findings are expected to assist management in formulating more targeted strategies for process improvement and quality control. By identifying common reject patterns within each cluster, companies can adopt a more proactive approach to minimizing production defects and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the term ma'shiyah in the Qur'an and its relevance in the digital era using the thematic interpretation approach from Al-Farmawi's perspective. The focus was on how the concept of ma'shiyah, which refers to disobedience to Allah's commands, remains pertinent to actions in the digital world, such as cyberbullying, spreading slander, and disseminating hoaxes. The research employed a literature study with a thematic interpretation approach, analyzing various Qur'anic verses containing the term ma'shiyah based on the interpretations of scholars, particularly Al-Farmawi. The findings revealed that the term ma'shiyah appears in 23 Surahs, with several derivations conveying interrelated meanings. Moreover, the concept of ma'shiyah in the Qur'an was linked to social violations in the digital era, such as cyberbullying. As a foundational principle of ethics in digital interactions, the concept of ma'shiyah highlights the importance of upholding honesty, dignity, and justice in accordance with Islamic teachings.
