Abstract

Malnutrition is still one of the health problems in developing countries, including Indonesia. According to WHO standards, the nutritional situation in Indonesia has exceeded the normal threshold, namely, undernutrition >10%. Meanwhile, the prevalence of nutritional status (BB/U) in children under five in West Java according to Riskesdas 2018 is 10.6%. Undernutrition is caused by two different factors, namely direct causal factors and indirect causal factors. Congenital diseases and diet are direct causal factors, while parenting, family income, family food security, access to health services, and environmental health are indirect causal factors. Knowing the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, maternal parenting and family income on the incidence of malnutrition in toddlers aged 6-59 months at Puskesmas Bahagia Bekasi. This research is an observational study with a cross-sectional approach, the number of research subjects was 106 respondents selected by probability sampling. The research was conducted in July for 4 days in the working area of the Bahagia Bekasi Puskesas. The instruments used were anthropometry (measurement of height and weight of toddlers), questionnaires and interviews with parents/caregivers of toddlers. Data analysis using chi-square test with IBM SPSS Statistics 26 application. The results of the study based on gender characteristics were mostly male as many as 60 respondents and the age of toddlers in this study was mostly aged 12-24 toddlers with 29 respondents. The results of this study showed a significant relationship (p<0.05) between exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.034), maternal parenting (0.011) and family income (p=0.00) at Puskesmas Bahagia Bekasi. There is a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, maternal parenting and family income.

Abstract

Remaja putri mengalami perkembangan biologis ditandai dengan menstruasi yang dapat menyebabkan berbagai masalah termasuk dismenorea. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kebiasaan makan, aktivitas fisik, dan kebiasaan olahraga dengan kejadian dismenorea pada remaja putri di Kota Pariaman. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2022 di SMAN 1 Kota Pariaman pada 94 orang subjek dengan desain cross-sectional study. Subjek dipilih secara purposive dengan pengumpulan data primer melalui kuesioner dan wawancara. Tingkat kecukupan zat gizi energi (33%) dan lemak (52,1%) masih tergolong defisit berat, sedangkan tingkat kecukupan zat gizi protein (36,2%) dan karbohidrat (29,8%) tergolong berlebih. Sementara itu, tingkat kecukupan zat gizi mikro yaitu kalsium (56,4%), zat besi (92,6%), dan vitamin C (70,2%) sudah tergolong dalam kategori cukup. Aktivitas fisik sebagian besar subjek tergolong dalam kategori sedang (64,9%). Sebanyak 46,8% subjek sering berolahraga dengan frekuensi 1 kali seminggu (40,9%). Sebagian besar durasi olahraga subjek sudah tergolong cukup (63,6%). Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat kecukupan energi, lemak, karbohidrat, kalsium, zat besi, dan vitamin C, aktivitas fisik, dan kebiasaan olahraga dengan kejadian dismenorea (p>0,05). Namun, tingkat kecukupan protein dengan kejadian dismenorea menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan (p=0,027).

Abstract

Stunting was still national problem in Indonesia.The prevalence of stunting in Indonesia was currently 21.6%. The stunting prevalence target in 2024 is 14%. Therefore, decrease of 3.8% per year is needed to achieve this target. One of the factors cause stunting is inappropriate food intake. Intake energy, protein, calcium, iron, and zinc can increase te risk of stunting. There are several areas in West Java wich are the prevalence of stunting was increased. Kawitan village is one of the stunting that has high prevalence in Tasikmalaya Regency. The prevalence of stunting in Kawitan Village is 42.7%. Therefore, researchers are interested to study how the complementary feeding practice in stunting toddlers in Kawitan Village. The aim of this research was qualitative with Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The population in this study were mothers of toddlers who had stunted children in Kawitan Village, Salopa District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The number of informants was 10 mothers. The result of this study showed that the frequency of eating in stunted toddlers in this study varied from 1-4 times a day. The food given at one meal was not diverse. The portion given was also not according to the daily recommendation. Almost all children under five consume snack that are not nutrient dense more often than main meals.

Abstract

Media sosial yang menampilkan figur tubuh ideal menyebabkan remaja membandingkan bentuk tubuhnya dengan standar sosial. Hal tersebut mendorong remaja melakukan berbagai upaya seperti diet berlebih yang berdampak pada citra tubuh, perilaku makan, dan status gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak intensitas penggunaan instagram terhadap body dissatisfaction, perilaku makan, dan status gizi remaja di Kota Jakarta dan Kabupaten Bogor. Perbedaan demografi bertujuan untuk melihat adanya perbedaan dampak instagram terhadap kedua lokasi tersebut. Desain penelitian menggunakan cross sectional study yang terdiri dari 100 subjek yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan self-administered. Sebagian besar subjek masuk kedalam kategori light user pada penggunaan instagram (69%), memiliki persepsi body dissatisfaction (57%), tergolong dalam tipe perilaku makan external eating (68%), beresiko mengalami gangguan makan (12%), dan memiliki status gizi normal (69%). Tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan instagram terhadap body dissatisfaction, perilaku makan dan status gizi (p>0,05). Instagram tidak secara langsung mempengaruhi body dissatisfaction, perilaku makan, dan status gizi remaja, namun terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang berkontribusi lebih besar seperti interpersonal subjek, asupan makan, dan sosio demografi lainnya.

Abstract

Many adolescent nutritional problems occur due to wrong nutritional behavior, such as an imbalance between nutrition and recommended nutritional adequacy and reproductive health for adolescents. This can cause health problems, one of which is stunting. Therefore education on balanced nutrition and reproductive health is needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education on balanced nutrition and reproductive health whatsapp media on adolescent knowledge efforts to prevent stunting. The subjects of this study were senior high school students aged 16-20 years. The subject was selected using a purposive sampling method with the calculation of the Slovin formula totaling 77 respondents. The research method used is pre-experimental design with the one group pretest-posttest design approach. The research instrument used was a respondent characteristic questionnaire and questionnaire about balanced nutrition to measure respondents knowledge. The test method used to obtain knowledge results before and after being given education on balanced nutrition and reproductive health is the Wilcoxon test. The results of the post-test on balanced nutrition were mostly in the sufficient category, as many as 60 people (77.9%) and the results of the reproductive health post-test were mostly in the good category, as many as 74 people (96.1%). It can be concluded that balanced nutrition education (p=0.001) and reproductive health (p=0.001). It is hoped that students can add to their knowledge about balanced nutrition and reproductive health by applying the knowledge they have been given in their daily lives in an effort to prevent stunting.

Abstract

Konsumsi sayur dan buah di Indonesia masih rendah. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan permasalahan gizi termasuk pada anak usia sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan, preferensi, dan konsumsi sayur dan buah pada anak sekolah dasar di SDN Cilolohan Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yang dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2023. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 yang berusia 10-11 tahun. Pemilihan sampel secara non random dengan teknik quota sampling sejumlah 50 orang. Variabel pengetahuan dan preferensi menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur, sedangkan konsumsi sayur dan buah menggunakan metode wawancara recall 2x24 jam tidak berurut-turut. Rata-rata skor pengetahuan tentang sayur dan buah masih kurang, yaitu 29,80±17,44. Sebagian besar menyukai sayur dan buah dengan pengolahan dimasak, keadaan segar, dan dibuat jus. Rata-rata konsumsi sayur dan buah masih dibawah anjuran yaitu 27,10±39,75 g per orang per hari dan 30,90±63,87 g per orang per hari. Perlu adanya kajian efektif dalam hal promosi peningkatan konsumsi sayur dan buah melalui program intervensi edukasi gizi berbasis sekolah dan rumah.

Abstract

Dismenorea merupakan salah satu keluhan menstruasi yang kejadiannya cukup tinggi dan dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan menganalisis hubungan emotional eating, aktivitas fisik, dan kualitas diet dengan dismenorea primer pada mahasiswi PKU IPB. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional study dengan jumlah 80 subjek. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2023 di Asrama Putri PKU IPB dengan pengukuran tinggi dan berat badan, wawancara, serta pengisian kuisioner. Instrumen pengukuran emotional eating menggunakan Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire-Emotional (DEBQ-E), kualitas diet menggunakan Indonesia Healthy Eating Index, dan dismenorea menggunakan Multidimensional Scoring System For Dysmenorrhea. Mayoritas subjek mengalami dismenorea primer (77,5%) dengan derajat ringan (53,7%). Mayoritas subjek tergolong sebagai non emotional eater (56,3%), memiliki tingkat aktivitas fisik yang ringan (58,7%), serta kualitas diet yang tergolong need improvement (86,2%). Tidak ada hubungan antara status gizi, emotional eating, aktivitas fisik, dan kualitas diet dengan keadaan dismenorea (p>0,05), tetapi terdapat hubungan signifikan dengan riwayat dismenorea ibu (p=0,045). Tidak ada hubungan antara riwayat dismenorea ibu, emotional eating, aktivitas fisik, dan kualitas diet dengan derajat dismenorea (p>0,05), tetapi terdapat hubungan signfikan antara status gizi dengan derajat dismenorea (p=0,029).

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a condition where blood sugar levels become high due to insulin deficiency or resistance. One way to control blood sugar levels is to eat foods low in sugar and carbohydrates. An alternative to ice cream with a low-sugar formulation or using natural ingredients with anti-diabetic activity can be a suitable product for consumption by diabeticians. Several ingredients have antidiabetic activity, including bananas, butterfly pea flowers, and Moringa leaves. The research aims to determine the sensory quality characteristics and nutritional content of ice cream products. The experimental study used a completely randomized design (CRD). The design consisted of 3 treatments with the ratio F1 (100% kepok banana flour:0% kepok banana peel flour), F2 (95% kepok banana flour:5% kepok banana peel flour), and F3 (90% kepok banana flour:10% kepok banana peel flour). The statistical test used the Kruskal Wallis test and the follow-up test used the Mann Whitney The best formula was selected, namely F3 which had hedonic qualities namely brownish gray, slightly fragrant banana aroma, soft texture, sweet taste, and slightly bitter aftertaste. The hedonic test shows results in the range of 3-4 (normal-rather like). The energy content of F3 ice cream is 106 kcal/100g, 5.84 grams of carbohydrates, 0.17 g of fat, 0.32 g of protein and 38,863.21 ppm of antioxidant activity.

Abstract

The increase of intensity using online food delivery applications has not only give positive impact but also negative impact on lifestyle and health. An application system that provides maximum access can have an impact on uncontrolled types and amounts of food purchased. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the intensity of online food purchasing with diet quality and nutritional status of IPB female students. This research was conducted in February-March 2023 using a cross-sectional research design, involving 95 active female students of IPB who were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through interviews and self-administered online. Anthropometric data obtained through direct measurements. Data analysis used Microsoft Excel 2010 and IBM SPSS Statistics 21. There was no significant relationship between the intensity online food purchasing on diet quality and nutritional status (p>0.05). Female students are advised to pay attention to their diet by consuming food according to the principles of balanced nutrition and paying attention to variety, adequacy, and reducing consumption of high energy density foods to maintain diet quality and good nutritional status.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis hubungan antara stres dan emotional eating dengan kualitas diet dan asupan serta kecukupan zat gizi mahasiswa gizi tingkat akhir di Institut Pertanian Bogor. Desain penelitian ini merupakan studi cross sectional dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 50 mahasiswa Gizi Masyarakat IPB tingkat akhir. Penelitian dilakukan secara online dari bulan Mei hingga Juni 2023. Tingkat stres diukur menggunakan instrumen kuesioner DASS 42 dan emotional eating diukur menggunakan AEBQ. Sebagian besar subjek mengalami stres ringan (34%) dan emotional undereating (EUE) (60%). Sebagian besar subjek tergolong dalam kategori HEI need improvement (70%). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa stres tidak memiliki hubungan dengan emotional overeating (EOE) dan emotional undereating (EUE) (p>0,05). EOE dan EUE tidak memiliki hubungan dengan kualitas diet (p>0,05). Tingkat stres memiliki hubungan negatif dengan kualitas diet (p=0,000;r=-0,479). Tingkat stres memiliki hubungan positif dengan kecukupan energi (p=0,015;r=0,344), protein (p=0,004;r=0,396), dan lemak (p=0,005;r=0,388). EOE memiliki hubungan positif dengan asupan energi (p=0,020;r=0,329), protein (p=0,049;r=0,280), lemak (p=0,028;r=0,312), dan karbohidrat (p=0,019;r=0,330). Selain itu, diketahui EUE memiliki hubungan negatif dengan asupan protein (p=0,043;r=-0,288) dan asupan karbohidrat (p=0,028;r=-0,311).
