Abstract

This paper aims at analyzing and understanding the efforts of pesantren in increasing the students’ ghiroh to learn through literacy culture in pesantren. With ghiroh of learning, it is expected that students can carry out learning well. Ghiroh learning is a measurement for learning success. By forming good Ghiroh on students, it is able to form good behaviors especially forming and applying literacy culture in pesantren, in the form of reading and writing. Literacy culture in pesantren is a habitual activity that is practiced by students by reading, writing and producing an art work. This research uses a qualitative approach with case study type. The research site is Pondok Pesantren Lubbul Labib, Maron, Probolinggo. The results showed that the efforts to increase the student’s motivation through literacy culture in pesantren were carried out through: 1) INTISHOB program (Inti'as Fi Shobah) or giving encouragement in the morning, 2) study groups, 3) cultural orientation, 4) providing library and e-library facilities, and 5) learning evaluation. Through these efforts, the literacy culture of santri has developed well in Pondok Pesantren Lubbul Labib, Maron, Probolinggo

Abstract

It was very rare the researchers who studied the learning of classical book with English in Islamic boarding schools, whereas learning classical book with English was really important for the progress of the times, santri who were studying classical book with English could simultaneously get two fields of science and could be a special attraction in preaching to face modern society. The results showed that, 1. The implementation of the learning classical book with English was carried out twice a week that was called as the first session and the second session, while the method used was Bandongan and discussion method. Bandongan was held in the first session and the discussion method was carried out in the second session.  2. The level of santri's understanding of learning classical book with English was very good. 3. The problems were the implementation of the first session was very early morning, santri’s understandings were different and some boards didn’t join the first session of program. Learning classical book using English was worth maintaining and continues to be developed. The positive influence was felt a lot by santri, besides being able to learn English that they could also learn classical book both nahwu-sharraf science and its contents.

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) is the traditional Islamic educational institution. Kiai as the leader of pesantren has an authority in managing, choosing the education system, curriculum (manhaj) that will be used, and also kinds of text books that will be used in teaching and learning process.  Generally, Kiai uses Kitab Kuning (KK, yellow books) also called classical Islamic books, as the material of teaching-learning in pesantren. This paper aims at examining teaching-learning of KK in pesantren. The research method of the study is qualitative . The results of the reseach are that 1) there are levels of learning material KK in line with cognitive development, 2) the pesantren applied the prerequisite knowledge, 3) the pesantren applied the methods of teaching learning, 4) the pesantren applied the tutorial of KK teaching learning.

Abstract

In recent time, character education is viewed as important thing in education, even it has been applied in all education institutions.  In this writing, the approach of integration theory is used to analyze the integration of character education in learning process of study at school, especially the learning process of Akidah Akhlak. It is because akidah akhlak has a big role in teaching the value of Islam to the students. The objective of this research is to know the process of integration of character education in learning process of Akidah Akhlak. This research used descriptive qualitative method by using phenomenological approach, the phenomenology approach used to  understand the phenomenon by looking directly how is the integration of character education in learning process of Akidah Akhlak which is being taught by teachers in class rooms of MIN 11 Aceh Tenggara, based on observation, interview and documentation.  The result of this research shows that the integration of character education in learning process of Akidah Akhlak is done through the main competence, the objectives of study and the learning method used by akidah akhlak’s teachers.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims at investigating the instructional methods applied by the Islamic religious education teacher with visual impairment in teaching the students with mild and moderate intellectual disability.This study is a qualitative descriptive research. The data were collected through in-depthinterview, observation and documentation techniques. Triangulation is used as the technique to facilitate the validation of data, including the methods, sources and theories. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique includes data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing.The findings of this study reveal that in the learning activities, the visual impaired teacher uses several methods, including lecture method, discussion method, demonstration method, and assignment method on students with mild intellectual disability. Meanwhile, the methods used on students with moderate intellectual disability include lecture method, discussion method, storytelling method, demonstration method and drilling method. The process is equipped with learning media, including audio-visual media, screen reader technology, printouts in which self-helped students also provide assistance to the teacher.This study describes the learning process of Islamic religiouseducation conducted by visually impaired teacherand it is expected that the findings will provide insight and input for teachers in teaching students with intellectual disabilities both in schools for special needs and similar inclusive schools. Keywords: Methods, Visually Impaired Teachers, Intellectually Disability, Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

The current technological advances, making various informations easily spread throughout the world. It includes the entry of foreign culture (Westernization) into the Indonesian State. This westernization does not only have impact on politics, culture, region and technology, but in its development, westernization began to go into science. This research uses a literary study method, namely data collection activities by conducting a review of various books, literature, notes and reports realting to the topic discussed. As a result, it can be seen that knowledge Westernization occurs due to the development of shopist who generally have an impact on knowledge in the West. Knowledge in the West as a whole only relies on ratio in describing various things. So the process has strengthened the thesis of the knowledge Westernization. Knowledge in the West has the characteristic of removing the value of belief and spirituality, so this concept breeds secularization. Whereas secularization itself is not only a western worldview that is not Islamic, but also contrary to Islamic teachings. Secularization eliminates revelation as a source of knowledge and negates the  role of God in the scientific procces. This is what makes the knowledge Westernization increasingly clear.

Abstract

This research aims at analysing the implementation of zoning system and its effect on the Islamic education institution. It also analyses the opportunity and resistance of the implementation of Permendikbud No. 14 2018. The approach of this research is qualitative. The data sources are headmasters, parents or public community dealing with school and all documents related to the content of Permendikbud No. 14 2018. The data collection is done by doing observation, interview and taking the documentation related to the topic. The result shows: first, the response from the institutions under the education and culture department to this regulation are: 1) the state education institution located in the urban area both in the level of elementary and higher school have implemented the regulation; 2) state education institution located in the suburban area have not implemented the regulation; 3) the private education institution and institution under the pesantren’s authority have not implemented the regulation secondly, education institution under the Religious Department got the most positive effect from the regulation of Permendikbud No.14 2018 because the institution under the Religious Department  1) became the first choice because they do not implement the zoning system; 2) are challenged to increase their academic quality to fir the society’s need; 3) got significant  additional students; third point is Islamic education institution have a bigger opportunity to get high quality newcomers because the enrolment is not restricted in zone, with change to increase the resources quality and upgrade the school’s image on the society, and also change the student’s enrolment system becomes more innovative.

Abstract

This article is based in one of the scientific legacies by Mahmud Zamakhshari on the work on spiritual education and morality "Atvaq uz-zahab fil-mawo'iz val-khutab" ("Golden Necklaces of teachings and exhortations") and the transmission of knowledge, the exhortation to know its documents and evidence. Az-Zamahshari's request for knowledge refers to his travels to Bukhara, Khorasan, Damascus, Iraq, and the Hijaz, where he received permission from his teachers for various books and sciences, as well as the permission given by the scholar to many of his students. At the same time, a sample of Zamakhshari's authorized letters (letters ijaza) is given. At the end of our article, we will focus on some important and necessary golden advices in the spiritual education of students from the work of the great scholar Mahmud Zamakhshari "Atvaq uz-zahab fil-mawaiz val-khutab".

Abstract

Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar telah ditetapkan oleh Mendikbud RI Nadiem Makarim sejak Desember 2019. Namun, pemerintah kurang memaksimalkan strategi penerapan kebijakan pendidikan sehingga banyak masyarakat yang belum memahami tentang konsep Merdeka Belajar. Padahal, peran pemerintah dalam melaksanakan strategi penerapan kebijakan, pemahaman dan tanggapan yang baik dari masyarakat khususnya para pelaku pendidikan seperti guru, siswa, dosen dan mahasiswa dapat mendukung keberhasilan pelaksanaan sebuah kebijakan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan beragam persepsi calon guru PAI tentang konsep pelaksanaan Merdeka Belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis kualitatif yang menggunakan teknik penggumpulan data berupa angket terbuka dan studi literatur. Subjek penelitian adalah para calon guru PAI dan berbagai sumber pustaka mengenai Merdeka Belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) reponden memiliki beragam persepsi mengenai konsep Merdeka Belajar, yang dapat dideskripsikan sebagai berikut: 52% (mayoritas) calon guru PAI memahami Merdeka Belajar sebagai kebijakan yang hanya berisi tentang penghapusan UN serta konsep belajar tanpa dibebani oleh capaian skor, 30% (hampir setengah) calon guru PAI memahami Merdeka Belajar sebagai konsep inovasi pendidikan yang memberi kebebasan pengembangan potensi guru serta siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar tanpa melewati rambu-rambu hukum pendidikan di Indonesia serta 18% (minoritas) calon guru PAI belum mengetahui mengenai konsep pelaksanaan Merdeka Belajar; (2) Merdeka Belajar dianggap sebagai kebijakan yang baik dan perlu dicoba untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia, mereka berharap pemerintah dapat mengoptimalkan tahap sosialisasi, piloting serta desiminasi dari penerapan Merdeka Belajar.

Abstract

Educational technology is an applied discipline that develops according to the needs and demands of society. SAMR is a Computer technology-based learning model popularized by Ruben Puentedura. The purpose of this study is to provide an alternative for educators to be able to integrate technology. This research method uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation,  and online documentation. The results of this study found that the SAMR learning model is not new in the world of education in the country. SAMR has similarities with bloom's taxonomic theory, which has a stage that to like a ladder. So this discussion is exciting to be researched and implemented at elementary level students. AbstrakTeknologi pendidikan merupakan suatu disiplin ilmu terapan yang berkembang sesuai kebutuhan dan tuntutan masyarakat. SAMR  merupakan model pembelajaran berbasis teknologi komputer yang di populerkan oleh  Ruben Puentedura. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan alternative kepada pendidik agar dapat mengintegrasikan tehnologi ke dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tehnik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi secara online. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa model pembelajaran SAMR ini bukanlah hal baru dalam dunia pendidikan di tanah air, SAMR memiliki kesamaan dengan teori taksonomi bloom yang memiliki tahapan yang diibaratkan seperti anak tangga. Sehingga pembahasan ini menarik untuk diteliti dan diimplementasikan pada siswa tingkat dasar.
