Abstract

The digital era has transformed parenting patterns, encouraging the need to integrate Islamic values in digital parenting practices. This study analyzes the concept of digital parenting through the lens of tarbiyah islamiyah and the impact of technology on child development psychology with a qualitative approach through library research. Content analysis was carried out on the literature of Islamic education and contemporary psychology to answer three research questions: (1) What is the representation of the concept of digital parenting and tarbiyah islamiyah in Islamic literature? (2) What is the impact of digital technology on children's cognitive, emotional, and spiritual development? (3) How can the principle of tarbiyah islamiyah be implemented in digital parenting? The findings reveal that digital parenting in Islam must be based on the concepts of muraqabah, tawazun, and ihsan, while technology risks causing developmental disruptions if not strictly supervised. This study offers an Islamic Digital Parenting framework that combines developmental psychology with Islamic values, emphasizing screen time restrictions, moral media literacy, and parental examples. Research recommendations include socialization of this model to parents and educational institutions, as well as the development of Islamic parenting curricula in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and fear of missing out with phubbing behavior in adolescents. Phubbing is the behavior of ignoring the surrounding environment because they are more focused on their gadgets than establishing social interactions. Self-control is an individual's ability to manage themselves which is characterized by the ability to think (cognitive), act (behavior) and decide something according to their values, norms and beliefs. Fear of missing out is the fear of missing precious moments with friends or peer groups if the individual does not participate. The research method used is quantitative correlational with a sample of 139 adolescents aged 12-15 years. The data collection instrument used a phubbing scale, a self-control scale and a fear of missing out scale which were measured using a Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out using validity, reliability and multiple regression analysis tests. Based on the results of the analysis, it showed that the simultaneous correlation value F = 52.579 with a significance of 0.00 (p <0.05), meaning that there is a relationship between self-control and fear of missing out with phubbing in adolescents. Next, the partial correlation value between self-control and phubbing has a coefficient of t = -1.183 with a significance of 0.239 (p>0.05). The results show that although there is a tendency towards a negative relationship, this relationship is not statistically strong enough. The partial correlation between fear of missing out and phubbing has a coefficient of t = 7.067 with a significance of 0.000 (p<0.05), which means that there is a positive relationship between fear of missing out and phubbing in adolescents. The effective contribution given is 0.436. This means that self-control and fear of missing out have an influence of 43.6% on adolescent phubbing.

Abstract

This study aims to identify research trends regarding the relationship between education and women's participation in the workforce. A qualitative method is employed, using a systematic literature review. Data are collected from the Scopus database, consisting of 114 publication documents from 2000 to 2025. Data analysis is conducted using Vosviewer and Biblioshiny software. The findings show that research on education and women's economic participation has increased, peaking in 2021, with most publications appearing as journal articles in the social sciences. Thematic mapping identifies core research themes such as gender, education, employment, and sustainable development, with notable attention to socio-cultural barriers, technological inequality, and policy interventions. Although women’s educational attainment has improved globally, persistent challenges-such as social norms, limited access to formal employment, and inadequate policy support-continue to hinder their full economic participation. The study also reveals a significant gap in research on women's empowerment in certain sectors and highlights the necessity for cross-sectoral collaboration and further studies in underexplored regions. These findings are essential for strengthening the relationship between education and women’s economic empowerment, supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of TikTok Affiliate in enhancing the sales of DTF printed t-shirts at Wifiprincess, a small fashion business in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the owner, an employee handling affiliate operations, and a customer, alongside participatory observations. The findings reveal that TikTok Affiliate significantly boosts sales through a cyclical process involving affiliate recruitment, negotiation, new product development, content promotion, and order conversions. The process aligns with the AIDA model (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action), where affiliate content captures attention, builds interest, stimulates desire, and drives purchases, while the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) highlights the dominance of the peripheral route in influencing consumer behavior through visual appeal. Key indicators such as authentic content creation, trend responsiveness, and strategic affiliate collaboration were critical to success. Theoretically, this research enriches the application of AIDA and ELM in digital marketing contexts, particularly on short-video platforms. Practically, it offers actionable insights for small businesses to leverage TikTok Affiliate for cost-effective market expansion, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and cultural relevance in content strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of forgiveness therapy in reducing academic procrastination among junior high school (JHS) students, as well as to investigate gender-based differences in the effectiveness of the therapy. The research used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach on two groups, male and female students. The forgiveness therapy intervention was conducted over three sessions, with a maximum duration of 120 minutes per session. The results of the analysis showed that forgiveness therapy significantly reduced academic procrastination for both male (t = 4.344; p = 0.012) and female students (t = 9.487; p = 0.001). The average procrastination scores for male students decreased from 61.20 to 51.20, while for female students, it decreased from 58.40 to 55.40. Furthermore, a significant difference was found between the two groups in the level of procrastination reduction (t = 3.012; p = 0.038), with a larger impact on male students. These findings indicate that forgiveness therapy is an effective psychological intervention for reducing academic procrastination, with its effectiveness varying based on gender.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between sleep quality, emotion regulation, and academic performance among high school students. Learning is a vital process in developing students' skills, knowledge, and attitudes, with academic performance serving as a key indicator of success. High school students are in their adolescent phase, which is marked by physical, psychological, and social changes, as well as academic pressures that can affect their academic performance. One factor that may influence academic performance is sleep quality, which can impact concentration, memory, and mental health. On the other hand, effective emotion regulation can help students cope with academic stress and enhance their performance. This research was conducted to analyze whether sleep quality and emotion regulation influence the academic performance of high school students. The results showed no significant relationship between sleep quality and emotion regulation on students’ academic performance, with a significance value of 0.151 (p < 0.05). This indicates that other factors such as family support, motivation, and learning strategies may play a more dominant role in influencing students' academic performance. This study suggests that future research should consider the dynamic interplay among these factors and adopt a more in-depth approach to explore other variables that may affect students’ academic outcomes.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of gender and women’s employment status on mobile phone use for in-store financial transactions in Indonesia. Using micro data from the 2021 Global Findex survey and a logistic regression model, this study analyzes the extent to which being a woman, as well as being an employed woman, influences the likelihood of using a mobile phone for in-store transactions. The results show that in general, although not significantly, women are less likely than men to use mobile phones for in-store transactions. However, employed women have a significantly higher probability of using mobile phones for this purpose than unemployed women. These findings demonstrate the importance of women’s participation in the workforce on digital financial behavior in developing countries. Equalizing access to digital literacy and empowering women’s economy are key to driving fairer digital financial inclusion. Robustness tests show that the average marginal effects obtained are consistent. This study contributes to the literature on gender-based digital financial inclusion and provides policy implications for expanding access to mobile financial services more equitably, especially in developing countries.

Abstract

Women are increasingly participating actively in the political sphere; However, their representation in political campaign media often remains entrenched in patriarchal discourse. This study aims to analyze the visual and textual constructions in two political campaign posters of female legislative candidates from the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), which incorporate the terms in branding with “Mamah Muda” and “Mamah Semok” as part of their personal branding. Employing the Multimodal Critical Discourse Analysis approach (Kress & van Leeuwen), this research explores how the meaning of female body representation is constructed through the combination of imagery, text, color, and symbols in campaign posters. The findings reveal that the representation of female candidates continues to be framed through maternal yet sensual imagery and patriarchal aesthetics that emphasize visual appeal. Such portrayals reinforce softened femininity norms and internalize power relations that position women as visual objects. This study concludes that political campaigns in Indonesia have not fully escaped from gender-biased narratives, and that the political arena remains a non-neutral space in terms of gender.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the Human Development Index (HDI) and its components—life expectancy and per capita expenditure—along with the labor force participation rate (LFPR), on poverty in Semarang City using time series data from 2010 to 2024. Two regression models were tested: Model 1 used HDI and LFPR, while Model 2 used life expectancy, per capita expenditure, and LFPR. The results show that per capita expenditure significantly reduces poverty, while life expectancy shows a positive and significant effect. HDI also has a negative and significant effect in the aggregate model. LFPR is not statistically significant in either model. Both models passed classical assumption tests, and Model 2 showed higher explanatory power than Model 1. These findings highlight the importance of income in poverty reduction and suggest further research into the demographic dimensions of poverty. Comparative modeling is recommended for broader policy insights.

Abstract

People's purchasing power are dropped during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic resulting in deflation. This condition will aggravate the macroeconomic performance and economic activity of the community. The government as an economic stabilizer must take appropriate steps to create a good economic climate. On this basis, this study was formulated to review the technical efficiency of the social and economic recovery safety policy on price level movements during the COVID-19 period. This study uses efficiency analysis: Data Envelopment Analysis and Regression of short-term OLS-Estimator (STEOLSE) which involves all components of the social-economic recovery budget, inflation, economic uncertainty, economic policy uncertainty, and COVID-19 fluctuations. The results suggest that the technical efficiency of the social-economic recovery policy in the previous period will lead to a decrease in the price level. Meanwhile, the increase in COVID-19 cases caused prolonged deflation. This indicates that good budget absorption will be followed by an increase in people's purchasing power. However, the increase in COVID-19 cases will encourage people to continue to practice social distancing so that consumption activities are also disrupted.
