Abstract

This research aimed to develop a news channel entitled “English” by helping to create news articles that focus on the theme of Vocational Education with the scope of institutions or campuses in the Malang Area as many as 20 news articles or 8.267 words. This research was conducted based on problems in the leading mass media “TIMES Indonesia” which has an “English” channel. It is known that they only upload news articles on the “English” channel one to two times a day. The problem is emphasized by a statement from one of the English Editor team stating that basically, they compile English news articles with the majority focusing on four themes namely entertainment, lifestyle, tourism, and culinary. From the competition among other online-based mass media, TIMES Indonesia is not very prominent in terms of uploading English news articles. The researcher applied the Design and Development Research model by Richey and Klein (2014) by adapting five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection conducted by the researcher was observation, interviews, and surveys. This research was expected to compete with competitors from other online-based mass media in terms of English news articles and vocational education and also useful for many parties, especially for TIMES Indonesia.

Abstract

This study discusses the adaptation strategies employed by students of the Faculty of Performing Arts at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Padang Panjang, West Sumatra Province, in response to the campus parking policy. The aim of this research is to explore how students adapt to the parking regulations and to examine both the positive and negative impacts experienced directly by the interviewees on campus. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that students have developed various adaptation strategies, such as adjusting their arrival schedules and using alternative routes to campus, including walking. These strategies reflect the students’ efforts to cope with the limitations of parking facilities on campus.

Abstract

(Cirata Reservoir area is one of the public water resources resulting from the damming of the Citarum River, which has the main function as a hydroelectric power plant (PLTA). The reservoir is also becoming a centre of economic activity for the surrounding community, which is for the floating net cage business and the distribution of floating cage products. The high level of economic activity that occurs in Cirata Reservoir has the consequence of causing various problems that threaten the sustainability of Cirata Reservoir. The conditions that occur in Cirata Reservoir indicate that there is institutional ineffectiveness in the management of reservoir resources. If this institutional ineffectiveness continues, it will threaten the existence of Cirata Reservoir, whose function is needed by many parties. This study aims to analyze the existing institutions in the management of Cirata Reservoir in West Java through in-depth interviews with resource persons and content analysis of existing regulations. The results show that regulations related to the management and utilization of Cirata Reservoir already exist, but their implementation is still not optimal. Institutions have been established based on existing regulations with the roles of each stakeholder and the relationships between them but have not been implemented effectively. Coordination, supervision, and law enforcement are important keys in implementing the institutional design of Cirata Reservoir management to realize sustainable reservoir management.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of learning tools that integrate Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) with a collaborative learning model within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum for sixth-grade students at SDN Lahuafu. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results show that HOTS-based learning tools can be optimally applied in thematic learning, especially through activities that require students to think critically, such as group discussions, contextual problem-solving, and open-ended questions. Collaborative learning provides opportunities for students to actively work together in solving problems and sharing understanding reflectively. Supporting factors identified include student enthusiasm, teacher readiness as facilitators, and the flexibility of the Merdeka Curriculum. On the other hand, obstacles encountered include time constraints, disparities in student abilities, and limited learning resources. Overall, this implementation has proven effective in enhancing students’ active engagement, critical thinking skills, and the overall quality of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of interactive teaching materials based on TPACK ( Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge ) on students' literacy skills and learning outcomes. class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Sigi on the material Drama Akhir Sang Tirani . The background of this study is based on the need for learning innovations that are able to integrate technology, pedagogy, and content effectively in improving the quality of learning in the digital era. The research method used is the method quantitative through quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design . The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class using TPACK- based interactive teaching materials and the control class using conventional teaching materials. The instruments used included a questionnaire. ability literacy and learning outcome test questions students. The results of the data analysis show that there are significant influence between the experimental class and the control class both in literacy skills and learning outcomes with distribution of questionnaire data in posttest class experiment 33 % in the very high category and 67% in the low category high . While in the posttest class control by 57% category high and 43% category medium . So that it is said results obtained class experiment more Good compared to class control . While the data on the results Study show student with average value on posttest class experiment more Good that is by 77 compared to class control with value 59. So the self in the experimental class experienced a higher increase compared to the control class. This finding shows that the integration of the TPACK model in the use of interactive teaching materials has a positive impact on improving literacy and student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended for educators to adopt the TPACK approach in designing teaching materials in order to create more effective and relevant learning to the needs of the times.

Abstract

Nganjuk Regency in East Java is one of the contributors to rice production in Indonesia, where agricultural land areas are more dominant than non-agricultural land areas. However, this sector faces major challenges including declining production due to internal and external factors such as climate change, limited infrastructure, and less than optimal use of modern agricultural technology. This study aims to analyze the criteria for selecting a location for designing a paddy research facility in Nganjuk Regency to support sustainable production increases. The methodology used includes analysis of regional potential based on statistical data on agricultural production, agro-climatic conditions, and topography. The survey results show that although rice production in this area reached 418.10 tons in 2023 and became one of the contributors to the rice harvest in East Java Province, intensive research and infrastructure development have not been carried out. The main criteria for selecting a location include proximity to water resources and ease of land access, suitability with regional spatial planning, and potential with other agricultural research centers. The design of this facility aims to be an integrated solution not only to increase the production and quality of high-quality seed varieties, but also to support scientific research and cutting-edge technology in the agricultural sector. By integrating technology-based approaches and local potential, this facility can become a model for sustainable agricultural development in Nganjuk Regency.
