Jurnal Counseling Care (2597-6923) (2581-0650) is the official, peer-reviewed, open-access, electronic journal of the Study Program of Guidance and Counselling, Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat,is published biannual (April and October) dedicated to research and commentary on empirical, theoretical and innovative topics in the profession of school counseling and related areas. The goal in establishing Jurnal Counseling Care was to create an exciting new resource for the school counseling profession and related area with relevant and up-to-date material. Jurnal Counseling Care, publishes articles on practice, theory, and research in all areas of Guidance and Counseling also education related to Guidance and Counseling. Every submitted manuscript will be reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers using double blind review method. This journal registered in the Crossref system with Digital Object Identifier (DOI) prefix 10.22202.

Abstract

Higher education is one of the places that can be used as a forum in the intellectualization of the nation, one of the important components in higher education in educating dance children is academic advisor. But in fact many Academic Advisers (PA) in many universities do not function, one of them as a counselor in the academic field. At STKIP PGRI West Sumatra academic advisors involved lecturers as counseling services. This is very important because students need academic advisors as counselors who can understand the problems they face in the study period. The results of this study indicate that on campus STKIP PGRI West Sumatra PA has a very important role in advancing students in the academic field, as well as helping students in developing careers that they must choose or determine

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aims of this study were to 1) describe students' maladjustment based on a reality counseling approach; 2) design a counseling service program based on the analysis of reality counseling maladjustment. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this research is all Class VIII Junior High School 12 Padang totaling 334 people. The sampling technique was carried out by proportional random sampling of as many as 77 participants. The technique of collecting research data was through a questionnaire and the data were analyzed by descriptive statistics of the percentage technique. The results showed that: 1) maladjustment of students based on the reality counseling approach was in a low category; 2) the planned counseling program is basic services in the form of information services. Meanwhile, efforts to overcome maladjustment behavior through group guidance services. Keywords: Program, Counseling Reality, Maladjustment   ABSTRAKTujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan maladjustment peserta didik berbasis pendekatan konseling realitas; 2) merancang program pelayanan konseling berdasarkan analisis maladjustment konseling realitas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif.Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh Kelas VIII Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 12 Padang berjumlah 334 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan propotional random sampling yaitu sebanyak 77 partisipan. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian melalui angket dan data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Maladjustment peserta didik berbasis pendekatan konseling realitas berada pada kategori sedikit; 2) program konseling yang direncanakan adalah layan dasar dengan bentuk layanan informasi. Sedangkan upaya untuk mengatasi perilaku maladjusmet melalui layanan layanan bimbingan kelompok. Kata Kunci :  Program, konseling Realitas, Maladjustment.

Abstract

Paracetamol, Caffeine, and Carisoprodol (PCC) case of drug abuse became one of the special concerns for the government. It needs counseling service to help students abstain from PCC abuse. One of the way that can be provided is through information services. This study is to aim whether information services are effective to reduce students' positive attitudes toward PCC. This research is a quantitative research with pre-experimental design method in the form of the one group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected using attitude scale. Data were analyzed descriptively and hypothesis tested by using t test. The result of this research is information service effective in reducing students' positive attitude toward PCC. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the existence of students who mock and make fun of their friends, there are students who like to spit on their friends and there are students who humiliate their friends when the learning process takes place. The purpose of this study was to describe the bullying behavior of students at State Senior High School 1 Pancung Soal. This research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive method. The study population was 159 students who were selected by proportional random sampling technique with 61 participants. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Meanwhile, for data analysis using percentage classification. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the bullying behavior of students at the State High School 1 Pancung Soal is in the fairly high category. This research is recommended to students in order to reduce unfavorable behavior towards fellow friends by fostering positive thinking in order to maintain an attitude of friendship with each other. Kwyword : Behavior, Bullying, Students. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya peserta didik yang yang mengejek dan memperolok-olokkan temannya, adanya peserta didik yang suka meludahi teman dan adanya peserta didik yang mempermalukan temannya ketika proses belajar berlangsung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tentang perilaku bullying peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Pancung Soal. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah 159 peserta didik yang dipilih dengan teknik propotional random sampling dengan 61 partisipan. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket. Sedangkan untuk analisis data menggunakan klasifikasi persentase.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perilaku bullying peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Pancung Soal berada pada kategori cukup tinggi.   Penelitian ini direkomendasikan kepada peserta didik agar dapat mengurangi perilaku yang kurang baik terhadap sesama teman dengan cara menumbuhkan pemikiran positif agar dapat menjaga sikap pertemanan satu sama lain. Kata Kunci : Perilaku , Bullying, Peserta Didik.

Abstract

Peserta didik memiliki karakteristik yang unik. Keunikan karakteristik peserta didik tersebut berasal dari latar belakang budaya yang berbeda dan beragam atau disebut multikultural. Kenyataannya, upaya yang diberikan oleh guru BK/Konselor di sekolah dalam konseling masih memiliki keterbatsan, karena konseling di sebagian yang dilaksanakan masih terkesan instan dan jauh dari yang diharapkan. Peran penting konselor dengan bekal wawasan, pemahaman, keterampilan, nilai dan sikap dalam melaksanakan layanan konseling multikultural sangat strategis. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru BK/Konselor untuk melaksanakan konseling yang multikultural yaitu melalui pendekatan konseling eklektik. Konseling eklektik yang dibekali pemahaman multikultural dapat berperan strategis dengan mengintegrasikan beberapa ragam pendekatan sehingga diharapkan dapat mengembangkan KES klien. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian studi literatur. Mencari dan menganalisa referensi teori yang relevan dengan permasalahan yakni pendekatan konseling eklektik terhadap peserta didik yang multikultural. Melalui studi literatur didapatkan kajian pentingnya mengembangkan pendekatan konseling eklektik terhadap peserta didik yang multikultural.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the existence of class-stayed students due to lack of communication with the teacher, lack of cleverness in using good language, the presence of students who get less attention from parents. Research Objectives: 1. Describe the profile of social interaction of students living in the classroom, 2. Describe the parenting style of students who live in the classroom. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The results of the study revealed that: 1. Students who stayed in the class were mostly caused by imitation of bad behavior, so that students did not respect others. 2. Parenting patterns that are not in accordance with the characteristics of students that affect the behavior of students in school. Keywords: Social Interaction, Living Class, Parenting Parents ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya peserta didik tinggal kelas dikarenakan kurangnya berkomunikasi dengan guru, kurang pandai dalam menggunakan bahasa yang baik, adanya peserta didik yang kurang mendapatkan perhatian dari orang tua. Tujuan penelitian:1.Mendeskripsikan profil interaksi sosial peserta didik tinggal kelas, 2. Mendeskripsikan pola asuh orang tua peserta didik tinggal kelas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: 1. Peserta didik yang tinggal kelas banyak disebabkan karena peniruan tingkah laku yang kurang baik, sehingga peserta didik kurang menghargai orang lain. 2. Abstract

This research is motivated by the developmental tasks of students that have not been achieved. The aims of this research are to describe: 1) Profile of the achievement of students' developmental tasks in group guidance using the sociodrama method; 2) the design model of group guidance services in helping the achievement of the developmental tasks of students by using the theoretically acceptable sociodrama method. The research method used is research and development. The research population was 34 students, the research instrument used was the Inventori Tugas Perkembangan (ITP)  and the data dialysis technique used the Aplikasi Tugas Perkembangan (ATP). Furthermore, the supervising lecturer as a content validator of the group guidance design model in helping the achievement of students' developmental tasks using the sociodrama method.The results of the study revealed that: 1) The achievement of students' developmental tasks on average was at the level of self-awareness development, namely 4.48; 2). The design model for group guidance services in helping students achieve the developmental tasks of using the Sociodrama method is theoretically acceptable. Keywords: Group guidance, sociodrama, developmental.

Abstract

This research is based on the researcher's awareness of the students who have low learning motivation that there are students who play in learning, lazy learning as disturbing his friends, telling when the teacher explained the lesson, playing Mobile, doodling his book that has nothing to do with lessons and doodling tables and student achievements that are still many under the minimum mastery criteria . This study aims to describe students' learning motivation. The sample in this study amounted to 210 students. This research is a research with quantitative descriptive approach. The result of this study shows that the students' learning motivation belongs to high category, based on the indicators of persistence in learning are in the high category, so the tenacious indicators are in high category, the interest indicator is in the high category and the independence indicator is in the category

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the role of parenting style in building entrepreneurial character in children. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The subjects in this study were 4 students who were entrepreneurs. The data collection technique used was interviews and observation. Based on the research that has been done, it shows that of the four parenting styles, namely authoritarian, authoritative, permissive , and neglectful. Authoritative parenting plays a major role in shaping the character of entrepreneurship in the subject. Entrepreneurial character is formed from authoritative parenting, namely honesty, consistency, never giving up, not making hasty decisions, setting prices according to standards, maintaining product quality, maintaining good manners, maintaining relationships with customers, working hard, and being disciplined. Keywoard: Parenting style, character, entrepreneurship ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pola asuh orang tua dalam membangun karakter entrepreneurship pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 4 orang mahasiswa yang berwirausaha. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa dari keempat gaya pola asuh yaitu authoritarian (otoriter), authoritative (otoritatif), permissive (permisif), dan neglectful (abai). Pola asuh otoritatif lah yang paling berperan dalam membentuk karakter entrepreneurship pada subjek. Karakter entrepreneurship yang terbentuk dari pola asuh otoritatif yaitu jujur, konsisten, pantang menyerah, tidak boleh mengambil keputusan tergesa- gesa, menetapkan harga sesuai standar, menjaga kualitas produk, menjaga tata krama, menjaga relasi dengan pelanggan, bekerja keras, dan disiplin.  Kata Kunci: pola asuh orang tua, karakter, entrepreneurship

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe: (1) Teachers of Guidance and Counseling Competence seen from the service formation phase in group (2) Teachers of Guidance and Counseling Competence seen from the service transitional in group, (3) Teachers of Guidance and Counseling Competence seen from the service phase activity in group, (4) Teachers of Guidance and Counseling Competence seen from the service ending phase in group. This study was descriptive qualitative approach.  The informants were teachers of Guidance and Counseling as the leader of the group, group members, and coworkers’ group leader. The instruments were interview and documentation study. Technique of data analysis was data reduction, data presentation and conclusion inductively. The results of the study were (1) Phase of formation has not focus on the explanation of the activities purpose towards the growing sense to know each other among the group members, (2) Phase of transition has not been confirmed to move on the next phase, (3) Phase of activity has not been demonstrated as a regulator in this activity, and yet liven in group, (4) Phase of ending did not really understand that the group members can commit to either, yet the conclusion of this activity. The Implication is teachers of Guidance and Counseling obviously need to improve their competence in service groups according to the phases  of group services.
