Jurnal Counseling Care (2597-6923) (2581-0650) is the official, peer-reviewed, open-access, electronic journal of the Study Program of Guidance and Counselling, Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat,is published biannual (April and October) dedicated to research and commentary on empirical, theoretical and innovative topics in the profession of school counseling and related areas. The goal in establishing Jurnal Counseling Care was to create an exciting new resource for the school counseling profession and related area with relevant and up-to-date material. Jurnal Counseling Care, publishes articles on practice, theory, and research in all areas of Guidance and Counseling also education related to Guidance and Counseling. Every submitted manuscript will be reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers using double blind review method. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of reality counseling with bibliotherapy techniques on increasing student motivation at MTsN 2 Payakumbuh. This type of research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The design used in this study is a pre-experimental design with the type of one group pre-test and post-test design by measuring students' learning motivation using the same instrument in the pre-test and post-test measurements. The population in this study was class VII students, while the sample in this study were 12 students who had low learning motivation. The instrument used is the Likert model of learning motivation scale instrument. The technique used is random sampling. The results showed that there was a significant effect of reality counseling on bibliotherapy techniques on increasing student motivation at MTsN 2 Payakumbuh. The researcher recommends that counselors and Guidance and Counseling teachers be able to apply reality counseling with bibliotherapy techniques to student learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe: 1) the representation of permissive parents in shaping adolescent's behavior. 2) the impact of permissive parents in shaping adolescent's behavior. 3) the developmental model  of guidance and counseling services in shaping adolescent's behavior as a result of the permissive parenting. This study was descriptive qualitative approach. The key informants were two parents, two teenagers with one of their sister. The instrument used was structured interview and technique of data analysis was data reduction, data presentation and conclusion inductively. The results showed that: 1) the representation of permissive parents in shaping adolescent's behavior; it strongly needs to give them freedom to do many things without control and guidance. 2) the impact of permissive parents in shaping adolescent's behavior was they  frequently use the freedom given  without  responsibility. 3) the developmental model  of guidance and counseling services in shaping adolescent's behavior as a result of the permissive parenting was using an improved communication model and implementing counseling reality. The implication of this study is to apply the various types of parenting so that the control and guidance have a good impact for the adolescents. Abstract

ABSTRACT The sudden change in the learning system went online due to the Covid-19 outbreak causing many students to become stressed. Stress is a condition of emotional instability that comes from environmental factors. Has symptoms such as difficulty relaxing, irritability, and anxiety. This study was conducted to determine the level of stress during online learning for high school students in the city of Payakumbuh and the district of Lima Puluh Kota. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods using the DASS-21 data collection instrument developed by Lovibond and Lovibond. Respondents in this study were 100 students consisting of 75 girls and 30 boys who came from five different schools. The results of the study show that respondents have a different picture of stress, where most of the respondents (56%) are categorized as normal, while a few others experience mild stress (11%), moderate stress (15%), severe stress (8%) and stress. very heavy (10%). The differences that students show in facing online learning can be influenced by many factors such as personality type, environment, school majors, and many more. Keywords: Covid-19, Online learning, Stress ABSTRAKPerubahan sistem pembelajaran menjadi daring secara mendadak akibat wabah covid-19 yang melanda menyebabkan banyak siswa menjadi stres. Stres merupakan kondisi ketidakstabilan emosi yang berasal dari faktor lingkungan memiliki gejala seperti susah relaks, mudah marah dan gelisah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat stres selama pembelajaran daring pada siswa SMA di kota Payakumbuh dan kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota.  Penelitian ini menggunakan  metode kuantitatif deskriptif menggunakan instrumen pengumpulan data DASS-21 yang ditemukan oleh Lovibond dan Lovibond. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 siswa yang terdiri atas 75 perempuan dan 30 laki-laki yang berasal dari lima sekolah yang berbeda.  Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden memiliki gambaran stres yang berbeda, dimana sebagian besar responden (56%) dikategorikan normal, sedangkan sebagain kecil lainnya mengalami stres ringan (11%), stres sedang (15%), stres berat (8%) dan stres yang sangat berat (10%). Perbedaan yang ditunjukkan siswa dalam menghadapi pembelajaran daring dapat dipengaruhi banyak faktor seperti tipe kepribadian, lingkungan, jurusan sekolah dan masih banyak lagi. Kata Kunci : Covid-19, Pembelajaran Daring, Stres

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the existence of adolescents who are cared for by single parents who have poor communication with peers, feel inferior and often daydream, like to be alone and not open. The purpose of this study is to describe the adjustment of adolescents who are cared for by: 1) single mothers and 2) single fathers. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative type of research. The number of research informants was determined using a purposive sampling technique, amounting to 4 people, 2 teenagers from a single mother and 2 teenagers from a single father. Data collection techniques using interviews and data analysis techniques through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: 1) adolescents who were cared for by single mather parents felt inferior and jealous of friends who had whole families, and often compared them to their family conditions, and when they had problems they preferred to be alone and did not want to share with others. 2) Meanwhile, adolescents who are cared for by single father parents show that teenagers are still unable to solve problems with their peers, such as showing their anger if their desires are not fulfilled and prefer to leave the house if advised by their parents, and do not want to listen to other people's opinions. Keyword :Adjustment, Adolescent, Single Mother, Single Father ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya remaja yang di asuh oleh orangtua tidak utuh yang memiliki komunikasi kurang baik dengan teman sebaya, merasa minder dan sering melamun, suka menyendiri dan tidak terbuka. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan penyesuaian diri remaja yang di asuh oleh: 1) orangtua single mother dan 2) orangtua single father. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif tipe deskriptif. Jumlah informan penelitian ditetapkan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang berjumlah 4 orang, 2 remaja dari single mother dan 2 remaja dari single father. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan teknik analisis data melalui tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Remaja yang diasuh oleh orangtua single mather merasa minder dan cemburu terhadap teman yang memiliki keluarga  utuh, dan sering membandingkannya dengan keadaan keluarganya, dan ketika punya masalah lebih memilih menyendiri dan tidak mau berbagi dengan orang lain. 2)  Remaja yang diasuh oleh orangtua single father menunjukkan bahwa remaja masih belum mampu menyelesaikan masalah dengan teman sebaya seperti menunjukkan kemarahannya jika keinginannya tidak terpenuhi dan lebih memilih keluar rumah jika dinasehati oleh orangtua, serta tidak mau mendengarkan pendapat orang lain.  Kata Kunci : Penyesuaian diri, Remaja, Single Mother, Single Father

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi berprestasi  siswa sekolah menengah dan menguji perbedaan motivasi berprestasi siswa berdasarkan gender dan budaya. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa Sekolah Menengah Negeri (SMAN) 1 Sitiung yang berlatar belakang budaya Jawa dan Minangkabau; dengan sampel sebanyak 215 orang siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik  multistage  sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah “Skala Motivasi Berprestasi” dengan reliabilitas 0,88. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa motivasi berprestasi siswa dari kedua budaya tersebut tergolong tinggi, dan terdapat perbedaan motivasi berpretasi siswa antara siswa berlatar belakang budaya, di mana siswa yang berlatar budaya Jawa lebih tinggi motivasi berprestasi daripada siswa yang berlatar belakang budaya Minangkabau, dan terdapat perbedaan motivasi berprestasi berdasarkan gender.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The COVID-19 pandemic that is currently engulfing the world is very influential on the survival and activities of citizens around the world. The current phenomenon in Indonesia also closes and limits all mass-related activities, including online learning or learning from home. This study aims to describe effective learning information services and the importance of education during a pandemic using an approach to children. Study. This study uses a quantitative approach using a descriptive method. The subjects in this study were children who were still in elementary school in Dukuh Mundu, Gedongan Village, Plupuh District, Sragen Regency. The process of data collection using online questionnaires via google form. Data analysis used descriptive statistics with percentage techniques. The results showed that 80% of the material presented was accessible, 85% of the children were enthusiastic in providing information services and the approach used was very good.  Key Words : Covid 19 Pandemic, Information Service, Learning, Education  ABSTRAK Pandemi Covid19 yang sedang melanda dunia saat ini sangat berpengaruh bagi keberlangsungan hidup dan kegiatan warga di seluruh dunia. Fenomena yang sedang terjadi di indonesia saat ini juga menutup dan membatasi semua kegiatan yang menimbulkan kerumunan masa, termasuk pembelaajaran dilakukan juga secara online atau belajar dari rumah.  Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mendeskripsikan layanan informasi belajar efektif dan pentingnya pendidikan di masa pandemi dengan mengunakan pendekatan pada anak. Penelitian. ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan metode deskriptif. Adapun subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak-anak yang masih duduk di bangku Sekolah Dasar di Dukuh Mundu, Desa Gedongan, Kecamatan Plupuh, Kabupaten Sragen. Proses pengambilan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner secara online melalui google form. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 80% materi yang disampaikan dapat dipahami, 85% anak-anak antusias dalam proses pemberian layanan informasi dan pendekatan yang digunakan sangat bagus.Kata Kunci : Pandemi Covid 19, Layanan Informasi, Pembelajaran, Pendidikan

Abstract

This research was conducted from the factors inhibiting the implementation of the guidance and counseling program evaluation by teachers and guidance counseling. The research objective was to describe factors inhibiting the implementation of the guidance and counseling program evaluation by teachers guidance and counseling. This research is a quantitative descriptive. The population the guidance and counseling teachers amounting 89 people. Also 30 teachers there were chosen by random sampling cluster. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistic. The results of this study revealed that: 1) A total of 31.1% of teacher’s guidance and counseling  experiencing barriers to internal factor guidance and counseling program evaluation. 2) A total of 28.4% of teacher’s guidance and counseling experiencing barriers to external factors guidance and counseling program evaluation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the existence of students who are less able to interact with peers. The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of peer interaction of students in class XI High School PGRI 4 Padang seen from the following factors: 1) Imitation; 2) suggestion; 3) identification; 4) sympathy. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, the total population is 42 students and the whole sample is used as a research sample using the total sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics using percentage techniques. This study revealed that the peer interaction profile of students was seen from the following factors: 1) Imitation was in a good category; 2) suggestions are in a good category; 3) identification is in the very good category; 4) sympathy is in the very good category. Keywords: students, peer interaction,  imitation, suggestion, identification, sympathy ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya peserta didik yang kurang mampu dalam berinteraksi antar teman sebaya. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the presence of students who: truant, students who come late to school, students who are not well-dressed, students who fight in the school environment, students who damage school facilities. The purpose of this study was to describe the maladaptive behavior of students in class XI State Senior High School 7 Kerinci. This research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive method. The research population was 280 students with 165 samples selected by proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics of percentage classification techniques. The results of research on the maladaptive behavior of students in class XI State Senior High School 7 Kerinci are in the fairly high category. Keywords: Behavior, Maladaptive, Students.  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya peserta didik yan: membolos, peserta didik yang datang terlambat kesekolah, peserta didik yang tidak berpakaian rapi, peserta didik yang berkelahi di lingkungan sekolah, peserta didikyang merusak fasilitas sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku maladaptif peserta didik di kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 7 Kerinci. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah 280 peserta didik  dengan 165 sampel yang dipilih dengan teknik proposional random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif teknik klasifikasi persentase.  Hasil penelitian tentang perilaku maladaptif peserta didik di kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 7 Kerinci berada pada kategori cukup tinggi.   Kata Kunci : Perilaku, Maladaptif, Peserta Didik.
