Abstract

Gema Village, located in Simpang Dua District, Ketapang Regency, has significant potential in agriculture and plantation sectors but faces challenges in infrastructure quality control. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to strengthen the technical capacity of village officials and the community in conducting effective, transparent, and sustainable construction quality supervision. The implementation methods include quality policy socialization, case-based technical training, application of on-site quality checklist systems, direct mentoring during construction activities, and performance-based evaluation. The results indicate a notable improvement in technical knowledge (from 54.3% to 79.4%), ability to create quality checklists (from 35% to 85%), and participant satisfaction (92%). The Village Empowerment Institution (LPM) is now capable of performing independent and documented quality control. The study concludes that nonformal education-based approaches significantly enhance technical literacy and infrastructure governance in rural areas. It is recommended that similar programs be conducted periodically with cross-institutional collaboration to ensure sustainability and replication of the PKM model in other villages.

Abstract

The Community Service and Empowerment Lecture Program (KP2M) was implemented as a concrete form of providing real contributions to improving the economic welfare of the community, especially for the cleaning staff of the Al-Rifaie Modern Islamic Boarding School. This (KP2M) activity was implemented to provide practical skills-based entrepreneurship training, focusing on making simple food products such as chocolate rolled omelettes and mayo spring rolls. This training lasted for five days, using a participatory approach through lectures, interactive methods, direct demonstrations, and independent practice. The results of the Community Service and Empowerment Lecture Program (KP2M) showed that this training significantly improved the community through cooking skills, displayed community enthusiasm during the training, and showed a strong interest in starting a home business independently. This training also provides technical skills and has a positive psychological impact, increasing participants' confidence in building businesses. Challenges in this KP2M activity include limited equipment for direct demonstrations and a limited timeframe. Overall, the program has been effective in encouraging community economic empowerment, particularly for women of lower productive age. Therefore, it is recommended that supporting facilities be improved and the program extend for more optimal and sustainable results.

Abstract

Access to fresh and healthy vegetables in urban areas remains limited due to dependence on external supplies, leading to high costs and reduced product freshness. The Community Service Program (PkM) “Vegetable Bank” serves as a solution to empower households to produce small-scale, pesticide-free hydroponic vegetables, while simultaneously strengthening household economies through a collective marketing system. This activity was carried out in Gedog Wetan Village, Turen Subdistrict, Malang Regency, in June 2025, involving community health workers (Kader), youth organizations (Karang Taruna), and village officials as target partners. The implementation consisted of five main stages: survey and socialization, technical training, cultivation assistance, marketing simulation and financial recording, and final evaluation. The methods employed included hydroponic training, application of the marketing mix (4Ps), and training in basic financial recording. As a result, participants were able to produce high-quality vegetables, market their products both locally and online, and independently prepare financial reports. This program not only improved family skills and income, but also created a community-based local food resilience model that can be replicated
