Abstract

The sandwich generation, individuals transitioning between providing support for their elderly parents while still taking care of their own children, potentially face numerous challenges, both physically and emotionally. This phenomenon has garnered attention as the burdens on the sandwich generation increase, prompting this research to analyze how they navigate these dual roles and the psychological impact on their self-acceptance. The research aims to understand how the sandwich generation manages these dual roles and their implications for self-acceptance, taking into consideration psychological factors. To achieve this, the research utilizes a qualitative methodology based on in-depth interviews with participants selected based on specific criteria from this sandwich generation. The interview results indicate that the sandwich generation faces a heavy burden in balancing their dual roles, impacting their self-acceptance as they often feel inadequate in each role they undertake. However, there is a strong tendency for them to accept this condition as part of their responsibility, albeit with a high emotional burden. These findings underscore the need for a more sensitive and holistic approach in providing support to the sandwich generation.

Abstract

During the 21st century, technology has had a positive impact on education, both formal and non-formal, by facilitating access to information and making learning more interactive. One significant impact is on literacy, which now includes the ability to read, write, access, understand, evaluate, and use digital information, including through Google Scholar. Launched in 2004, Google Scholar makes it easy to find high-quality academic literature. This research aims to improve the literacy of STIT Madani Yogyakarta students using Google Scholar. The library method was used to collect related reading materials, with 9 selected articles as references. The strategies identified include: creating an organizational structure for clear guidelines and responsibilities, providing free internet on campus, and digital literacy socialization and training. This strategy is expected to improve students' digital literacy, facilitate access to academic resources, and develop the skills necessary for success in academic and professional environments.

Abstract

The public has the right to know information, transparency and accountability of regional financial management so that the presentation of financial reports can be accessed by various parties. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine whether transparency, accountability, community participation and the role of village officials have a positive effect on village financial management. The method used in this research is a quantitative method whose data comes from primary data in the form of questionnaires. The sample in this study were 380 people in Trawas District. The sampling technique used in this study used purposive sampling technique. The independent variables in this study are transparency (X1), accountability (X2), community participation (X3), and the role of village officials (X4). The dependent variable in this study is village financial management (Y). The data analysis that the authors use in this quantitative research uses statistics using IBM SPSS software version 25 The results of this study are the village financial management of Trawas Regency is positively and significantly influenced by transparency, accountability, community participation, and the role of village officials.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the organoleptic quality of pastel skins with mocaf flour substitution. The study took place at the Food Processing Laboratory of the Culinary Education Study Program at Jakarta State University from January 2024 to March 2024, using experimental methods. The study samples were pastel skins with mocaf flour substitutions at 20%, 30%, and 40%. The experimental method involved testing the organoleptic quality by 3 limited panelist using a 5-point hedonic scale. The organoleptic test results assessed by panelist showed that pastels with 40% mocaf flour substitution received the highest ratings for skin color, skin surface texture, crispness, thinness, aroma, skin flavor, and overall flavor, while pastels with 20% mocaf flour substitution received the highest ratings for content. Descriptive test of the organoleptic quality recommended pastel products with a 40% mocaf flour substitution.

Abstract

The "Jaga Warga" program in the Special Region of Yogyakarta is a policy of the Governor in an effort to foster community initiatives that aim to improve community security and welfare. This program mobilizes citizens to look after each other, provide assistance, and increase awareness of potential threats in the surrounding environment. The research aims to find out how the social impact of the policy, especially in strengthening solidarity among local communities. Through a qualitative research approach based on literature, a comprehensive and in-depth picture will be obtained, especially related to the social impact of the "Jaga Warga" program. The results show that the Jaga Warga program is able to encourage community participation to look after each other, provide assistance, and increase awareness of potential threats in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Syed Nashr is one of the leading intellectuals in the discourse on the relationship between science and religion, especially in the Islamic world. Examining Nashr's thought is a relevant and significant effort to better understand one important aspect of scientific development in the Islamic world in particular, and science in general in the West. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method by comparing books, journals, articles and others which reveal the meaning of science and religion and the relationship between the two according to Syed Nashr as one of the Muslim scientists who is aggressive towards science. From the analysis carried out by Syed Nashr, it is revealed that modern Western science is experiencing a spiritual crisis and is experiencing disease infection by secular modern thinking, therefore science needs an infusion or injection of Islamic values ​​with a divine dimension in religious revelation so that science and religion there can be a balance between the worldly and the spiritual and all of this must be based on the phrase ''Laa ilaa hailla Allah'' For the purpose of Nasr providing these thoughts to explore Nasr's thoughts regarding the definition of religion and science, as well as how these two disciplines can complement each other and be harmonious in the pursuit of truth.

Abstract

Mobile applications have become an integral part of everyday life. One example is Gojek, which is popular in Indonesia with a variety of services including online food ordering. Ordering food through this application offers comfort and convenience for users. To gain a deeper understanding of user responses and behavior in using this application, comprehensive research is needed. The method used in this research uses a quantitative approach. The results of this research are that User Satisfaction (KP) has an R-Square value of 0.699 and an Adjusted R-Square value of 0.666.  Then the User Experience (PP) variable has an R-Square value of 0.402 and an Adjusted R-Square value of 0.382. This means that the User Satisfaction (KP) variable contributes 69.9%, the remaining 30.1% is caused by variables that have not been studied. Furthermore, the User Experience (PP) variable contributed 40.2%, the remaining 59.8% was caused by variables that had not been studied.

Abstract

Sport is a physical activity needed by humans which has many purposes, such as maintaining body health, maintaining mental health (refreshing), achieving achievements, building character and other people (Wijaya, 2018). According to Kurt et al., (2023) swimming is a sport that can be used as a means of talent search, achievement, recreation, education, rehabilitation and self-preservation. Coaches, facilities and infrastructure, training programs, athlete development, government support and parents are some of the components that contribute to good performance. Sports achievements can be achieved through professional and quality sports training. In the sport of swimming, there are several events, namely events representing clubs, events representing regions at the provincial level, events representing regions at the national level, and events representing international national levels. The process of improving actions or techniques that have been carried out is known as evaluation. This research is motivated by the fact that there is still no research on the Mojokerto City swimming team in participating in the 2023 East Java Regional Swimming Championship. This research aims to cycle the Mojokerto City swimming team in participating in the 2023 East Java Regional Swimming Championship. The use of the SWOT method is important in analyzing and determining points earned. This method focuses on evaluating the Mojokerto City swimming team in participating in the 2023 Regional Swimming Championships which is expected to contribute to achievements for the City of Mojokerto in the future. To explain the evaluation results, the methodology used is qualitative descriptive research. The source of information comes from licensed swimming coaches. Data collection methods include interviews and documentation. Research findings include, (1) strengths include: the Mojokerto City swimming team is in young athletes and young coaches. If young athletes are coached properly, they will develop, while young coaches who are full of ideas, if given space or a platform, can express their aspirations. (2) Weaknesses include: no management questions, no atlhletes selection, no impressive Training Center (TC), no space or forum for young coaches to express their aspirations. (3) Opportunities include: the Mojokerto City swimming team has good opportunities for the future because this team is dominated by young athletes and young coaches. (4) Threats include: if the existing management is not immediately improved, the young athletes and young coaches, the Mojokerto City swimming team is threatened with not being able to get maximum results in future events.

Abstract

This study investigates the trend of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) among students at UIN SUSKA Riau. FOMO, defined as the anxiety that others might be having rewarding experiences from which one is absent, is increasingly common in the digital era, especially among university students who are frequent social media users. The research aims to explore the prevalence and effects of FOMO on students' academic performance, mental health, and social interactions. A mixed-methods approach was utilized, with data gathered from online surveys and in-depth interviews involving 300 students across various faculties. The results indicate that a significant portion of students experience moderate to high levels of FOMO, which is strongly associated with intensive social media usage. Students reported that FOMO adversely impacts their focus and academic performance, leading to procrastination and heightened stress levels. Furthermore, FOMO contributes to feelings of inadequacy and anxiety, as students often compare their lives to the idealized representations they encounter online. The study underscores the necessity for awareness and intervention programs to aid students in managing their social media usage and alleviating the negative impacts of FOMO. Addressing these concerns can help UIN SUSKA Riau cultivate a healthier and more supportive academic environment. This research adds to the growing body of literature on digital well-being and student mental health, highlighting the importance of balanced social media engagement.

Abstract

Assistance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) plays a crucial role in improving business and increasing market access for traders at the Urip Sumoharjo Culinary Tourism Center, Surabaya. This research aims to explore the impact of the MSME mentoring program carried out by students from the MSIB program of the Surabaya City Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade Service in strengthening business capacity, expanding markets, and improving the economic welfare of traders at SWK Urip Sumoharjo. Data collection techniques in this research involve direct observation and interviews in the field to identify obstacles and business conditions of traders in SWK Urip Sumoharjo, as well as literature studies to support the data obtained. The objects of this research include 20 SWK Urip Sumoharjo traders. Research findings show that mentoring which includes product management, finance, HR and digital marketing training significantly increases traders' businesses. Apart from that, the mentoring program has also succeeded in opening wider market access through the use of social media as a means to market the products of SWK Urip Sumoharjo traders.
