Abstract

Ilmu pengetahuan berkembang dengan cepat yang menuntut kaum intelektual terus mengikuti perkembangannya agar tidak stagnan dan tidak berpikiran status quo. Paradigma penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif juga berkembang dengan keunggulan dan kelemahan masing-masing. Peneliti punya keleluasaan memilih pendekatan yang paling sesuai dengan kebutuhan untuk memecahkan  permasalahan  penelitian. Pada penelitian kualitatif, seorang peneliti juga harus berbekal teori-teori dan metode yang kuat, salah satunya dengan metode etnografi. Etnografi menjadi dasar antropologi kultural. Teknik utama dari metode etnografi adalah observasi partisipatif yang dilakukan dalam waktu yang relatif lama serta wawancara mendalam yang dilakukan secara terbuka. Spradley sebagai tokoh pengembang etnografi yang relatif lebih moderat membedakan observasi partisipatif dalam empat model, yakni complete, active, moderate, passive, dan non- participation.  Teknik  ini berfungsi  agar  peneliti  benar-benar  bisa  memahami  pikiran, perilaku, dan kebudayaan sebuah masyarakat secara baik. Kunci agar peneliti bisa memahami masyarakat yang diteliti adalah dengan memahami bahasa lokalnya, karena bahasa lokalnya merupakan ekspresi kebudayaan mereka. Koleksi datanya yang terbaik adalah dengan membuat rekaman atau catatan etnografi secara rutin dan lengkap.Kata kunci: penelitian kualitatif, metodologi, etnografi, Spradley

Abstract

The high divorce rate encourages the Ministry of Religion to make various efforts to maintain family resilience. The Service Center Program of Sakinah Family or Program Pusat Layanan Keluarga Sakinah (Pusaka Sakinah) is one of the Ministry of Religion’s effort through the transformation of KUA’s role into a more significant in protecting Indonesian families from divorce. This article aims to get an overview of KUA's activities in implementing the Pusaka Sakinah program including the forms of innovation and initiative in pursuing program sustainability. The research method uses qualitative methode through case study type with the locus at KUA Kiaracondong representing program implementation in urban areas, and at KUA Cipeundeuy representing program implementation in rural areas. This study uses the theory of AGIL Structural Functionalism (Adaptation, Goal-attainment, Integration, Latency). This research results several findings: first, although the increasing role of KUA in facilitating the people to actualize sakinah family can be realized through the implementation of the Pusaka Sakinah program, efforts to maintain program sustainability are not an easy way due to KUA's high dependency on the institution in financing the program. Second, initiative and innovation are relatively limited because the concept of the Pusaka Sakinah program has not been understood and there has even been a misinterpretation on transforming KUA, causing disorientation, reduction, and even rejection of programs that are seen as burdensome to KUA. Third, the synergy of implementation program with similar programs carried out by other ministries and local governments is still low. In this regard, the Ministry of Religion needs to make efforts to increase the intended synergy which will also have a positive impact on the availability of resources in program implementation.

Abstract

Culture and local tradition, a representation of local knowledge or local wisdom serve as a means of cultural accommodation to maintain the harmonious environment situation, including social relationships of cross-religious life and even across cultures. One of the local wisdom values in community is the ritual Nyadran tradition. This study is intended to reveal how the Nyadran tradition can accommodate cross-religious relationships in the Kayen village, Jemangi- Boyolali. This research uses qualitative approach. The important research findings are that Nyadran tradition can be an expression of social piety through the practice of mutual cooperation, solidarity, and togetherness. Nyadran can be a medium of accommodation and building harmony among people, especially in plural and multicultural community. The tradition in Kayen village with its various procedures has been able to develop the primordial ties of its community in a group that share the same views and beliefs despite their different religions and beliefs.

Abstract

School of nature is a criticism of conventional school implementation through best practice that is different from schools in general. Some of these schools are based on religious values   or nuances. Recent development in the management model of nature schools is still not widely studied. This study aims at determining the implementation of curriculum management at this school of nature. This qualitative research uses a case study technique conducted at the Alam Insan Mulia School (SAIM) Surabaya. The results of study suggest that the SAIM curriculum is integrated with nature including: physical nature, contextual learning, and psychological realms. The implementation of its curriculum basically refers to the national curriculum but is done with fun learning. In Kindergarten level, it emphasizes learning through play; in elementary, the curriculum applies the pattern of integrated learning, joyful learning and cooperative learning. While in junior high school, it uses a national curriculum enriched with an international curriculum (Cambridge checkpoint and geographic learning) and senior high school follows a national curriculum enriched with an international-minded curriculum designed to develop an entrepreneurial spirit

Abstract

Indonesia  sebagai  negara  kepulauan  memiliki  banyak  wilayah  yang  berbatasan dengan negara lain. Tercatat ada sepuluh negara yang beradu perbatasan dengan Indonesia, baik perbatasan laut maupun perbatasan darat. Dalam pergaulan bilateral maupun multilateral banyak masalah yang terjadi antara Indonesia dengan negara- negara tersebut. Salah satu masalah penting yang harus memperoleh perhatian adalah konflik wilayah perbatasan yang dapat mengancam kedaulatan bangsa. Selain itu, ada kecenderungan penduduk perbatasan membandingkan kondisi hidupnya dengan kehidupan warga negara tetangga yang akhirnya menimbulkan keinginan untuk pindah kewarganegaraan. Oleh karena itu, perlu penanaman pentingnya nasionalisme bagi generasi muda, terutama yang berada di wilayah perbatasan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, tulisan ini menguraikan penanaman nasionalisme peserta didik SMA/MA/SMK di wilayah perbatasan di Kalimantan Barat melalui pendidikan agama dan sikap nasionalisme mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai nasionalisme yang terkandung dalam mata pelajaran tersebut adalah toleransi, demokrasi, HAM, persatuan dan kerukunan, serta Aku Cinta Indonesia. Sikap nasionalisme mereka juga dapat dilihat dari penggunaan bahasa, penggunaan produk ekonomi, kecintaan dan kesediaan berkorban, serta mengembangkan budaya bangsa. Kata kunci: nasionalisme, wilayah perbatasan, Kalimantan Barat, pendidikan agama, SMA/MA/SMK.

Abstract

Dalam beberapa  penelitian tentang kerukunan beragama di  kota Samarinda, selalu tergambar kota ini memiliki beberapa persoalan. Secara umum masyarakat memang terlihat hidup tenang dan damai, tetapi relasi antara penganut agama di grass root tidak akrab.  Hanya melebur saat ada acara-acara resmi yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah, tetapi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari cenderung berjarak satu sama lain.   Tulisan ini ingin menunjukkan, bahwa di tengah-tengah masyarakat yang hubungannya terlihat canggung, masih ada komunitas tertentu yang mempraktikkan kerukunan beragam secara tulus. Praktik semacam itu perlu dituliskan karena bisa menjadi energi positif bagi komunitas lainnya untuk membangun kerukunan beragama yang serupa.  Dengan metode penelitian kualitatif, peneliti menelusuri kehidupan dan relasi masyarakat beda agama di salah satu kelurahan di kota Samarinda.  Hasilnya, ditemukan fakta yang menarik,  ternyata masih ada komunitas tertentu di Samarinda yang mempraktikkan toleransi agama secara tulus. Masyarakat di kampung itu  tidak hanya rela bertetangga dengan orang yang berbeda agama, tetapi juga menyambutnya dengan mesra untuk menjadi bagian dari keluarga besar di kampung itu. Suatu kehidupan yang bisa menghormati perbedaan karena merasa perbedaan justru menjadi modal sosial mereka untuk membangun kampung halaman. Kehidupan yang tidak hanya harmonis, tapi saling menyapa dan tolong menolong antara pemeluk agama yang berbeda. Itulah praktik kerukunan beragama di kelurahan Lempake-Samarinda Utara, Kota Samarinda. Praktik kerukunan beragama ini boleh dikatakan sebentuk model Best Practice Toleransi yang masih berlangsung di tengah denyut kehidupan masyarakat Samarinda yang semakin berjarak satu sama lain.

Abstract

The phenomena of education in the recent time shows that teachers’ characters has only activated at class room and most of the academician emphasize on the cognitive rather than affection and moral aspect. However, there are many previous studies on the teachers’ characters. This research aims to explore the Islamic education teachers’ characters on the book Adabu al Alim wa al Muta’allim written by KH.Hasyim Asy’ari. This study uses a theory of big five personality. The result of this study shows that the teacher’s personality type in such book is dominantly characterized by conscientiousness, for instance the teacher must be diligent, tidy, responsible, persistent, obeying the rules and norms of religion and society. The essence of teacher’s personality in the book is that the teacher must have knowledge and apply it in their life as well as down to earth. In addition, the number of Sufis in the book represents the omission of egoistic behaviors.

Abstract

This research described the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the efforts of improving education quality of the school in Vocational School of Datuk Singaraja Kerso Kedung Jepara. The purpose of this research is to know how far the efforts of improving education quality of school through implantation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Vocational School of Datuk Singaraja Kerso Kedung Jepara. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The technique of analyzing data is descriptive analysis. The results of this research are; first, the school tries to complete students’, teachers’, and parents’ necessities and wishes; second, in creating the education quality school always gives response and take action of ideas and suggestions from all of side; third, the result of academic activities in Vocational School of Datuk Singaraja Kerso Kedung Jepara increase in the last 3 years, it is marked by students’ achievement in local and national level. Meanwhile the obstacles are; first, less synchronization of activity schedule from each domain; second, the centralistic financial system in institute; third, not all of the students live in dorm and Islamic dormitory that already prepared by the institute.

Abstract

Women’s organization within Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), Muslimat NU, sub-branch of Kedunggalar, has a role in strengthening women in all aspects of life. In developing human resources on religious education and strengthening national outlook, Muslimat NU routinely holds Pengajian Ahad Wage (Muslim recitals on Sunday). This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation; and analyzed through the process of of data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions.The findings of this study suggested that Pengajian Ahad Wage held by Muslimat NU Kedunggalar has various meanings, including rural sufism movement, social ethics of rural people, religious expressions of Islam Nusantara, national character building, and women's empowerment media. As a response of the rise of religious extremism movements, right or left wing extremists, it revitalizes friendly Islam through enhancing rural sufism and strengthening human values by placing religion as a social ethic based on al-ukhuwah diniyah, wathaniyah, and insaniyah on the principle of Aswaja an-Nahdliyah for national unity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan di komunitas adat kejawen di Desa Pekuncen Kabupaten Banyumas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, pengamatan, dan dokumentasi, Kajian penelitian ini mendeskripsikan ritual unggahan dan udunan yang bisa menjadi inspirasi dalam membangun atau menguatkan kerukunan umat beragama. Makna dari kegiatan unggahan atau sadran sebagai persiapan bagi para petani dalam menghadapi musim tanam padi, sedangkan kegiatan udunan sebagai tanda syukur dalam menghadapi musim panen padi. Makna lainnya yaitu kegiatan unggahan atau sadran dalam menghadapi bulan puasa Ramadhan, dan sebagai tanda selesainya adalah udunan. Kata kunci: Kejawen, Bonokeling, unggahan, udunan.
