Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the application of the Inquiry Learning model in integrated thematic learning based on several previous studies, which will be observed by how much is the improvements of student learning outcomes after the learning model is applied. This research is motived by the low student learning outcomes of the students in elementary school because of many teachers that still not applied an innovative learning model and the application of integrated thematic learning characteristics that are still not visible, teachers are still using the conventional teacher-centered learning models so that students are less active in the learning process. The inquiry learning model is the learning series activities which is  focused on the critical thinking and finding the answer by itself from the concerned problems. The method of this research is the study of literature or library research. By collecting 15 accredited journals that are relevant to the topic, then analyzed how great is the improvement of student learning outcomes after the Inquiry Learning method is applied. From the results of data analysis shows that the Inquiry Learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This article aims to express and describre increase skill of write poetry whit use picture mediation for the third class of 09 Bahagia Panti Elemtery School. This type of  research used Research Action Class (PTK) method whit aproach qualitative and quantitative. Research obyect is potry, data collection is done through observation, space note, documentation and work result of many kinds poetry. Data analysis was done from planing, execution, inspection, unitl reflection and conclude. This data reduction based on problem research, data ready, and conclude or verivication. The results showed that the use picture media can increase skill to write a poetry for the third class of 09 Bahagia Panti Elemtery School. Abstract

This reseach aimed to elicit the difference in learning outcomes of time measurement using CTL model and RME. This type of research is an experimental study using  quasi experimental design with the two group post-test only. The sample in this research consisted of two groups of  fifth grade students from VA and VB class from SDN 15 Ampang Gadang. The number of subjects included into this  research in 39 students consisting of 20 students from class VA as CTL model group and 19 students from class VB as RME model group based on purposive sampling technique. Based on the analysis,we obtained the average value of the CTL model group was 80.55 while the RME model group was 85.The calculation result was measured with the t-test and obtained tcount 20.53> ttable 2.02 at the level of α 0.05. It showed that there were differences in learning outcomes using CTL models and RME. From this research, we also concluded that the application of the RME model was better than CTL model in fifth grade student from SDN 15 Ampang Gadang..Keywords: The CTL Model, The RME Model, Learning outcomes of measuring time.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the lack of optimal planning and implementation of integrated thematic learning processes which include: 1) Teachers are not optimal in designing learning implementation plans, 2) Teachers do not use models in high class learning, 3) Teachers do not involve students in group learning, lack of sharpening student skills in making work and impacting student learning outcomes, 4) Teachers are more dominant in the learning process so learning becomes conventional and boring for students. The purpose of this study is to describe the Application of Project Based Learning Models to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Thematic Integrated Learning in Class V SDN 34 Simpang Haru, Padang City.This type of research is a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles, carried out in 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research technique is observation and test. This research data in the form of information about the implementation process obtained from the observation of lesson plans, teacher aspects, and aspects of students and learning outcomes. The subjects of the study were the 25th grade teachers and students of SDN 34 Simpang Haru.The results showed planning, implementation and learning outcomes have increased. The assessment shows that RPP I cycle 90.28%, 94.4% second cycle. The activities of teachers and students in cycle I 89.06% (B), cycle II 93.75% (SB). The attitude aspect increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2 ie students reflected the main values of religious character, independence and integrity. Knowledge aspects of the first cycle of Indonesian Language 70 (B-) and Natural Sciences 74.9 (B), the second cycle of Indonesian Language 89.28 (A) and Natural Sciences 81.96 (A-). Aspects of Indonesian Language Cycle I 68.8 (B-) and Natural Sciences 74.5 (B), Indonesian Cycle II 95 (A) and Natural Sciences 95 (A). Research by applying the project based learning model improves the thematic learning outcomes of students in grade V of elementary school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe learning outcomes of operations with approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in the class IV SD Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. The type of research conducted is classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of the study showed that the assesment of cycle one learning planning was eighty two point one percent and cycle two ninety two point nine percent. Assessment of the implementation of cycle one teacher activities is eighty point four percent and cycle two is ninety six point four percent. Assessment of the implementation of cycle one student activities is seventy five percent and cycle two is ninety six point four percent. Assessment of student learning outcomes cognitive aspects of cycle one average value is seventy two point seventy eight and cycle two is ninety two point twenty two. In the affective aspect of the cycle one the average value is seventy five point twenty and cycle two eighty three point thirty nine. Whereas for the psychomotor aspect of cycle one the average value is seventy four point eighty four and cycle two eighty seven point zero six. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the CTL approach can improve the learning outcomes of calculating the integer mixture of fourth grade students in the class IV SD Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP.

Abstract

The study in the background is that integrated thematic learning has not been appropriate. Hopefully, the aim of this study is to describe the progress of the process simultaneous thematic learning with the model problem based learning at country’s fourth grade elementary school 01 Tan Malaka Kota Padamg. His type of research is a class action study using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subject in this study is the teacher (researches) and student of 34. Research is conducted in two cycles. The results of cycle research on RPP meeting one earn a percentage value of 81,25% (B) increasing 90,63% (SB) at meeting two and increased 94,44% (SB) on cycle two. At teacher of the cycle release one earn a percentage value of  82,14% (B) increasing 89,28% (B) at meeting two and increasing 92,85% (SB) in cycle two. Whereas at the activities of student cycle one a percentage of 78,57% (C) increased 85,71% (B) at two and increased 92,85% (SB) at the cycle two.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the improvement of comprehension reading skill by using Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) strategy for fourth grade students of SD Negeri 28 Air Tawar Timur. Research subjects were teachers as observers, researchers, and fourth graders as many as 27 people consistingof 16 men and 11 women. In the first cycle, I obtained an averagescore of 60.6, an average reading rate of 75.0, and an average post-reading rate of 74.2. In cycle II the average value of prabaca 78.0, the average value of reading 84.3, and the average value of 85.1 post-reading. Thus reading comprehension with strategy (DRTA) can improve in class IV SD 28 Air Tawar Timur Kota Padang. Keywords: reading comprehension, directed reading thinking activity

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan proses pembelajaran tematik terpadu dengan model Pendekatan Scientific pada siswa kelas II SD Kartika 1-12 Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dan dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas dan 20 siswa kelas II SD Kartika 1-12 Padang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pada,  RPP siklus I 65,25% (C) dan siklus II 88,55% (B), Pelaksanaan pada aspek guru siklus I 66% (C) dan siklus II 91,3% (AB), Penilaian aspek siswa pada siklus I 65,8 (C) dan siklus II 90% (AB). Penilaian terhadap proses belajar siklus I 2,40 (B) dan siklus II 3,42(AB)   Kata Kunci : Tematik Terpadu, Pendekatan Scientific.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was improve the students achievement in learning social science make a Think Pair Share of 5 grade elementary school. Types of this   research   was   classroom   action   research   with   qualitative   and quantitative approach. Subject of this research were students of 5 grade were 22 people. Research conducted in two cycles with research procedure includes of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result of research was improve a) Lesson plan the cycles of I was 87,5% and the cycles II of 96% b) Implementation  teacher’s  activity  of  I  cycle  was  79,65% and  II  cycle  was 95,8% while implementation students activity of I cycle was 76,6% and II cycle was 96,1% c) the students learning outcomes in the I cycle was 74,01 and  II  cycle  was 84,7 It  can be concluded  that make a Think Pair Share can improve students achievement in learning social science of 5 grade at SDN 27 Anak Air Kota Padang. Keyword : Learning outcomes, Social science, Think Pair Share

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of the integrated thematic learning process using the Inquiry learning model in class IV SDN 09 Belakang Balok Kota Bukitinggi. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research subjects were teachers and 35 students. The results showed the value of planning the first cycle learning 81.94% and increasing the second cycle 94.44%. The observations of aspects of the first cycle teacher 81.25% and 96.87% increased the second cycle. The results of observations of aspects of students in the first cycle 79.68% and increase in the second cycle 93.75%. It can be concluded in the study that learning using Inquiry learning model can improve the learning process in elementary schools.
