Abstract

This research based on reality observed by writer at SDN 10 Surau Gadang, learning proses of PKn in fourth grade showed that student involvement was still low, where student lacked the courage to speaking to express their opinion, student lack of mutual help and coorperation and teacher also lack of using learning model that can stimulate student activity. There for researcher used learning model Cooperative Learning type Co Op Co Op to increase student learning outcomes. The objective of this research was to describe the increasing of student learning outcomes in PKn subject by using learning model Cooperative Learning type Co Op Co Op in fourth grade student. This research was class action research by using qualitative and quantitative approach, subjects of this research were fourth grade student of SDN 10 Surau Gadang and teacher of  fourth grade. Learning model used was Cooperative Learning type Co Op Co Op and consist of cycle I and cycle II. The data was obtained by observation and test. Result of this research showed that: a) cycle I planning, the average of meeting I with percentage 85% and meeting II was 92%, in cycle II increased to 96% and, b) implementation cycle I the average teacher factor in meeting I was 72%  and meeting II was 87% and increased in cycle II to 95% and student aspect cycle I the average of meeting I was 72% and meeting II was 85%  and increased in cycle II was 93%, c) student learning outcomes was obtained from three aspect cognitive, affective, psychomotor in cycle I was 68,17 and cycle II the average increased to 82,77. From this research we can conclude that by using learning model Cooperative Learning type Co Op Co Op can increased student learning outcomes in PKn at fourth grade SDN 10 Surau Gadang Kecamatan Nanggalo Kota Padang. Abstract

This reseach aims at finding out a significant difference of students cognitive learning outcomes of Natural Science subject between the Contextual and Conventional Learning. This quasi experiment applied the two group post-test only design. The samples were students of class VA and VB of SDN 09 Belakang Balok, Bukittinggi. 30 students of class VA acted as the experimental class, which was taught using the contextual learning. Meanwhile, 30 students of class VB acted as the control class that was taught using the conventional learning. They were selected using the simple random sampling technique. Based on the t-test of the students post-test scores, it was found that tcount 4,74> ttable 1,67155 α 0,05. It means the contextual learning isi better compared to the conventional one. Keywords: the contextual learning, the conventional learning, students cognitive learning outcomes of natural science subject.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the index card match type active learning strategy on student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning. This type of research is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The research was conducted in 02 Balai Nan Duo in Payakumbuh.  The sampling technique is simple random sampling, which is selected as the sample class is class IIIC as the experimental class and class IIIA as the control class. Sampling is using purporsive sampling technique. The instrument used to collecting  data in this research is objevtive test with multiple choice form. Based on the results of data analysis using t-test, obtained tcount = (2,92) > ttabel (1,69) at a significant level of 0.05. It means that tcount > ttable, so H1 is accepted. Thus, there is a significant effect of index card macth type active learning strategy on the learning outcomes of integrated thematic in class III of Elementary School.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the observation in the field that the IPS conducted by the teacher still predominantly use the lecture method, and not be concerned with improving all aspects of the study results IPS students have not as expected. Therefore, action is taken by using Mind Mapping techniques that the make students active and creative learning with the aim of improving the learning process so that IPS can improve learning outcomes in class V. Study, the Researchers did was action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle held two meetings with the four stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research data is in the form of information about the process and outcome measures in the Data Obtained from the observation and tests. The results Obtained by using the technique of Mind Mapping with two cycles Showed an increase of. The average assessment of learning design first cycle was 75% (quite) Increased in the second cycle to 94.6% (very good). Assessment of the implementation aspects of the teacher's first cycle was 76.3% (good) Increased in the second cycle to 88.8% (very good), and aspects of the students' first cycle was 73.8% (good) Increased in the second cycle to 93.8 % (very good). As well as student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 71.4 (average) Increased in the second cycle to 83.7 (good).
