Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type numbered head together on students’ learning outcomes on circumference and area of geometry at grade 4 of Elementary School II Luhak Nan Duo. This research is quantitative research with experimental method and Quasi Experiment Design, it used Non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The data were analyzed using t-test. The results showed that the the average of post-test in experiment class was 77.4 and 69.4 in control class. Analysis of t-test both in experiment and control classes  was obtained tcount = 3.302 and ttable = 2.011 at a significant level of 0.05. Hence tcount>ttable then Ha was accepted. Thus it can be concluded that cooperative learning model type of Numbered Head Together  had positive effect on the circumference and area of geometry at grade 4  in Elementary School II Luhak Nan Duo.

Abstract

This research was motivated by science learning that is still center on teacher, the learning process has not used teaching approaches that develop thinking skills and scientific attitudes. This research was a class action that aims to describe the planning, implementation and learning outcomes of student in  learning science by the approach of inqury in class IV SDN 02 Indarung. Research includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Subject were reseacher (practitioners) and students class IV of SDN 02 Indarung as many as 41 people. The result showed improvement of student learning  outcomes from average 71,43 with a good criterion in the first cycle and increase in the second cycle of 84,73 with the criteria very well. So, the inquiry approach can improve students learning outcomes in science learning in class IV SDN 02 Indarung.   Kata Kunci : hasil belajar siswa,  pembelajaran IPA,  pendekatan  inkuiri, sd

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools. The model that has been widely adopted to support the learning centered learning model and emphasizes the involvement of students in the active learning process as in the integrated thematic learning process is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. In integrated thematic learning students are directed at student-centered learning, students are actively searching, group-based learning, and using real-world problems as a context for students to learn about critical thinking and problem solving skills. This is in line with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. In this study researchers used a literature study (library research). First the researchers formulated the research problem, then proceeded to search for electronic journals via google schoolar. From the search, 15 relevant journals were analyzed for their role in integrated thematic learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The keywords used for journal research are Problem Based Learning, learning outcomes, elementary school. The analysis turned out to show that the Problem Based Learning model was able to improve student learning outcomes starting from the lowest 28% to the highest 93% with an average of 58%.

Abstract

The research was conducted as study of Math that teacher centered where the teacher was not giving the opportunity for the students to play a role during the learning process. The purpose of this study to implementof Math by using PMR. The aim of this research was to describe the plan, the implementation of the plan, and the students’ learning achievement of Math by using PMR. The result of the research indicated that from the first cycle to the second one, the score of the Lesson Plan improved from 77 into 93, the teacher’s aspect improved from 73 into 90 and the students’ aspect improved from 75 into 90. Further, the students’ learning achievement improved from 37,5 into 87,5 Thus, the use PMR could improve the students’ learning achievement.
