Abstract

Video games are a type of digital entertainment that has shown substantial growth in both complexity and cultural significance since its creation in the mid-20th century. This study use a qualitative methodology, specifically the content analysis technique, to investigate and examine narrative elements in video games as a subject of linguistic inquiry. This approach aligns with Klaus Krippendorff's theory presented in Content Analysis: An Introduction to Its Methodology (2004). Krippendorff's theory posits that content analysis enables researchers to interpret the significance of different forms of texts and media portrayals, such as dialogue and narration in video games. This research reveals that narrative assets in video games can be analyzed through various linguistic approaches, including pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and Appraisal System, to better understand how language in digital narratives creates complex experiences for players

Abstract

Background: Acute Decompensated Heart Failure (ADHF) is acute heart failure which is defined as a rapid onset of symptoms due to abnormal heart function. These dysfunctions include systolic and diastolic dysfunction, heart rhythm abnormalities, or preload and afterload imbalances. ADHF is a new attack without previous heart defects, or is decompensation of chronic heart failure (Chronic Heart Failure) that has been experienced previously. ADHF occurs when cardiac output cannot meet the body's metabolic needs. Objective: in this study, namely to determine the results of a literature review of the effect of therapeutic positions on hemodynamic status in ADHF patients. The method in this research is a literature review method using a literature search strategy through online media which includes searching on Google Scholar, PubMed, Research Gate, Elsevier, NCBI. Results: Based on the results of the literature review, all studies (4 studies) reviewed showed results of improvement in hemodynamic status, namely respiratory frequency, oxygen saturation (SaO2), blood pressure, heat rate, and CRT in ADHF patients who were given therapeutic position intervention: semi fowlershows increased oxygen saturation, decreased shortness of breath, stable blood pressure, hate rate, and respiratory rate. Conclusion: The therapeutic position, namely the semi fowler position, has an effect on improving the hemodynamic status of ADHF patients

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common causes of untimely death worldwide and can result in an increased risk of mortality if left untreated. The treatment of hypertension requires the implementation of long-term therapy, so that in an effort to manage its therapy requires adherence and compliance in carrying out treatment. Knowledge about hypertension is also very important to shape one's awareness and behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and compliance with taking medication in hypertensive patients. Observational research method with cross-sectional design using non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling approach. The research instrument used the Hypertension Knowledge Level Scale (HK-LS) questionnaire and the Probabilistic Medication Adherence Scale (ProMAS). Data analysis using Pearson correlation test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and medication adherence (p=0.003; r=0.320). Knowledge and compliance are very important in the treatment of hypertension to produce long-term blood pressure control effects and prevention of various complications that can be caused.

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya L.) as a bioinsecticide against stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans) and aims to identify the most effective concentration and solvent for killing these pests. Conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), the study utilized papaya leaf extracts obtained through maceration at concentrations of 10%, 15%, and 20%, with 96% ethanol and aquades as solvents. Phytochemical analysis confirmed the presence of beneficial compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, and saponins. The one-way ANOVA results revealed a significant impact of the ethanol-based extract on fly mortality, with a p-value of 0.00, while aquades showed no significant effect (p = 0.065). Notably, a 20% concentration of the ethanol extract achieved 100% mortality of stable flies within 50 minutes, indicating that papaya leaf extract is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly bioinsecticide, particularly when using ethanol as a solvent.

Abstract

The process of extracting active compounds from Moringa leaves requires efficient techniques so that active compounds can be isolated in high concentrations without damaging the chemical structure. The tool commonly used is a rotary evaporator. This research analyzes the percentage of solvent evaporation using a Rotavap Extractor and a conventional rotary evaporator. Both tools aim to maximize solvent evaporation by retaining active compounds from the extract. This research compares the effectiveness of the two tools based on the percentage of solvent evaporated and the viscosity of Moringa leaf extract with different time variations (40, 60, 80 minutes). The percentage of solvent that evaporates has an important role in determining the concentration and viscosity of Moringa leaf extract. As more solvent evaporates, the extract becomes more concentrated, increasing the viscosity due to the high concentration of active compounds. The percentage of solvent evaporated and viscosity show the same trend between the conventional rotary evaporator and the rotavap extractor, this indicates that both devices work with similar efficiency in evaporating solvent from Moringa leaf extract.
