Abstract

Tinospora cordifolia and Carica papaya in the production of traditional herbal medicines, specifically in formulations known as tinospora cordifolia and Carica papaya herbal mixtures. Extracts from Tinospora cordifolia stems and Carica papaya contain bioactive flavonoid antioxidants, which can inhibit phosphodiesterase enzymes that hydrolyze cAMP. Elevated cAMP concentrations can impede growth acceleration. This research aims to assess the teratogenic effects on the fetuses of white mice after administering tinospora cordifolia and carica papaya extracts. The study involved 25 Mus musculus divided into five groups. The first group, serving as the negative control, received 0.5% Na CMC, while the second group, serving as the positive control, was injected with intravenous Cyclophosphamide at 50 mg/kg. The other groups were administered various doses: ET Dose 1120, ECP Dose 1120, Dose 1 ETCP 2:1, Dose 2 ETCP 1:2, and Dose 3 ETCP 1:1. The extracts were given during the organogenesis period, and on the 18th day, the mice underwent laparotomy to collect the fetuses. The research findings indicate that tinospora cordifolia and carica papaya extracts can cause teratogenic effects, particularly at Dose 3 ETCP 1:1.

Abstract

Labor pain is caused by contractions of the uterus. Unanticipated labor pain can cause psychological and cardiovascular impacts, namely increased fear and anxiety, cardiac output, blood pressure, pulse and impact on the fetus, namely acidosis due to hypoxia. The rebozo technique is a non-pharmacological therapy to speed up the opening of the cervix of the birth mother by rhythmically shaking the pelvis using the rebozo. The gentle movements in the rebozo technique really help the birthing mother feel more comfortable, triggering the release of the hormone oxytocin and endorphin hormones, thereby facilitating the birthing process. This research was conducted by comparing labor pain before and after being given the rebozo technique (Pre-experimental Design with One GroupPretest-Posttest Design) to 13 mothers who met the inclusion criteria. The statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.001 so it can be concluded that after carrying out the rebozo technique for 5 -10 minutes in the first stage of labor it can relax the body, reduce anxiety levels, speed up the labor process, reduce the intensity of labor pain. The rebozo technique is an alternative that can make birthing mothers feel the direct participation carried out by midwives so that it can have positive psychological and clinical implications.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the usability of the child development website interface using the usability testing method. The evaluation was conducted by involving 20 participants consisting of parents and caregivers of children, who were asked to complete a series of tasks on the website. The assessment was carried out based on five main dimensions of usability: learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction. The results showed that the website had good learnability, with the majority of participants being able to understand the interface on first use. User satisfaction was also high, with an average score of 4 out of 5. However, some problems were found in terms of efficiency, especially related to navigation which sometimes required too many steps. In addition, the level of user error increased on more complex tasks, such as using child development aids, which required clearer instructions. These findings provide recommendations for improving the usability of the website, including simplifying navigation, providing more comprehensive guidance, and improving feedback from the system. Implementation of these improvements is expected to increase the effectiveness of the website in helping parents monitor their child's development more efficiently.
