Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method in improving work posture in industrial settings. Poor posture can lead to musculoskeletal disorders and reduced productivity. Using a quantitative approach, RULA was applied across several production departments, with data collected through direct field observation. The analysis shows that RULA significantly improved work posture, reduced discomfort, and lowered the risk of musculoskeletal injuries. The study supports RULA as an effective tool for posture improvement and recommends integrating regular ergonomic evaluations into work design.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer behavior related to the increase in rice prices after the 2024 election in Surakarta City. The increase in rice prices is often an important issue in the context of the household economy, especially for consumers in urban areas such as Surakarta. Data of this study was obtained by a survey method that includes a quantitative approach from a sample of households in various sub-districts in Surakarta City. Through the analysis of the data obtained, this study explores the impact of rising rice prices on consumption patterns, changes in household budgets, and adaptation strategies implemented by consumers. The study's conclusions demonstrate that consumer spending patterns are not considerably impacted by the rise in rice prices following the election. In addition, the economic impact of the increase in rice prices also causes changes in household budget allocations, where consumers tend to prioritize spending on other basic needs. This study provides insight into how changes in food prices affect the economic well-being of households and provides recommendations for policymakers to consider interventions that can mitigate the negative impact of food price fluctuations

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factor that cause market failure at Mantri Melon Farm Agritourism and identify effective market risk management efforts. Mantri Melon Farm, as an agritourism destination that relies on hydroponic melon production, faces significant challenges in maintaining its market share. Through a qualitative approach, data was collected from interviews with the owner Mantri Melon, farmers and Mantri Melon employees. This research was conducted in May-June at Mantri Melon Farm Agrotourism. The results show that the main factor of market failure is asymmetric information. Efforts to overcome this are suggested with empowerment through education and increased literacy to have more equal access to information related to relevant issues, so that they are better able to make the right decisions, improve product quality, and maintain good relations with the market. The implementation of these strategies is expected to minimize market risk and ensure the sustainability of Mantri Melon Farm's business.

Abstract

This research examines the automatic detection and classification of traffic signs using artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision technologies. As urban traffic increases, quickly and accurately recognizing traffic signs becomes a challenge, especially under adverse conditions such as bad weather and limited visibility. Conventional technologies that rely on human vision are prone to errors, so an automated solution is needed. This research uses the YOLOv9 algorithm for real-time traffic sign detection, utilizing the Generalized ELAN (GELAN) architecture that combines the advantages of CSPNet and ELAN for efficiency and accuracy. The dataset used consists of 1924 images processed through various stages, including data augmentation and normalization. The model was trained for 15 epochs with fairly high accuracy results in the prohibitory, danger, and mandatory sign categories. However, there were still some misclassifications, especially in the prohibitory category which was sometimes mistakenly detected as another category or background. Overall, the model performed well in detecting traffic signs in various environmental conditions, but still needs improvement to increase accuracy in certain cases.

Abstract

Problems with pending claims in hospitals are mostly caused by incomplete files and discrepancies in the accuracy of diagnosis codes. UNS Surakarta Hospital is known to find around 50-300 BPJS Inpatient claim files pending every month. This study aims to determine management in an effort to reduce the number of pending claims for inpatient BPJS patients in hospitals. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, with a cross sectional approach. The subjects of this research include claims coordinators, coders, internal verification officers and medical committee members (doctors). The research object is the claim file for Trimonths 4 of 2023. The instruments used are interview guidelines, observation guidelines, checklists. The research results showed that of the 2289 claim files submitted, 168 files (7.34%) were pending, which were divided into 3 factor classifications, namely Medical Aspects 62 files (36.90%), Administrative Aspects 57 files (33.93%) and Coding Aspect 49 files (29.17%). The process of handling pending claims based on planning, organizing, actuating and controlling aspects is still not running optimally. This is caused by the lack of clear division of job descriptions and the absence of SOPs related to handling pending claims which are only manifested in official notes, in general evaluations are still carried out based on cases but not based on users which causes there to be no rewards and punishments for officers who do not comply. It would be better for hospitals to prepare SOPs for filling out BPJS claim requirements files, and make clear job desk divisions, especially the BPJS coding section, and implement Inpatient RME immediately.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by increased blood sugar levels due to interference with insulin production or decreased sensitivity of insulin receptors in the body. Diabetes itself cannot be cured so it requires intensive treatment, especially proper self-care to support the patient's life. The aim of this study was to determine the factors that influence the self-caring of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients undergoing outpatient care at Dr. RSUD. Moewardi Surakarta. This research was carried out observationally with a cross-sectional design. Self-care measurement uses the Diabetes Self-care Management Questionnaire (DSMQ) instrument. The results of this study show that of the 167 responses involved, 131 respondents (78.4%) had good self-care and 36 respondents (21.6%) had poor self-care. Data analysis using chi-square showed that age, gender, education, marital status, employment and duration of DM had no effect on the patient's self-care (p>0.05).
