Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role in the economic growth of a country. The contribution of MSMEs to Indonesia's GDP experienced a depression due to the emergence of Covid-19 at the beginning of 2020. However, two years after the government declared pandemic for Indonesia, the performance of MSMEs has begun to recover from its downturn. This is shown by the increase in the contribution of MSMEs to Indonesia's GDP and employment in Indonesia. Moreover, the performance of MSMEs in Bandar Lampung City has also experienced an improvement as shown by an increase in MSME profits. This research aims to analyze the influence of knowledge management and entrepreneurial orientation on business performance in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as well as the mediating effect of competitive advantage in this relationship. This research uses a quantitative approach to draw conclusions from the proposed hypothesis. Sample was selected using the census method so that the total sample was 44 respondents who were SMEs registered in Dinas Koperasi dan UKM Kota Bandar Lampung. Data collection method uses a questionnaire and the data is analyzed using SEM-PLS with the bootstrap method. The results show that knowledge management, entrepreneurial orientation, and competitive advantage have a direct and significant influence on business performance. Furthermore, competitive advantage was also found to play a mediating role in the relationship between knowledge management and entrepreneurial orientation on business performance.

Abstract

Legal news has a crucial role in providing information and understanding to the public about ongoing legal cases. However, often the news can be affected by certain biases or viewpoints, which can affect the objectivity of the news narrative. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of journalistic language in building balanced legal news narratives, by considering aspects of objectivity and equality of information. The research method in this study is qualitative. The data collection technique was carried out by literature study obtained from Google Schoolar and legal news articles published in the 2020-2023 period in various trusted mass media. The data that has been collected will be analyzed qualitatively using content analysis techniques. The results showed that a balanced legal news narrative must meet specific criteria, including prioritizing fairness, accuracy, and neutrality in the delivery of information. Democratic journalistic language avoids differences in level or rank in the use of language and prioritizes active sentences to be more easily understood by readers. In addition, journalistic language must also adhere to standard language rules and ethics to reflect honesty, sincerity and respect for individual privacy. By adhering to these criteria, legal news narratives can be considered balanced, able to provide a comprehensive picture, and respect the interests of society as a whole.

Financial literacy is only one of many aspects that have a role in the choice of investments to make. This study investigates how knowledge of behavioral finance might influence investing choices for those with a basic understanding of personal finance. In this study, we used a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. This finding demonstrates that financial knowledge has a role in moderating undesirable actions. Similarly, investment choices benefit from both financial knowledge and behavioral finance as a mediator. Market momentum may be gained if individual investors engage in behavior that can be managed via careful preparation and the use of sound financial principles. Which aids in maximizing profit, improving investment and portfolio performance, minimizing risk, making more informed investment decisions, and coming up with effective trading methods.
