Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine differences in student learning outcomes based on science process skills with the problem based learning model seen from student learning outcomes at Keruak 1 Middle School, East Lombok Regency. This type of research is quasi-experimental, taking samples using purposive sampling. The sample for this research was 43 male students from class VIII. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, documentation and tests. The research instrument used questionnaires and written tests. The results of this research include: 1) science learning using a problem based learning model based on science process skills makes teaching and learning activities more enjoyable; 2) the highest category of student learning outcomes is found in the skills aspect; and 3) students can develop their potential to be more active in learning about the respiratory system material. The problem based learning model is able to provide opportunities for students to be able to solve a problem in a project through real experience. However, there are still some aspects that are low, such as the attitude aspect, where students are just getting to know this learning model. More varied learning will be useful in improving students' skills through problem based learning models based on science process skills or other learning models according to the subject matter.

Abstract

Birds are wild animals that live in nature and have an important role in preserving the environment, for example as pest controllers, seed dispersers, and as pollinators. Lovebirds are animals from the aves group. This bird reproduces by oviparous or laying eggs. Eight of these bird species originate from the African continent, while the grey-headed lovebird species originates from the island of Madagascar. This bird is about 13-17 cm long, weighs 40-60 grams, and has a friendly nature. Lovebirds are the smallest birds from the parrot family. Lovebirds have compact bodies, short, blunt-tipped tails, and sharp beaks. Wild lovebirds are predominantly green with various colors on the upper body, depending on the species. There are many species of chirping birds/lovebirds. Each of them has their own unique sound and has their own strengths and weaknesses. There are some of them who sing (Agapornis fischeri) for a long time without stopping. There are also those who only make a slight, intermittent sound. Likewise, if you look at their physical appearance and color, each bird has its own unique color, most of them have beautiful and beautiful colors.

Abstract

Corn plant growth is influenced not only by internal factors (genetic factors), but also by external factors. Climatic factors play a role in determining the growth and development of corn plants, including: water conditions, air temperature, air humidity, and CO2. In general, it can be said that the rate of plant growth increases with increasing temperature until the optimum temperature is reached. Corn has the same growth pattern, but the time interval between growth stages and the number of leaves that develop are different. Corn growth can be grouped into three stages, including: 1) germination phase; 2) vegetative growth phase; and 3) reproductive phase. This research aims to find out: 1) how much influence climate factors have on the growth and development of corn plants; and 2) corn plant growth patterns. This type of research was experimental with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with a single treatment factor, namely planting level C1 = 3 WAP, C2 = 4 WAP, C3 = 5 WAP, C4 = 6 WAP, and C5 = 7 WAP, which was repeated as many times as three repetitions. The data obtained was analyzed using Analysis of Variance and if there was a significant difference, it was continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test at a confidence level of 95%. The conclusions obtained are: 1) good plant growth supported by appropriate genetic and climatic factors will increase biomass weight, 2) the plant growth rate shows exponential growth, and 3) at the beginning of growth assimilate is mostly used for vegetative growth, but entering The assimilate generative vase will experience a transition to a stronger sink part, namely flower formation.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an ecology practical manual on biodiversity material. The type of research used in this research is development research. Research into the development of ecological practicum instructions uses the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), but in Indonesian terms it has been adapted to become the 4P model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). In this development research, the researcher only reached the development stage (3P model) which was validated by three expert validators (suitability of content, language and graphic design) as well as a readability test by students. The instrument used in this research is in the form of a validation sheet which was given to three expert validators to be corrected so that the teaching materials created were suitable for use or not. Meanwhile, the readability test was tested on 15 students, the results of which were used to assess whether the practical instructions were suitable for use or not. Based on the research results, it was found that the validation value from content suitability experts was 88%, the validation value from language experts was 83%, and the validation value from graphic design experts was 82%. So the average value of the three expert teams is 84% with the conclusion that it does not need to be revised. Meanwhile, the readability test by 15 students with an average score of 3.92 is suitable for use without revision. Therefore, the teaching materials in the form of practical manuals that have been developed are suitable for use as a guide without revision.
