Abstract

Osteoarthritis is a disorder of the aging process. One of the risk factors for osteoarthritis is obesity orexcessive body mass index (BMI). Weight loss in people with osteoarthritis can be done by doing exercises.Objective To determine the effectiveness of osteoarthritis exercise in stabilizing body mass index inosteoarthritis sufferers. This type of quantitative research uses a pre-experimental design one-group pretestposttest design. Research Sites in the Village of Makam Haji Sukoharjo, Central Java Province, Indonesia,were conducted from January to February 2020 with 32 respondents, using the purposive sampling method.The inclusion criteria were 20-60 years old, did not experience pain attacks, the patient did not have otherdiseases. The calculation of BMI uses measurements of weight and height. Analyzed using Paired T-Test. Theresults were obtained at the pretest BMI the majority were overweight as much as 24 (75%), at the posttestthe majority BMI was normal as much as 28 (87.5%), the results of the paired sample test with a P-value of0.001. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving osteoarthritis exercise on body mass index. The average BMIafter exercise is normal.

Abstract

The quality of nursing services is strongly supported by the application of caring culture as the core ofnursing practice. Caring based training is an effort to improve knowledge and skills with a caring attitude ofa nurse to apply it in work activities. This study aims to determine the effect of caring based training nurseson patient satisfaction in nursing services in community health centers Tulehu and Waai Maluku Tengah. Theresearch method is quasi experiment pre test-post control group design test by giving caring based trainingintervention to nurse. The study respondents amounted to 120 patients consisting of intervention and controlgroup. The research instrument is a patient satisfaction questionnaire developed by the researcher. Dataanalysis used chi-square test and binary logistic regression analysis. Binary logistic regression analysisresults showed that there was a caring based treaning effect on patient satisfaction with 37.2 timesestimation. Factors that can be used to predict patient satisfaction are caring based training of nursescontrolled by age, sex and occupation (p value 0.000, 0.118, 0.213, 0.000). It is important to improve caringbehavior in public health centers in daily service activities, with a continuous coaching process to helpdevelop nurse behavior, attitude and skills

Abstract

Background: The current condition, namely the New Normal Era during the COVID-19 pandemic, requirespeople to follow the COVID-19 protocol according to the appeal from the government. The externalities ofCOVID-19 greatly impact psychological problems (anxiety) in vulnerable communities. Therefore, thefamily has the duty of Health in maintaining the health of comorbid family members. Efforts that can bedone are to make preventive efforts in families with comorbid diseases as a risk factor for death due toCOVID-19. Purpose: This study was to describe the level of anxiety of the comorbid family in GrendengVillage, North Purwokerto. Methods: This research is an observational study with a cross sectionalapproach. The sample of this study was 200 heads of families with comorbid diseases in Grendeng Village,North Purwokerto which were selected by total sampling. The implementation of health tasks is measuredusing an instrument. Anxiety was measured using the modified HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scales).Data analysis using non-parametric Spearman. Results: the survey results showed that the variable level ofmild anxiety was 50%, 39.5% of comorbid families had no anxiety, and 10.5% of families with moderateanxiety level, and none had severe or very severe anxiety. Conclusion: comorbid families in the GrendengVillage area need to apply the Covid19 protocol well even though they are able to control the anxiety rate.

Abstract

In Indonesia, diarrhea still becomes a significant health problem with a high number which causesExtraordinary Events (KLB). Diarrhea cases in Bojonegoro Regency constitute as the fourth leading causeof infant death with 26.237 cases. One of the factors causing diarrhea is the mother's education level andexclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to discover whether there is a relationship between the educationlevel and exclusive breastfeeding with diarrhea incidence of infants in Tinumpuk Village, BojonegoroRegency. This research type was observational with a cross-sectional research design and a quantitativeapproach. The writer conducted interviews using an instrument questionnaire distributed door to door inevery house in Tinumpuk Village. Finally, this study indicated the mother's education level with a p-value(0.000) <0.05 and exclusive breastfeeding with a p-value of 0.038 <0.05. This result revealed therelationship between the education level and exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of diarrhea ininfants.

Abstract

Applying the principle of six correct administration of drugs by nurses is one of the preventiveimplementations of patient safety. It can guarantee the safety of treatment for patients, reduce medicationerrors, and avoid giving the wrong medication to patients in the hospital. This study aimed to explore theprinciple of six correct drug administration implementation by nurses in the hospital. A descriptive methodapproach was used. This study was conducted in two general hospitals in Jember and followed by 75 inpatientward nurses through the total sampling technique. The results of this study showed that the modus value ofthe implementation of the six-correct principles is 125, the data position is in the middle position of thedispersion, which means the implementation of the principle of six correct by nurse approaching themaximum value. The data also showed that the nurses still did not entirely implement the principle of sixcorrect in drug administration. Nurse managers can enhance the implementation of the principle of six bynurses through supervision activities. In addition, it is necessary to have an evaluation conducted by thehospital patient safety commission on the implementation of the principle of six correct drug administrationsby inpatient ward nurses

Abstract

Patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) are at risk of experiencing recurrences or recurring attacks. One ofthe actions that nurses can take to prevent recurring attacks is health education. Assessment of the patient'slearning needs is an essential stage in the health education process. The purpose of this study was to determinethe learning needs of CHD patients based on the perceptions of patients and nurses. This research is aquantitative descriptive. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling. The number of respondents was71 people, consisting of 55 CHD patients and 16 heart nurses. Data analysis in the form of mean andpercentage. The mann whitney test was used to see the difference in perception of learning needs of CHDpatients and nurses. Collecting data using the Cardiac Patients Learning Needs Inventory (CPLNI)questionnaire. The highest learning need for CHD patients was based on the patient's perception is the learningneed for miscellaneous aspects with a mean value of 3.91 ± 0.61. Meanwhile, based on the nurse's perception isthe learning need for drug information with a mean value of 4.46 ± 0.42.

Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder in children which is characterized by poorsocial communication, persistent social interaction, and repetitive patterns of behavior and activities. It isvery important to be trained to be independent in carrying out daily activities including toilet training.Toilet training is one of the developmental tasks that need to be achieved by every child and requiresattention from parents in training the ability to urinate and defecate. The purpose of this study was toidentify and explore in depth the implementation of toilet training for children with autism spectrumdisorders through family support. The research design used is quantitative and qualitative researchmethods (mixed methods). The quantitative sampling technique used a total sampling of 50 parents whohad ASD children. In the process of collecting qualitative data, it was carried out through an in-depthinterview process to 5 participants. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and interviewguidelines. The data were analyzed using the Collaizi approach. The results show that family support hadan average value of 76.64 (95% CI 73.72-79.56) with the lowest value 54 and the highest 98. The results ofthe interview obtained 7 themes, namely the importance of being taught toilet training, a sign of the child'sdesire when BAK /CHAPTER, readiness of children to be trained, readiness of parents, toilet trainingprocess, family attention, and feelings of parents when children are trained. With the right family support,the implementation of toilet training can run well.

Abstract

Tembakau dalam rokok termasuk obat legal yang dapat menyebabkan kematian bagi yang mengonsumsinya.Sampai saat ini merokok dapat menyebapkan berbagai komplikasi yang berdampak pada kesehatan sepertikanker dan penyakit jantung. Teori perilaku seperti halnya TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior) merupakan salahsatu teori keperawatan berbasis perilaku yang memungkinkan terjadinya perubahan perilaku untukmeminimalkan dampak dari merokok. Dan sampai saat ini belum ada instrumen terstandar yang mengukurperilaku merokok seseorang aplikasi dari TPB. Oleh krena itu, studi ini akan mengembangkan instrumenperilaku merokok model TPB. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non eksperimen secara cross sectionalmelalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas yang dilakukan dalam 4 tahap : review literature, pengembangan instrumen,Content Validity Indeks dan Internal consistency reliability. Uji reliabilitas dilakukan pada 93 resonden yangdiambil secara accidental sampling dengan kriteria pria perokok usia 15 s.d 60 tahun, tidak ada riwayatpenyakit kerena rokok, bersedia menjadi partisipan serta mampu membaca dan menulis. Analisis Internalconsistency reliability melalui nilai Cronbach’s Alpha. Hasil penelitian bahwa sebanyak 40 item instrumenyang telah dikembangkan, dengan rata-rata nilai I-CVI dari 4 orang pakar adalah 0.75-1.0. Sedangkan nilaiCronbach’s Alpha rata-rata mencapai 0.870. Instrumen perilaku merokok yang mengukur komponen TPB yangtelah dikembangkan adalah valid dan reliabel.

Abstract

Introduction: Social media is essential during Covid-19 outbreak to deliver tele-diabetes care continuously.Aim: This study investigated the effectivity of Dia-Care Telemonitoring using WhatsApp on diabetes outcomessuch as psychological distress, blood glucose level, and diabetes knowledge. Method: Randomized ControlTrial was conducted on type 2 diabetes patients in Kebon Jeruk and Kalideres Primary Care. In a 1-monthintervention, patients (n=72) were randomized to control and intervention group. All outcomes such as FastingBlood Glucose, Diabetes Knowledge Test, and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale were collected at baseline andafter 1-month intervention. Result: 30 patients completed the study (15 control group, 15 intervention group).Both control and intervention group significantly improved the diabetes knowledge and fasting blood after 1-month follow-up. Only intervention group significantly improved depression (mean= 2.47, SD= 1.59, p= 0.04).Conclusion: Dia-Care Telemonitoring using WhatsApp improved diabetes knowledge, fasting blood glucoseand depression level.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a problem that can cause short-term complications, one of them is hypoglycemia.Hypoglycemia is a complicating factor for achieving normal blood glucose levels. To avoid the complicationsof good hypoglycemia, adequate knowledge is needed so that sufferers can prevent complications. This studyanalyzed the correlation between characteristics of patients with diabetes mellitus through knowledge abouthypoglycemia at Cempaka Inpatient Community Health Center with cross sectional approach. The samplingtechnique was consecutive sampling with a total sampling of 64 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Data wereanalyzed by using Chi Square test. The results also showed that most patients with diabetes mellitus associatedwith knowledge about age hypoglycemia (p-value = 0.017), length of suffering (p-value = 0.020), education (pvalue = 0.042), and those not related to sex (p-value = 0.149), and occupation (p-value = 0.380).Characteristics of diabetes mellitus patients become a support for knowledge about hypoglycemia because ofthese characteristics are expected to achieve an understanding of the actions to be taken in an effort to improvethe complications of hypoglycemia
