Abstract

This research aims to determine the appropriate sugar concentration on the chemical and organoleptic properties of galoba fruit juice. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design with four treatment levels of sugar concentration, namely 9%, 11%, 13%, and 15%. The study found that adding 13% sugar concentration was the best method for producing galoba fruit juice, which had the following properties: pH of 3.68, total dissolved solid of 23.53°Brix, total acid of 16.33, vitamin C content of 0,029 mg/100 g, and organoleptic characteristics with the hedonic quality test include slightly cloudy white color, galoba taste, slightly galoba aroma, slightly clear appearance, and overall thethe panelists like the hedonic test variables

Abstract

Forest management will fail if various parties do not participate. Community participation is one of the important things that must be considered in forest management. This study aims to determine the forms of community participation in customary forest management after the issuance of social forestry permits. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. To find out the forms of participation can be seen in the five forms of participation, namely the participation of ideas, energy, property, skills and proficiency, and social participation. The results of the study show that the forms of community participation in customary forest management after the approval of social forestry permits are in the form of thought participation, labor participation and social participation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between feed consumption and growth and feed conversion of broilers in the PT Mitra Sinar Jaya partnership. The research material is the broiler strain CP-707 which is kept in open house cages with a population of 6,500 in the 4 cages and commercial feed S10, S11, and S12. This panel research was carried out for 35 days and reared broilers at PT Mitra Sinar Jaya partnership breeders in Seri Village, Nusaniwe District, Ambon City. The method used in this research is survey and observation (direct observation in the field) to collect data related to the performance of the CP-707 broiler strain. The variables observed in this research were feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The data obtained was analyzed using a simple linear regression method. The research results showed a relationship between feed consumption and body weight gain and feed conversion ratio (FCR) with R2 values ​​of 0.9802 and 0.0228 respectively, with an average feed consumption of 514.13 g/head, UN of 311 .04 g/head, and an FCR value of 1.65.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate how green manure applied with Chromolaena odorata and Gliricidia sepium leaves, along with NPK compound fertilizer (phonska), affects the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata L.). Conducted in Telaga Kodok, Central Maluku, from September to November 2022, the experiment utilized factorial design with varying doses of green manure (0, 10, and 20 tons per hectare) and phonska fertilizer (0%, 50%, and 100% of the recommended dose). Observed parameters included plant height, leaf count, leaf area, leaf area index, cob length, cob weight with husk, cob weight without husk, and cob diameter. The results of the ANOVA analysis indicate that both factors and their interaction significantly influence sweet corn's growth and yield parameters. It is recommended to apply 20 tons of green manure per hectare and 100% phonska dose to achieve optimal results, considering parameters such as plant height, leaf count, leaf area, cob length, cob weight with and without husk, and cob diameter. By enhancing sweet corn productivity, supporting food security, and promoting sustainable agricultural sector growth, this research significantly contributes to optimizing the use of organic and inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

Indonesia has many types of nuts with various colors, varieties, and shapes, which have great potential to add variety and nutrition to different patisserie products. One of them is red beans (Phaseolus Vulgaris L), which is a type of legume that has the highest carbohydrate content, protein content equivalent to green beans, much lower fat content than soybeans and peanuts and is also often used as an ingredient in making jam. This research aims to determine the appropriate sugar concentration on the organoleptic characteristics of red bean butter. The research was designed using a single factor. A completely randomized design with additional sugar concentration treatment consisting of 3 treatment levels of 30, 40, and 50%. The research results show that the addition of 50% sugar concentration is the best concentration based on the results of organoleptic tests, which include hedonic tests, like color (2.64), like taste (3.04), like texture (3.24), like aroma (3.24), Overall like is close to very like (3.64). Hedonic quality test for chocolate color (3.08), red bean aroma (3.36), soft texture (3.28), and red bean taste (3.24).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical quality of rice straw silage with the addition of different doses of EM4. The research was conducted at the Feed Engineering Technology Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Department, Pattimura University for 21 days. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications, namely P0= rice straw + 0% EM4 P1= rice straw + 0.5% EM4 P2= rice straw + 1% EM4 P3= rice straw + 1.5% EM4. The variables observed were texture, color, aroma, pH, and presence or absence of mold. The results of the research showed that each treatment with additional doses of EM4 obtained good results regarding texture, color, aroma, pH, and the presence or absence of mold. The higher the dose of EM4 given, the lower the acidity (pH) value. The addition of EM4 as much as 1.5%, in this study aims to determine the physical quality of rice straw silage with the addition of EM4 giving the best results on the physical quality of rice straw silage, namely soft texture, good color (yellowish green), sour aroma, pH 4.2 and there is no fungus at all.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the ability to detect lust and determine the correct mating time by farmer-breeder respondents in East Taniwel District, West Seram Regency. The research method is a survey method and the sample villages and respondents are determined based on the purposive sampling method. The variables observed consisted of: the ability to detect lust, determining the time of mating after parturition and maternal productivity (including; age at first marriage, pregnancy rate, birth rate, postpartum mating and pre-weaning child deaths. The results showed that 86.66% of respondents were farmer farmers in East Taniwel District has the knowledge, ability and skills in detecting postpartum heat in the medium category (able to name 2-3 categories) and 100% do not have the knowledge and ability in determining the right mating time after parturition. The potential productivity of Bali cows is age first mating 18.2 ± 1.16, pregnancy rate 88.01%, birth rate 98.85%, postpartum mating 4.8 ± 0.8, and pre-weaning mortality 8.90%.

Abstract

This study aims to characterise the organoleptic properties of yoghurt based on the treatment of skim milk and canarium milk ratio. This study used a completely randomised design (CRD) with the treatment of skimmed milk and canarium milk ratio of 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, 0:100. The parameters analysed were organoleptic tests including (taste, aroma, consistency, viscosity) analysed statistically. The results showed that the yoghurt tasted sour to slightly sour, flavoured sour to slightly sour, homogeneous to slightly homogeneous consistency and thick to slightly thick viscosity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan yaitu untuk menentukan konsentrasi puree daging buah pala yang tepat untuk menghasilkan nugget tempe terbaik berdasarkan karakteristik organoleptik. Penelitian ini menggunakan RAL satu faktor terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan konsentrasi puree daging buah pala 0%, 1,5%, 3%, dan 4,5%. Parameter yang diamati yaitu karakteristik organoleptik (warna, aroma, tekstur, rasa dan overall). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa konsentrasi puree daging buah pala 4,5% merupakan perlakuan terbaik nugget tempe dengan karakteristik organoleptik disukai panelis dari segi warna, aroma (mendekati agak beraroma pala), tekstur (agak kenyal), rasa (mendekati agak berasa pala), dan overall.

Abstract

The research aims to determine strengths and weaknesses (internal factors) and opportunities and threats (external factors) for the CV. Breaven company, the research was conducted at the CV. Breaven company located at Jln. Waiyari Dalam RT 40 Negeri Suli, using descriptive and qualitative analysis methods. The analytical tools that support qualitative research are IFAS analysis and EFAS; the results showed that the company is in the position of cell I growth; the combined value of IFAS is 3.70, and the EFAS value is 3.20.
