Abstract

Active social media users in Indonesia have increased in 2022. Consequently, several companies, including Vidio, are leveraging to use social media as a tool for their marketing activities, specifically to influence customers' intention to buy their products. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media marketing on customer’s purchase intentions through Customer Equity Drivers and Customer Inspiration as a mediating variable on the Vidio Brand as a Video Streaming Platform. The data was collected from 200 respondents who had not previously purchased a product from Vidio. The data was analyzed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The Findings show that social media marketing activities have significantly influenced all drivers of customer equity and customer inspiration. But the two drivers of customer equity, namely value equity and brand equity, do not significantly influence customer purchase intentions; customer inspiration variables significantly influence purchase intentions; and social media marketing activities do not have a significant effect on direct purchase intentions.

Abstract

This thesis examines the challenges faced by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) in achieving a score of 4.0 on the Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (INDI 4.0), highlighting the gap between current industrial practices and the optimal outcomes set by the INDI 4.0 framework. Through qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, this study conducts an in-depth gap analysis across various domains such as management and organization, human resources and culture, products and services, technology, and company operations to evaluate the current state of digital transformation within the company. The findings indicate significant gaps in strategic alignment, technology adoption, and employee engagement with digital initiatives. These gaps contribute to the current INDI 4.0 score of 3.56, limiting the company's progress toward the desired level of industrial readiness. Additionally, survey results show a score of 3.25, indicating that PT Hutama Karya is still in the early stages of implementation with uneven technology adoption. Strategic recommendations are proposed to bridge these gaps, including enhanced strategic coordination, strengthened technology integration, and the development of a digital-supportive culture. These strategies are designed to facilitate a smoother transition to Industry 4.0 for PT Hutama Karya and provide a framework applicable to similar companies in the infrastructure sector. This research contributes to a broader understanding of the digital transformation challenges within the construction and infrastructure industry, offering a detailed roadmap for effective Industry 4.0 implementation

Abstract

This study aims to investigate whether self-assessment is valid and reliable for assessing reading comprehension. Participants in this study were 18 male students and 20 female students from a junior high school. This research is quantitative research designed with mixed methods, causal-comparative and correlative research. Independent t test was used to analyse validity, and correlation analysis was used to test reliability. Researchers used two instruments in the data collection process, (1) a self-assessment questionnaire and (2) a reading comprehension test. This research concludes that 1) self-assessment is valid because male and female students do not carry out self-assessment differently. This means that gender is not a construct irrelevance factor that affects the validity of self-assessment. 2) Self-assessment is reliable or consistent because there is a positive correlation between self-assessment scores and reading comprehension tests. Two statistical analyses were used to examine the data collected. First, independent t-tests were used to investigate the influence of gender on self-assessment scores. From data analysis, this study revealed that there were no significant differences between male and female students in self-assessment. This means that gender is not proven to be an irrelevant factor to the construct that affects validity. Thus, the self-assessment of reading comprehension in junior high school is valid.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain an overview of the communication and interaction patterns occurring within the Converse fan group, Converse Head Indonesia, using the critical-constructivism paradigm. This study employs a digital ethnography strategy with a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews and observations of the group's activities on their Facebook fan page. Through interviews with six informants selected purposively and using the snowball technique, it was found that social interactions among CHI members are grouped into nine dimensional categories based on interview questions. The results reveal that members join the network to socialize and gain access to the latest Converse products, including benefits, price information, and where to obtain them. From the interactions among CHI members, exclusivity, value standards, appearance standards, and ethics were also identified. Lastly, it was found that the interactions within the CHI group predominantly emphasize economic values.

Abstract

In general, tourist destinations in Labuan Bajo are synonymous with Komodo National Park which is one of the seven wonders of the world. This is the background for the developer to invest in the construction of resort X in Labuan Bajo. It is hoped that the X resort area can become an attraction for tourists in Labuan Bajo. In this study, a financial feasibility analysis was carried out to find out whether or not the investment to be made was feasible. The methods used are discounted cash flow (DCF) and Monte Carlo. The X resort construction project is built on an area of 113,396 m2 and is planned to build 263 units of shop houses and 1 unit of 4-star hotels as well as supporting buildings such as back of house (BOH) buildings, public toilets, floating libraries, arrival pavilions. The results of the analysis using the DCF method show a positive NPV value of Rp 87,895,000,000 and an IRR value of 17.66% greater than the Minimum Attractive Rate of Return (MARR) value of 10%, so that the project can be declared feasible to be implemented, as well as the Monte Carlo method which shows a positive NPV value of Rp 35,423,000,000 and an IRR value of 12.82% greater than the MARR value. Therefore, based on the results of the analysis of these two methods, the X resort project in Labuan Bajo can be declared feasible to be implemented.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial distress, earnings management, and profitability on firm value, with good corporate governance (institutional ownership) as a moderating variable. Focusing on infrastructure sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2023, this research employs Tobin's Q to measure firm value, the Altman Z-Score for financial distress, the modified Jones model for earnings management, and Return on Assets (ROA) for profitability. The findings reveal that profitability positively and significantly affects firm value, while financial distress and earnings management show no significant impact. Additionally, institutional ownership does not moderate the effects of financial distress and earnings management on firm value, though it successfully moderates the relationship between profitability and firm value. These results underscore the importance of profitability and good corporate governance in enhancing firm value, with implications for investor decision-making and corporate strategy in Indonesia’s infrastructure sector.
