Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Dividend Yield on Stock Price Volatility in companies included in the IDX30 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019-2023 period. Utilizing secondary data from annual reports of IDX30 companies, panel data regression analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between the variables. The findings reveal that Dividend Yield positively affects Stock Price Volatility, contradicting the initial hypothesis. The results indicate that an increase in Dividend Yield leads to higher Stock Price Volatility, while a decrease in Dividend Yield results in lower Stock Price Volatility. This research provides valuable insights for investors in understanding the dynamics between dividend policies and stock price fluctuations.

Abstract

Globally, stunting is a severe public health concern, especially in low- and middle-income nations like Indonesia. It is typified by stunted growth and development due to recurrent infections and chronic malnutrition. North Jakarta has a 19.8% stunting incidence, according to the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey. This indicates the critical need for additional research into the factors contributing to stunting, such as hair zinc levels, dietary habits, and infectious infections. This study employs an observational case-control design conducted in North Jakarta in March 2024. Stunting incidence and hair zinc levels are significantly correlated (p=0.000), affecting 87.5% of children with low hair zinc levels. Stunting is also correlated considerably (p=0.000) with incorrect feeding patterns; 75.7% of children who exhibit these patterns are stunted. On the other hand, there was no statistically significant correlation (p=0.806) between the incidence of stunting and a history of infectious illnesses. The mother's level of education, the child's age, gender, and family income did not significantly correlate with stunting.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of gamification on students' collaboration skills, engagement, and learning achievement in the context of 21st-century education. Utilizing an experimental method, the research was conducted to observe the effects of implementing gamification, particularly through the Quizizz application, in classroom learning. The findings revealed that students in the experimental group, who experienced gamified learning, showed significant improvement in collaboration skills, engagement, and academic achievement compared to the control group. The application of gamification provided an interactive and engaging learning environment that promoted active participation and collaboration among students. The use of gamification as a learning strategy not only enhances students' soft skills but also contributes positively to their overall academic performance. These results suggest that gamification is an effective tool in modern educational settings, providing valuable insights for educators and policymakers to enhance learning outcomes.

Abstract

Vertigo, difficulty walking, and loss of balance/coordination are among the symptoms of stroke in 50% of stroke cases. Vertigo due to cerebrovascular disease is generally associated with other neurological signs such as cranial nerve abnormalities, hemiparesis, facial weakness, diplopia, hyperesthesia, and Horner's syndrome. A 42-year-old woman came to the emergency department with complaints of dizziness, nausea, and frequent vomiting for the previous 4 hours. The symptoms are also accompanied by a feeling of tingling on the left side of the face, and the left eyelid cannot open optimally. The patient has a history of uncontrolled hypertension. The HINTS test revealed central vertigo, and the patient also found dysdiadochokinesis, ataxia, and dysmethria. A non-contrast head CT scan showed ICH in the left cerebellum with a volume of 6.9 cc. Based on the results of these examinations, the patient was diagnosed with cerebellar hemorrhage. The blood supply to the brainstem, cerebellum, and inner ear comes from the vertebrobasilar vascular system. Blockage or rupture of blood vessels in one of the main branches of this system can cause symptoms of vertigo. Symptoms of vertebrobasilar stroke vary widely and depend on which of the three main circumferential branches is affected; posterior inferior cerebellar artery, anterior inferior cerebellar artery, or superior cerebellar artery.  Vertigo in patients who have risk factors for stroke accompanied by other neurological symptoms should be considered for a thorough neurological examination to evaluate the possibility of cerebrovascular disease.

Abstract

Congenital syphilis (CS) cases in worldwide have reached 700.000 cases until 2023. Especially late or untreated cases can cause up to 80% of poor pregnancy outcomes. This case report discusses the treatment strategy of symptomatic CS case in a newborn with multiple comorbidities. A newborn female infant was admitted with cutaneous lesions comprising white patches with a bluish-red base, as well as jaundice. The patient was born to a single mother with a history of multiple partners and never had an antenatal care. The patient exhibited pale yellow stools with a putty-like consistency and dark-yellow urine. The patient was tachypnea (oxygen saturation of 86% on room air), exhibiting jaundice of the eyes and skin (Cramer IV). Laboratory results were positive for syphilis, severe thrombocytopenia (10×103/µL), hyperbilirubinemia with total bilirubin 18.89 mg/dL, direct bilirubin 11.81 mg/dL, and indirect bilirubin 7.08 mg/dL. Babygram suggested pneumonia, while 2-phase abdominal ultrasound showed impaired gallbladder contractility. The patient was diagnosed with CS, pneumonia neonatal, and cholestasis suspicious for biliary atresia. The patient was stabilized hemodynamically, administered intravenous fluids containing dextrose 10%, benzathine penicillin G 130,000 IU was administered intramuscularly every 24 hours (10 days) according to hospital availability for syphilis treatment, combination of cefoperazone-sulbactam and gentamicin for the treatment of pneumonia, and ursodeoxycholic-acid (UDCA) for the treatment of cholestasis. The patient's condition showed gradual improvement, with the skin lesions also demonstrating improvement, although jaundice persisted. In the last follow-up, due to stable condition, the patient was discharged to outpatient with continued oral UDCA therapy.

Abstract

As a result of growing digital technologies in the financial sector, the traditional slow lending process is being replaced by fast and easy digital lending systems that can make decisions in real time. Both lenders and borrowers have experienced the benefits of digital lending, the activities of microfinance institutions have expanded rapidly and the volume of digital microloans has increased significantly worldwide, including Mongolia. At the same time with the growing volume of digital microloans in Mongolia, the rationality of credit risk management has been becoming more critical. Credit quality is the most important factor in optimal credit risk management. It depends on determining the customer's creditworthiness and making accurate credit decisions. This research focuses on a credit scoring system to improve the digital loan evaluation system of the Mongolian microfinance institute. This study aims to contribute to the development of possible credit scoring systems for Mongolian microfinance institutions by comparing several machine-learning approaches based on loan datasets of a non-banking microfinance institute in Mongolia. The result shows the ensemble methods Random Forest and XGBoost Tree's accuracies are higher than other machine learning models for the microloan borrowers' repayment status prediction.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of overall quality and self-efficacy on the flow and satisfaction of distance learning learners in the post-pandemic period in public sector organizations. Research data were collected through an online survey of distance learning participants in public sector organizations. A total of 701 data were analyzed. The data analysis method used was CB-SEM using Lisrel 8.80. This study found that system quality, information quality, and flow significantly and positively affected the satisfaction of distance learning participants. Self-efficacy, information quality, and service quality also have a positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of distance learning participants through the mediation of flow. Many previous studies have explored the effect of overall quality on online learning satisfaction in school or universities. However, this study is different in that it focuses on the context of public sector organizations by adding self-efficacy variables as internal factors of learners and including flow variables as mediators, considering that learners and instructors are not in the same location during distance learning. According to the findings from the conducted research, this study recommends that education and training organizers in the public sector can pay attention to factors that affect learner satisfaction in distance learning which include self-efficacy, overall learning quality, and flow in learning.

Abstract

The Indonesian state is a state of law as stipulated in Article 1 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution, meaning that as a state of law, all and every action of state administrators and citizens must follow and comply with any applicable regulations or laws. In the concept of a state of law, what is used as the commander in state life is the law itself. As a state of law, Indonesia highly upholds and recognizes the protection of human rights. Protection of human rights means that every citizen and/or community group must be seen as equal. In addition, certain groups that have special needs or vulnerabilities such as indigenous peoples, where the fulfillment of their rights must be treated very extra. This is clearly stated in Article 18B paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution. However, empirically, there are rights of indigenous groups that are often violated, such as the indigenous people in Negeri Passo, where their traditional rights in the form of Upulatu or king titles for generations are about to be revoked by parties who are supposed to protect and guarantee their customary legal rights. However, in reality, they actually tried to take away the traditional rights of the indigenous people in Negeri Passo by making new local regulations using their power/office, which resulted in losses to the indigenous people themselves. As a result, these indigenous groups find it difficult to obtain legal certainty as indigenous peoples.

Abstract

This research analyzes the return spill-over of green bonds issued among several categories of countries and relation of its return spill-over to various global economic conditions. The research employs a time-varying parameter vector autoregression (TVP-VAR) methodol-ogy to account for the return spill-over among countries, and wavelet coherence analysis (WCA) for relation between return spill-over and global economic policy uncertainty (GEPU) index. This study utilizes yield data from green bonds issued from January 2014 to February 2024. This period chosen based on the commencement of green bond issuance in several Emerging Market (EM), Frontier Market (FM) and Least Developed Market (LDM). The findings of this research is the green bonds issued from Developed Market (DM) gives bigger return spill-over effect to the green bonds issued from EM, rather than to FM and to LDM. This spill-over effect from DM to EM raises due to the high GEPU Index, which means the more uncertain the global economics policy, investor rather to safe in stable financial instrument such as green bonds issued in DM and EM.
