Abstract

Consumers frequently face issues with defaults on housing agreements, often driven by attractive low prices and developers leveraging sharia concepts. PT Fimadani Graha Mandiri (FGM), based in Bekasi, exemplifies this trend, utilizing Binding Sale and Purchase Agreements (Akad Istishna) and Sale and Purchase Agreements on Credit and Installments (Al-Bay' Bi Ad-Dayn Wa Bi At-Taqsith). These agreements delineate the rights and obligations of both developers and consumers. This study aims to analyze consumer protection within these agreements, focusing on safeguarding consumers against developer defaults and examining legal protections in consumer default lawsuits. Employing a doctrinal law method, the research synthesizes relevant rules, principles, and norms. Findings indicate that consumer protection mechanisms in these agreements include the right to accurate information, the ability to select products according to personal preferences, compensation for discrepancies in specifications, and timely delivery of housing. However, the effectiveness of consumer protection in judicial outcomes remains suboptimal. In several cases, PT FGM has denied compensation and refunds, citing a lack of funds and assets. Consequently, consumers face challenges in executing legal claims due to the inability to ascertain the company's assets. This analysis underscores the need for enhanced consumer protections and more effective judicial remedies to address defaults in housing agreements.

Abstract

Acid mine drainage (AMD) is a significant environmental impact of coal mining, particularly in open-pit mining systems. To neutralize AMD acidity, the commonly used method involves adding quicklime (CaO). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using eggshells, which contain calcium carbonate (CaCO3), as an additive to quicklime in AMD treatment. Experiments were conducted with varying doses of ground and calcined eggshells at 150°C and 300°C. The results indicate that calcining eggshells at higher temperatures enhances their effectiveness in increasing AMD pH. Without calcination, the pH increased by 1.87%, while calcination at 150°C and 300°C resulted in pH increases of 1.87% and 8.6%, respectively. However, excessive doses of eggshells may decrease pH. Therefore, using calcined eggshells as an additive to quicklime offers a more economical and environmentally friendly solution for AMD treatment.

Abstract

The phenomenon of quiet quitting has significantly captured global attention across various industries in recent years. Quiet quitting refers to a form of employee disengagement characterized by limiting their efforts to meeting minimal expectations and avoiding additional tasks or responsibilities beyond what is explicitly required. This behavior impacts organizational performance, workplace dynamics, and employee well-being. When employees silently disengage from full involvement in their work, organizations may experience decreased productivity, hindered teamwork dynamics, and challenges in retaining top talent. This research aims to analyze the determinant factors in the quiet quitting intention phenomenon, mediated by work engagement and job satisfaction. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed quantitatively from 405 employees of a banking sector company in Indonesia using purposive sampling and analyzed with Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using Smart PLS. By understanding these signs, organizations can early detect quiet quitting intention behaviors and take appropriate steps to determine the necessary actions to address the underlying issues of quiet quitting behavior.

Abstract

Religious radicalism is one of the threats to the harmony of society and the state. Islamic boarding schools as Islamic educational institutions have an important role in preventing the spread of radical ideology through moderate education. This study was conducted to understand how the process of instilling the values of religious moderation takes place in this Islamic boarding school and its effectiveness in preventing radicalism among students. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The data collection technique in this study is through literature studies and document studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that Pesantren Ma'had Madinatul Khairaat Buntuna emphasizes the importance of moderate education with an approach that teaches students to respect differences, both among fellow Muslims and with adherents of other religions. Values such as tolerance, deliberation, and brotherhood are instilled through various religious activities, such as religious studies, discussions, and social activities outside the pesantren. Students are also taught to understand religious teachings as a whole, not only from a narrow literal perspective, so that they are able to ward off radicalism.

Abstract

One of the most important hospital management functions is the management of pharmaceutical drug logistics. Drug planning is the process of selecting the type and quantity of drugs required for procurement. Various managerial theories can be used to analyze drug control in pharmaceutical installations, and three research journals on pharmaceutical drug logistics control in hospitals are used for this literature review. The results of the analysis show that there are four methods in drug control: EOQ (economic purchase amount), ABC (better control at all times), ROP (point of repurchase), and VEN (vital, essential, and non-essential). One way to help pharmaceutical logistics stock inventory be more efficient, efficient, and responsive to patient needs and service dynamics is to apply one or a combination of these four methods. Good drug stock management can ensure optimal inventory control, improve service quality, reduce costs, and better manage risks.

Abstract

There is an urgent need for aquaculture systems that not only increase productivity, but also maintain ecological balance and improve the well-being of local communities. With increasing pressure on natural resources due to overexploitation, emerging climate change, and global economic uncertainty, new approaches that integrate terrestrial and marine ecosystems are crucial. This research aims to develop an integrated aquaculture model that prioritises harmony between nature and society. This approach incorporates organic farming and mariculture practices, in line with blue economy principles, to create environmental sustainability and social welfare. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with a focus on mapping specific regional areas consisting of three or four agro-climatic regions. Data were collected through surveys and focus group discussions (FGDs), covering ecological factors such as climate, coastal plain quality, seabed and seawater. Seawater health estimation for mariculture was based on physical, chemical and biological parameters with APHA (1992) guidelines. The results show that this integrated aquaculture can improve environmental quality and productivity of land and sea, while creating harmony between natural resource management and social welfare. This model provides a practical solution to achieve sustainable development.
