Abstract

This research focuses on the implementation of transparency and accountability principles in the management of zakat, infak, and sedekah (ZIS) funds by Yayasan Baitul Maal XYZ (YBM XYZ). The primary challenge faced by zakat management institutions is ensuring the trustworthy management of funds in compliance with shariah principles, as expected by the community. The objective of this study is to evaluate the extent to which YBM XYZ has implemented transparency and accountability principles in the management of ZIS funds in 2023. The research employs a case study method with a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with YBM XYZ’s internal stakeholders and document analysis, including annual financial reports and program reports. The findings reveal that YBM XYZ has successfully met most of the indicators for transparency and all indicators for accountability. In the transparency aspect, the institution met 15 out of 17 evaluated indicators. Two indicators that were not fulfilled pertain to the quality of financial reporting, specifically the use of an integrated financial information system such as SIMBA (Sistem Informasi dan Manajemen BAZNAS), and the lack of ISO certification as part of the organization’s governance. Despite these limitations, YBM XYZ regularly publishes financial reports through various media and provides accessible information for stakeholders. On the accountability aspect, YBM XYZ successfully met all defined indicators. The operational efficiency of using only 10% of the collected funds for operational costs (lower than the national standard of 12.5%) reflects the organization’s commitment to economical and responsible management.

Abstract

This research examines the increasing awareness and adoption of green products among Gen Z consumers in Indonesia, particularly in Jakarta. Understanding their purchasing behaviors towards green products is crucial in promoting environmentally friendly consumption in emerging markets. Despite the growing interest, it remains unclear whether Indonesian Gen Z is actively shifting their purchases toward green products. This study aims to address this gap by exploring the factors influencing their green purchase behavior. This research specifically investigates the influences on green purchasing decisions among Indonesian Gen Z, a demographic that has not been extensively studied in previous literature regarding green purchase behavior. Data was collected through a self-administered online survey involving 335 respondents. The research employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM) to analyze the relationships between perceived behavioral control (PBC), subjective norms (SN), green attitude (GA), green branding (GB), perceived environmental responsibility (PER), green packaging (GP), and purchase intention (PI). The findings reveal that green attitude, green packaging, and purchase intention significantly and positively impact green purchase behavior among Gen Z consumers. The study concludes that fostering positive green attitudes and enhancing brand image can significantly encourage green consumption among Indonesian Gen Z. Marketers and policymakers should prioritize these aspects to promote green purchase behavior effectively. This study makes theoretical contributions, as the mentioned literature represents key variables that ultimately lead to green purchase behavior.

Abstract

Searching the knowledge base on the system running at PT Softbless Solutions has the disadvantage of only being able to use keywords. Search results are also often irrelevant to what employees want. With the widespread use of AI in chatbots, it can improve information searches that are more interactive for employees. In this research, the methodology used in system development was the RAD (Rapid Application Development), and for bot development was the RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) method, which makes it possible to develop LLM such as ChatGPT to use existing knowledge base data in finding the desired information. This RAG implementation uses the LangChain framework and ChromaDB database to store data in embedding form. In the final result, the chatbot can be accessed in web applications and Telegram bots, and it achieves a User Acceptance Test value of 96.4%, which shows that the system and bot that have been built have a high level of usability. This research is expected to improve employee interaction in searching the knowledge base and become a reference for similar research.

Abstract

Levonorgestrel implant is the most used in Indonesia, it is free provided by BKKBN. Levonorgestrel implant provides 99.95% of effectiveness. However, it could not prevent pregnancy absolutely including ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is a life threatening condition that is oftenly ignored by the patient and sometimes misdiagnosed. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy is very low, particularly in implant contraceptive users. Despite this fact, little is known about mechanism of implant failure including its correlation to ectopic pregnancy, and studies are limited. This case report presented a levonorgestrel implant contraceptive failure result in ectopic pregnancy. A 21-years-old woman P1001 was provided with levonorgestrel implant seventh month before admission. Patient was presented to emergency department after suffering from severe lower abdominal pain. She was diagnosed with ruptured ectopic pregnancy and underwent exploratory laparotomy. Her ruptured right fallopian tube was ligated and partially removed. Histopathological examination supported the diagnosis, chorionic villi lined with syncytiotrophoblast and cytotrophoblast cells in right fallopian tube tissue were found.  The levonorgestrel implant was removed and she was scheduled for next contraceptive counseling. This case report emphasizes the fact that low incidence of contraceptive implant failure, does not rule out the possibility of ectopic pregnancy. Several hypotheses have been proposed as the cause of ectopic pregnancy. Further research is necessary to determine definitive etiology in ectopic pregnancy with levonorgestrel implant contraceptive failure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the association between corporate governance and environmental environmental sustainability reporting based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard. In the modern business era, environmental sustainability reportingis not only a form of corporate accountability to the environment, but also an indicator of transparency and corporate responsibility. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data from annual reports and sustainability of public companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Governance variables are measured through ownership structure and board composition, while GRI reporting is analyzed based on the environmental disclosure index. The results showed that corporate governance has a significant positive association with the level of disclosure of environmental environmental sustainability reporting. The findings reinforce the view that good governance practices can encourage companies to be more responsible for the environmental impacts of their operations. This research provides implications for regulators, investors, and corporate management in encouraging integration between effective governance practices and transparent and accountable environmental sustainability reporting.
