Abstract

Leaf aphid (Chaetosiphon fragaefolii; Aphididae) is one of the pests that attack Strawberry plants (Fragaria x ananassa) which can transmit infective viruses to Strawberry plants (Fragaria x ananassa). Symptoms caused by leaf aphids (Chaetosiphon fragaefolii) include sooty mold, dwarfed growth, twisted stems, curling, and yellowing. Farmers will suffer losses caused by the symptoms of leaf aphids (Chaetosiphon fragaefolii) such as significant decreases in Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa) harvest yields. The methodology used in this article review is by conducting literature studies from various platforms such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, Bing AI, Publish or Perish, and SINTA from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The literature obtained consists of 60 journals discussing leaf aphids (Chaetosiphon fragaefolii) attacking Strawberry plants (Fragaria x ananassa), symptoms caused by leaf aphids (Chaetosiphon fragaefolii), and leaf aphid (Chaetosiphon fragaefolii) control methods. Then the literature obtained is summarized and organized using Mendeley. The aim of this literature study is to examine ways to control leaf aphids (Chaetosiphon fragaefolii) attacking Strawberry plants (Fragaria x ananassa) using natural materials. The results for controlling leaf aphids (Chaetosiphon fragaefolii) through natural materials are as follows: Entomopathogenic fungi: Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium sp. Parasitoids: Aphelinus varipes, Predators: Syrphidae family, Asilidae family, Orius insidiosus, Cycloneda sanguinea, Eriopis connexa, and Coleomegilla quadrifasciata. Organic pesticides: neem leaves with a concentration of 35 (g/l of water) and mortality of 8.76 individuals, while papaya leaves using a concentration of 30 ml/liter of water.

Abstract

The development of e-commerce transactions also provides opportunities and challenges for consumers. The opportunity for consumers is that they can easily and quickly get the goods or services they need. However, the challenge for consumers is the risk of fraud or violation of consumer rights in e-commerce transactions. The aim of this research is to determine legal protection regulations and their implementation for consumers in e-commerce transactions in Indonesia. This research uses legal research methods with a normative juridical approach. The data collection technique in this research is literature study. The data that has been collected is then analyzed qualitatively by understanding and interpreting the data in depth. The research results show that aspects of legal protection for consumers in buying and selling transactions via electronic media are regulated in several laws, namely Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade, and Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Changes. Implementation of this Law is carried out through several steps, including the establishment of special regulations detailing consumer rights and obligations in electronic transactions. Apart from that, implementation also involves active law enforcement to deal with violations of consumer protection provisions as well as efforts to increase consumer awareness through various education and information programs.

Abstract

Intellectual property rights (IPR) are an important asset for business people, both individu-als and companies. IPR can protect intellectual works, such as copyrighted works, patents, brands and industrial designs. The aim of this research is to analyze the legal protection of IPR in global business. This research uses normative legal research methods. Research data was obtained through literature study. Research data was analyzed qualitatively in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The re-search results show that legal protection for intellectual property rights in global business has actually been regulated in various legal sources such as conventions, one of which is regulated by Article 27 (2) Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the TRIPS Agreement (Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property) convention. Rights), Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, and Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property. This regulation shows that intellectual property rights are part of human rights that must be protected, respected and fulfilled by the government.

Abstract

This article aims to explain and answer the research question: Why did the localization of the global norms of the 1951 Refugee Convention in Indonesia lead to the issuance of Presidential Regulation No. 125 of 2016? Indonesia has been a transit area for refugees since 1979 and is the third country in ASEAN with the highest number of refugees. However, Indonesia has never formally and officially adopted the 1951 Refugee Convention. To answer the research question, this study applies the concept of norm localization proposed by Acharya (2004) as the framework for the analysis. This concept explains that the localization process of global norms might lead to three possible outcomes: acceptance of the norms, adaptation and modification of the norms, or complete rejection of the norms. The adaptation of the global norms is the result of adjusting some elements of the norm that are considered more appropriate to the local situations. In this article, we argue that the consideration of humanitarian values, national interests, and domestic challenges are the three most significant domestic factors that influence the process of norm localization in Indonesia. This article discusses how the three factors influenced the process of policy/decision-making on how Indonesia should deal with its refugee issues. In conclusion, we mainly argue that Presidential Regulation No. 125 of 2016 is the result of a complex adaptation process of the UN 1951 Refugee Convention, which involved multidimensional issues, as well as a multi-actor that represents various interests.

Abstract

The paper aims to understand the current readiness level of Industry 4.0 in the food industry. Furthermore, the study explores the prioritized Industry 4.0 dimensions and initiatives needed to improve the readiness level. The study uses an explanatory sequential mixed-method design. In the quantitative phase, the Industry 4.0 readiness assessment was conducted using the Smart Industry Readiness Index framework. The quantitative study further explores the prioritized dimensions using The Prioritization Matrix framework. In the qualitative phase, interviews with industry practitioners from the participating companies were conducted to gain more understanding and propose the conceptual roadmap. The study found that the Indonesian food industry has a better average readiness than the global average but significantly lower than the best-in-class manufacturers. Vertical Integration, Shop Floor Intelligence, Shop Floor Automation, and Workforce Learning & Development are four priority dimensions to increase the readiness level in the food industry. A conceptual roadmap was proposed to improve the readiness index based on the strategic planning horizon, prioritized dimensions, and initiatives identified from interview results. The results of this study would provide an additional reference for applying explanatory sequential mixed-method design. The prioritized dimensions found would also benefit other researchers in the development of the readiness or maturity model. This paper provides a deeper understanding of Industry 4.0 readiness, the prioritized dimensions, and related improvement initiatives to propose the strategic roadmap for the food industry by utilizing explanatory sequential mixed-method design.
