Abstract

This study examines the case of two students, Y.A.A and R, both experiencing difficulties in reading, potentially indicating learning disorders or intellectual disabilities. Y.A.A, a 13-year-old boy, struggles with reading despite being active in other activities. R, on the other hand, shows signs of malnutrition during childhood and has difficulty in various academic subjects. Assessments using the WISC and VSMS indicate below-average intellectual abilities and social-communication skills. Informal reading tests reveal R's challenges in identifying letters, pronouncing words, and comprehending text. Cognitive, socio-emotional, and motivational aspects contribute to R's reading difficulties, suggesting a need for tailored interventions. The Synthetic Analysis Structure (SAS) method is proposed to improve R's reading skills, supported by psychoeducation for R's family and teachers. Evaluation shows promising progress in R's reading ability and emphasizes the importance of personalized interventions and parental involvement.

Abstract

This research aims to select the most suitable type of water turbine for the micro-hydro power plant (PLTMH) site in the Anggi District, Pegunungan Arfak Regency, West Papua Province. The study also aims to design the most optimal and effective turbine in terms of technical aspects and generator system reliability. This objective is directed towards providing recommendations for the development of the second unit of PLTMH Anggi in a more comprehensive manner rather than relying solely on expert recommendations without thorough analysis. The data used in this research was obtained from field surveys and secondary data sources. The initial step in selecting the turbine type involves manual turbine design calculations, taking into consideration parameters such as water flow, head height, and hydraulic efficiency. Based on these calculation results, the "Francis" turbine type was chosen as the preferred option, differing from the existing Propeller Tubular Type-S turbine installed in Unit 1. The selected turbine, "Francis," was then modeled using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations with the Ansys Fluent software. These simulations provide computer-generated data on hydrodynamic characteristics, pressure distribution, and flow velocity around the turbine under various operational conditions. This research has significant implications for improving the efficiency and reliability of the micro-hydro power plant system for the optimal power and efficiency development of Unit 2.

Abstract

This study analyzes the efficiency levels of Indonesian banking companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of 2019-2022, encompassing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Efficiency in banking is crucial for maintaining competitive advantage and ensuring financial stability, especially in the face of global challenges such as economic globalization and digitalization. The research evaluates the efficiency of banks using indicators like the CAMEL method, BOPO, NIM, NPL, LDR, and CAR ratios. The study finds that the pandemic significantly affected banks' efficiency, with notable declines in NIM and ROA ratios due to economic uncertainty and operational cost challenges. Post-pandemic, these ratios have shown signs of stabilization. The study uses descriptive quantitative methods, analyzing secondary data from annual financial reports of eight banking companies listed on IDX. The results indicate that strategic measures in risk management and cost efficiency are imperative for banks to navigate future uncertainties.
