Abstract

Competition is becoming tougher, and the easy and fast use of social media has made people more dependent on it. The ease of accessing Instagram social media has made Cak Ji, the Deputy Mayor of Surabaya. He routinely documents his daily activities through photos and videos and uploads them to his personal Instagram account. Researchers seek to analyze the video and photo content uploaded by the individual on their Instagram account, from February 26, 2021, to February 26, 2022. The aim is to determine whether the image displayed is in line with the actual personality or merely a portrayal done to meet content needs on the platform. This study uses the concept of personal branding, particularly through the application of The Eight Laws Of Personal Branding developed. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative approach. In collecting data, the method used is documentation. Data analysis uses the model of data reduction, data presentation stage, and conclusion drawing or verification stage, by interpreting and analyzing the existing data based on the theory used by researchers to draw conclusions. From the research conducted on the Instagram account @Cakj1, it can be shown that Cak Ji's personal branding fulfills the eight main concepts of personal branding by Peter Montonya, namely: 1. (The Law of Specialization), 2.(The Law of Leadership), 3. (The Law of Personality), 4. (The Law of Distinctiveness), 5.(The Law of Visibility), 6. (The Law of Unity), 7. (The Law of Persistence), 8. Abstract

The foundation is the lower part of a structure used as a load distributor for loads generated. The selection of foundation types in building construction must consider the type and characteristics of the soil at the construction site to avoid construction failures. This analysis is conducted to determine the bearing capacity of pile foundations using analytical and finite element methods. The type of foundation used in this analysis is a pile foundation with a pile length of 8 meters and a pile diameter of 0.4 meters. For the analytical calculation, Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data obtained from PT. Adhi Karya (Persero) for the Infrastructure Green House Biodiversity LIPI Cibinong-Bogor project are used, employing the analytical method (Alpha Method) and the finite element method with the assistance of Plaxis 2D V.8 software. The results of the analysis show that the bearing capacity of the group pile foundation (Qg) for a pile diameter of 0.4 meters and a pile length of 8 meters on clayey soil, based on SPT data using the analytical method (Alpha Method), is 60.432 tons. Meanwhile, the bearing capacity of the horizontal pile foundation using the Broms method is 6.03 tons. The bearing capacity obtained using the Finite Element Method yields an ultimate load on the group pile (Qq) of 57.89 tons. The bearing capacity of the group pile foundation (Qg) from both sets of data, with a difference of 2.5%, meets the requirement, being greater than the axial load (P) of 42.6 tons that must be supported.

Abstract

This study was conducted to detect leaks in aluminum casting components in the automotive manufacturing process, which is a significant issue because it can affect vehicle safety. The method used in this study is the Cosmo Air Leak Tester for leak testing using air pressure and differential methods, as well as bubble test testing as an alternative method. The results of the study show that the air leak tester machine has stable values but cannot detect leaks caused by deformation. Changes in parameters on the Cosmo Air Leak Tester do not significantly affect bubble detection. On the other hand, the water leak method proved effective in detecting early leaks with the appearance of bubbles in products experiencing deformation up to 40 microns

Abstract

Wage based on unit of output is a wage paid based on the production or quantity of goods produced by the worker, in this research, the amount of batik produced by the batik maker. This study aims to determine the implementation of piece-rate wages for batik workers, Pekalongan (Batang) area in Central Java and Cirebon, West Java to see the welfare of batik workers. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection instruments in the form of interviews and field observations. The magnitude of the poverty line and the average monthly per capita expenditure of the community at the provincial and city levels are indicators in determining the welfare level of workers. The results show that the piece-rate wages received by batik workers are higher than the city and provincial poverty lines, but still low when compared to the average monthly per capita expenditure at the provincial and city levels. Nevertheless, employers can determine the amount of wages below the government's decision if employers and workers have agreed. In conclusion, the wages received by the batik workers have not been able to fulfill the KHL of the batik workers optimally. However, batik makers are considered prosperous because they have fulfilled Article 36 Paragraph (2) of Government Regulation No. 36 of 2021 where wages in Small and Medium Enterprises, especially batik, have fulfilled at least 50% of the average consumption of the provincial community and at least 25% above the poverty line at the provincial level.

Abstract

The development of the morality of young Christians in the Mandolang Satu area still shows some engaging in free association, leading them to fall into promiscuity, drug abuse, and excessive drinking. The research aims to highlight and describe the characters of millennial youth shaped within Christian family life and to examine the exemplary figures in the Bible that impact the moral development of millennial youth. This study employs a qualitative method, where the researcher acts as the primary instrument and adapts to the typical situations regarding the collection of predominantly qualitative data. The researcher will describe various perspectives and experiences of informants regarding their moral development based on Christian moral norms and principles, compared to the examples set by Jeremiah and Timothy. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentary studies. The research findings conclude that the character of millennial youth is shaped from childhood and carries on into adulthood within Christian family life. The examples set by Jeremiah and Timothy in the Bible have positive impacts on the moral development of millennial youth but are still limited to understanding and not yet practiced in daily life. The moral development of young people in the millennial era is declining due to societal changes, and free association is considered acceptable, making it difficult for parents and the church to transform the character of millennial youth who no longer follow the examples of Jeremiah and Timothy.

Abstract

This research is meant to analyze the Volatility spillover between the energy commodity market future (Crude Oil, Coal, and Palm Oil) with the Indonesian JKSE stock market and IDR-USD exchange rate. The data used is daily data taken from May 2013 until September 2023 by BEKK Diagonal Model. This research found that there were different patterns in asset pairs in relation to pre-pandemic and pandemic. Crude oil and palm oil had a positive relationship before pandemic and during the pandemic coal and the exchange rate had a positive relationship. Meanwhile, after the COVID-19 pandemic, no covolatility spillover was found. An increase in covolatility spillover from exchange rate asset pairs was found during the pandemic. This research also shows the potential for portfolio diversification for each asset pair through optimal portfolio weights. Understanding volatility movements and interdependencies in commodity futures, stock markets, and exchange rates is important for proper investment management, and this research can help investors make appropriate decisions.
