Abstract

This study discusses the use of digital technology in monitoring and evaluation (monev) activities at La Tansa 1 Islamic Boarding School, Cipanas, Lebak, Banten. The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation and effectiveness of technology in conducting monitoring and evaluation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design to gain an in-depth understanding of technology-based monev practices among teachers. The results show that technology-based monev at La Tansa 1 has been implemented in a structured and continuous manner, not just occasionally. The use of technology helps improve the monitoring of teachers’ performance through a more organized system that can be observed in real time. In addition, technology also encourages the improvement of teachers’ digital skills, making them more adaptive, professional, and efficient in carrying out their duties. The integration of data within the monev system also supports leaders in making more accurate decisions based on clear and measurable information. Overall, the implementation of technology-based monev has a positive impact on improving the quality of learning and student development in the boarding school.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest and poetry skills among sixth-grade students at SDN Ragas 3, caused by a tendency to prioritize gaming and random video consumption on mobile devices over educational use. This study aims to familiarize students with YouTube as an audiovisual learning platform to develop their skills, specifically in poetry. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted over two cycles. Research instruments included observation sheets, performance tests, and documentation. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' poetry skills, with the class average score increasing from 65 in the pre-cycle stage to 85 at the end of Cycle II. Furthermore, this method proved effective in enhancing poetry skills as it allowed students to observe practical examples and encouraged them to perform. In conclusion, the use of the YouTube platform is effective in developing the poetry skills of sixth-grade students at SDN Ragas 3, while providing an interactive learning medium that is relevant to digital technology advancements

Abstract

This study analyzes relevant literature to examine the challenges and opportunities arising from the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the formation of students' Islamic character in the digital era. Through a systematic literature review, this article explores how AI influences students' understanding of Islamic concepts, worship practices, and moral and ethical values. This research uses a qualitative approach by collecting and analyzing scientific articles, journals, and related publications. The results of the analysis show that AI offers wider access to religious information, but it also poses a risk of disinformation. The use of technology in worship practices opens up new opportunities, but also challenges solemnity. Additionally, AI affects students' social interactions, posing challenges such as cyberbullying. This article emphasizes the importance of digital literacy and strong character education to equip students to face the AI era. The conclusion of this study provides practical implications for PAI teachers and policymakers in designing learning strategies that are effective and relevant to the times.

Abstract

The relationship between spirituality and mental health is a vital interdisciplinary field that bridges medicine, psychology, theology, and philosophy. This field explores how beliefs, values, practices, and transcendent experiences influence psychological well-being to complement a holistic approach to mental health that meets human needs. This study aims to develop and conduct a preliminary validity test of a brief Spiritual Assessment module for integration into psychological and psychiatric nursing practice in Indonesia. The module is designed to explore patients’ beliefs, practices, and spiritual communities, and to identify the role of spirituality as a source of strength or conflict. The study employed a structured and systematic literature review (SLR) to identify, evaluate, and synthesize relevant empirical evidence, yielding comprehensive and objective conclusions based on critical review to provide a strong, transparent, replicable, and subjectively unbiased theoretical foundation. First, empirical evidence establishes a significant positive correlation between spiritual engagement and reduced depression, anxiety, and stress as valid protective factors. Second, psychological mechanisms identify spirituality as a meaning-making system that fosters resilience, hope, and gratitude, and enhances self-agency through self-awareness and self-efficacy. Third, clinical applications emphasize the integration of spirituality into psychotherapy and biological psychiatry to improve adherence and coping. Fourth, a comprehensive review affirms the transformative nature of spirituality in fostering sustainable well-being beyond pharmacological interventions. This study concludes that there is strong empirical evidence demonstrating a positive correlation between spirituality and better mental health. These positive effects are mediated by specific psychological mechanisms such as meaning-making and increased resilience. The integration of spirituality into clinical practice is essential for effective holistic care. Spirituality plays a sustained, transformative role in supporting overall mental health through a holistic approach

Abstract

The Islamic boarding school, the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia, has a very strategic role, many great contributions to building the civilization of the people and the nation. Islamic Boarding School Law No. 18 of 2019. Have duties and functions; Education, da'wah. and Community Empowerment. The purpose of the Islamic Boarding School is to form superior individuals who understand and practice religious teachings, have faith, are pious, have noble character, are knowledgeable, independent, Mandatory Elements of the Islamic Boarding School; Kiyai, a student who lives in a residential area, studies the yellow book or Dirasah Islamiah with the Muallimin Education Pattern. Principles of Islamic Boarding School Administration; The One Godhead, nationality, independence, empowerment, benefits, multiculturalism, professionalism, accountability, sustainability, legal certainty. The recognition of the State of Islamic Boarding Schools is recognized as part of the national education system. In recent years, various studies have shown a tendency to decrease the interest of students/parents/the community to enter various Islamic boarding schools, especially Modern Islamic Boarding Schools nationally, the number of students has plummeted dramatically, the Ministry of Religion's EMIS data decreases: Academic year 2025/2026 odd semester: 2,315,046 students in Islamic boarding schools Academic year 2026/2027 odd semester: 1,264,936 students. Down 45.36% in 1 year. This happens in Modern Islamic Boarding Schools in Banten? Banten has 6,776 Islamic boarding schools, the 4th most in Indonesia, which is very logical if it is also affected. As a result of the author's interviews with six leaders of the Modern Islamic Boarding School in Banten during July 2026, there has been a decrease in new students at the Modern Islamic Boarding School in Banten by 35%-65%, The author uses a research method through interviews and analysis of various scientific studies, there are several elements of the cause; 1. Negative sentiments from several immoral events that go viral, becoming a stigma of negative image; 2. Competition with Integrated Islamic Schools, Tahfidz and Boarding and Non-Dormitory-based Technology-based schools. It also competes with fellow Modern Islamic boarding schools which are not much different; 3. Economic factors of the family, country and the international world, and 4. The shift in the interest of parents and the "Z" generation who are pragmatic, comfortable, easy, and loose on rules, is very dependent on gaget/cellphone. The solution; Every pesantren leader all feels grateful for the existing situation, but must continue to make efforts; Islamic boarding schools must improve, digital strategy efforts are active in uploading positive works and activities through mainstream media and social media; Improvement of management governance, upgrading Islamic boarding school human resources, masterplan of professional infrastructure facilities and modernization of the alignment of stakeholders, the community, especially the state are present in the middle of Islamic Boarding Schools. In conclusion, this is not easy to do, but if you want to survive, you must continue to experience changes and improvements, it is hoped that the results will be good.

Abstract

Fiqh worship education is an effort to provide learning about fiqh of worship, namely about how to establish a worship in Islam in accordance with the provisions of sharia. One of the monumental books and still a reference for fiqh, especially in the Southeast Asian region, is the Book of Sabilal Muhtadin by Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari. The book contains a detailed explanation of the provisions of fiqh in Islam that are adapted to the situation and conditions of the people of Kalimantan. Therefore, the researcher is interested in studying the fiqh education of worship contained in the Book of Sabilal Muhtadin by Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari. This research aims to examine the educational process of worship fiqh and examine the purpose of worship fiqh education in the Book of Sabilal Muhtadin by Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari. This research is a library research with a qualitative approach. Primary data include the general concept of worship fiqh, the concept of worship fiqh education and the study of Banjar as a culture. The secondary data is a brief biography of Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari and a general description of the Book of Sabilal Muhtadin. Data collection techniques include Documentary Studies and Literature Studies. Data processing techniques include descriptive methods, data classification editing, and data interpretation. The results of the research obtained that the fiqh education of worship contained in the book of Sabilal Muhtadin can be understood from the description of Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari's explanation of fiqh. The purpose of worship fiqh education includes providing a deep understanding of fiqh to the community, opening the public's view of true worship in Islam, expanding the community's insight and knowledge about worship fiqh, answering the community's problems in carrying out Islamic law, eliminating superstitious beliefs. The process of religious fiqh education that occurs can be seen from the change in the behavior and knowledge of the people of South Kalimantan about religious fiqh after studying the Book of Sabilal Muhtadin.
