Abstract

This research examines the role of Hibua Lamo as a forum in realizing religious moderation and structuring the social life of the Tobelo ethnic community. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was obtained through in-depth interviews with key informants such as cultural figures, Islamic and Christian religious leaders, academics, and bureaucrats from Tobelo and Galela ethnicities. The analysis was conducted qualitatively and elaborated with relevant theories. The results show that the Hibua Lamo philosophy, which includes the values of O'Odora (unlimited love), O'Diai (mutual improvement), O'Adili (justice for all), O'Hayangi (mutual love), and O'Balihara (mutual care), is still strong in the lives of the Tobelo ethnic group. This philosophy has been the basis for religious moderation since the introduction of Islam, Protestant Christianity and Catholicism in Tobelo and Galela, which were accepted by custom and given room to grow. Even in one big family, these religions coexist. Hibua Lamo also became a reference in organizing the social life of modern Tobelo and Galela communities, by forming organizations according to the government structure in North Maluku. These organizations act as unifying symbols and customary symbols that strengthen the Tobelo and Galela ethnicities as the largest ethnic groups in the region.

Abstract

In modern education, fostering effective learning strategies is essential to improve educational outcomes. This study explores the integration of Meaningful Learning, Mindful Learning, and Joyful Learning within the Deep Learning approach, aiming to enhance student engagement and comprehension. Meaningful Learning connects new knowledge with prior understanding, Mindful Learning emphasizes full attention and reflection, and Joyful Learning creates an enjoyable and motivating environment. Using a library research method, this study analyzed data from journal articles, books, and prior studies published between 2000 and 2024 to examine how these approaches support Deep Learning implementation. Results indicate that Meaningful Learning facilitates critical thinking and problem-solving skills through project-based and gamified educational methods. Mindful Learning enhances cognitive abilities, focus, and academic performance using techniques such as mindfulness training and AI-assisted personalization. Joyful Learning fosters emotional engagement and retention through arts integration, game-based activities, and scaffolded learning. Together, these approaches improve conceptual understanding, creativity, and motivation. The study concludes that integrating these three approaches within Deep Learning provides a holistic framework for enhancing educational quality. Future research should investigate the application of this framework across diverse educational settings, including technology-driven and distance learning environments, to maximize its effectiveness.

Abstract

The village of Man’gega is one of the villages that has a Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) with substantial management funds, amounting to 20 million rupiahs. This budget serves as a starting point for progress and innovation in undertaking business ventures. However, the current situation is different. Despite having a large capital, the BUMDes engages in business activities that lack creativity and fail to create its own products with entrepreneurial value. Ideally, BUMDes Maksaira should adopt more effective strategies and tactics. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of implementing BUMDes strategies in running businesses on improving household economic income. The usefulness of this research lies in providing information and evaluation materials for the community and BUMDes Maksaira in Man’gega village. This study employs a qualitative research approach. The type of research is a survey, while the method used is descriptive analysis. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The business activities carried out by BUMDes Maksaira have become a thing of the past. The provision of nine basic needs (sembako) to the village community did not run effectively. Many were unable to repay the costs of obtaining the sembako, which became a burden for BUMDes. The stagnation of the business was also caused by mismanagement, such as BUMDes members themselves being among those obtaining sembako. The recommendations of this study are addressed to the village authorities of Man’gega and BUMDes Maksaira to promptly monitor prices or coordinate with government agencies, in this case, the Industry and Trade Cooperative Office (DISPRINDA KOP), to regulate the prices of sembako sold by BUMDes Maksaira. Alternatively, the business direction could be shifted from selling sembako to focusing on mangrove tourism.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged reforms in land administration in Indonesia, one of which is the application of electronic certificates as evidence of land rights. The use of electronic certificates aims to increase efficiency, transparency, and legal certainty in the process of proving in court. This study aims to analyse the legal validity and practical aspects of the use of electronic certificates in the process of proving land rights according to civil procedural law. The study is based on several key regulations, including the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA), Government Regulation (PP) No. 24 of 1997, PP No. 18 of 2021, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency Regulation (Permen ATR/BPN) No. 1 of 2021, and the Electronic Information and Transaction Law (UU ITE). The results show that electronic certificates are legally recognised as valid evidence in court. These certificates have the same evidentiary power as physical certificates and can be used as a strong evidentiary tool in land rights disputes. In addition, the electronic land registration process enables more effective recording and management of land data, reduces the potential for certificate forgery, and increases the efficiency and security of the evidentiary process in court. However, in practice, the use of electronic certificates still faces several challenges, such as limited digital infrastructure, protection of personal data, and resistance from people who are used to physical certificates. Another obstacle is the doubt of some parties regarding the evidentiary power of electronic certificates in court. Therefore, socialisation efforts, strengthening regulations, and increasing technological and infrastructure capacity are needed to support the optimal implementation of electronic certificates.

Abstract

In This study, the researchers delved into this based on the Z generation in Traditional Dayah through a case study of Three Dayah in Three districts in Aceh. The researchers figured out whether they perceived the same beliefs as their elder scholars. What did they think about their Acehnese Heroines’ contribution and struggle? To investigate balanced data, a purposive sampling method was applied to choose one female and one male student from each Dayah: six participants in total. The participants were interviewed one by one and added voice notes usage to facilitate their sensitive thoughts. The data was analyzed using thematic analysis. Nevertheless, the perception of all participants was not fully categorized into one fix terminology as they did not tend to agree to all characteristic in one terminology. Of six participants, 3 participants had a more conservative perception but two of them did not agree on second characteristic of conservative, two others were fully progressive as they agreed to all characteristics of progressive. Lastly, only one shared “almost moderate” one, even though she strongly argued about the first characteristic of moderate. In the same time, all of them have a positive perception of the Acehnese heroines, even though three of them were doubtful about “the appearance of the heroines whose hairs were unveiled.” Even though they shared the same educational background in traditional Dayah, the perception and daily practice of their family also strongly influenced their perception.

Abstract

Mass media as news producers can be classified into two groups: incorporated and unincorporated mass media. Although both can produce news with the same topic according to actual conditions, the narratives built are not the same. In response to this, readers' criticality is needed to sort out objective and not tendentious information so that the information does not trigger social conflict in the community. This study aims to compare the characteristics of news discourse of the two mass media groups with a critical discourse analysis approach within the framework of media literacy. Data on legal mass media is based on data on the dewanpers.or.id page. The results show that there are obvious differences from the point of view of linguistic features between the news of digital mass media with legal status and those without legal status. This research is expected to be a policy reference for the government in fostering mass media and society.
