Abstract

In general, people think that LPTQ only teaches how to read the Qur'an, but actually LPTQ also provides Islamic education learning. In addition, the lack of Islamic religious education learning in public schools makes students have to get additional Islamic religious education learning. The majority of Islamic religious education learning in public schools is only one meeting a week so it is very unlikely that students will be able to understand more about Islamic religious education learning. The research focus in this study are: 1) How is the Role of Tahfiz Education Institution in Improving Islamic Religious Education at Muamalah Qur'an Tahfiz Education Institution, Sempadian Village, Tekarang District in 2021-2022? 2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors at the Muamlah Qur'an Tahfiz Education Institute (LPTQ) Sempadian Village, Tekarang District 2021-2022? The research approach used by researchers is a qualitative approach. The purpose of research with this qualitative approach is to produce descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people who can be observed. This type of research is field research, which is research conducted by collecting data and information directly in the field (research area). Based on the results of the study found that: First, LPTQ Muamlah, shows that there are several PAI materials taught in LPTQ Muamlah. Some of these materials include reading the Qur'an, faith, worship, morals, fiqh and Islamic history. Based on the six learning materials, it shows that LPTQ Muamalah teaches about PAI materials. Second, the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving PAI learning in LPTQ have supporting and inhibiting factors. It can be seen from several supporting and inhibiting factors. So it is clear that in LPTQ Muamalah the role of tahfiz educational institutions has supporting and inhibiting factors.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Adang language as a cultural identity of the people of Adang Buom Village, Teluk Mutiara District, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The method used is qualitative description with interview techniques with community leaders, Mr Rudi Haan. The results showed that Adang language has an important role in oral tradition, song, and literature, but faces the threat of extinction due to the dominance of Indonesian language. Preservation efforts have been made through the establishment of the Adang Language Literacy House and the publication of the Gospel of Mark Bible and Song of Songs in this language. It is hoped that the community, the younger generation, and researchers will continue to contribute in preserving and developing the Adang language so that it will survive and be passed on to future generations.

Abstract

This research aims to present Cultural Preservation through Kamengmi Cultural Studio in Kamot Village, Alor Timur Laut District. The research method used descriptive qualitative analysis. data collection techniques were carried out in two ways, observation and interviews. this research was conducted in kamot village hamlet 1 RW 02 RT 04 Alor Timur Laut sub-district, Alor district. information in this study is the founder of the Kamengmi studio, namely Mr Maklon Kamenglang. The results of this study show that: (1) The Origins of Kamengmi Cultural Studio in Kamot Village; (2) The Establishment of Kamengmi Cultural Studio as an Effort to Preserve Local Culture; (3) Programmes and Activities in Kamengmi Cultural Studio; (4) The Role of Kamengmi Cultural Studio in Strengthening Local Cultural Identity; (5) Social and Economic Impact on Kamot Village Community; (6) Challenges Faced by Kamengmi Cultural Studio. The results of this study can be concluded that Kamengmi Culture in Kamot Village has a very large role in the preservation of local culture. Through teaching dances, songs, and cultural values, this studio not only preserves cultural heritage but also strengthens the identity of the local community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the customary meal in the marriage ceremony of Abui tribe men to Kui tribe women in Alor district. This research uses qualitative methods with an ethnographic approach. Data analysis techniques were carried out by means of data reduction and conclusion drawing. the research was conducted at Matalafang Tourism, west lembur village, north central alor sub-district, alor district. The informant in this research is the customary head of Matalafang. The results of this study are eating customs in the Abui tribe men's engagement to Kui tribe women. One of the customs that is still maintained until now is the traditional meal in the male engagement ceremony for women. The proposal from Abui men to Kui women is one part of the marriage procession of the Abui and Kui communities. In conducting the proposal ceremony, both parties are represented by their respective spokespersons. In general, the customary food of the Abui tribe and the Kui tribe in the engagement ceremony has similarities, where families bring rice and also animals.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the tradition of the Pinangan Tradition of the Baurah Alor Kecil Tribe in Alor Regency, the research data analysis uses qualitative descriptive analysis, the data used in the research is qualitative data. Data collection techniques through field observations and interviews, interviews with Mr Sulaiman Oramahi. The proposal tradition, known as Akat Nika, is part of the marriage customs practised by the Baurah Tribe. This tradition has a deep meaning in honouring the bride's parents and strengthening the relationship between the families of the two brides. Through this research, it is hoped that the values contained in the proposal tradition and the way the community maintains this tradition in traditional marriages can be known. The results show that the proposal tradition is still upheld and passed down from generation to generation as part of the cultural identity of the Alor Kecil community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the origin of Dulel Village in Alor Barat Daya Subdistrict, Probur Village, Alor Regency This research is a qualitative research method with an ethnographic approach. The methods used in this research are interviews and field observations. The results showed that the origin of the dulel village came from a man named Makna La who lived with his wife who came from the devil nation, finally Makna La and his wife destroyed the devil's village and lived happily and were blessed with two sons named Dulel and Madal, Dulel Village which was built by Dulel, named so that his descendants would not forget their origins. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that Dulel village has an origin related to the legend that developed in the local community.

Abstract

The problem formulation in this study is the influence of the Alphabet Card Media to improve beginning reading skills in Indonesian language subjects at Muriabang GMIT Elementary School. This study uses a pre-experimental quantitative research method with a one-group (pretest-posttest) approach. Data collection techniques are validation and tests. The validation results by the subject matter expert were 85% with a feasible category. In addition, in the assessment format aspect which consists of 5 indicators, the assessment score obtained was 23, from the material content aspect which consists of 7 indicators, the assessment score obtained was 27, while the language assessment aspect consists of 4 indicators, the assessment score obtained was 18. All three aspects were categorised as Very Good. Meanwhile, the media was 80% with a feasible category. In addition, in the appearance aspect of the assessment, which consists of 6 indicators, the score obtained was 25, from the presentation aspect, which consists of 8 indicators, the score obtained was 30, while the security assessment aspect used consists of 2 indicators, the score obtained was 9. All three aspects are categorized as ‘worthy’. The use of the Alphabet Card media has led to an improvement in students' reading skills. This is proven by the Paired Sample t-Test with the results obtained, namely Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000001, which falls into the category of <0.05. The use of Alphabet Card media has a very large influence. This is also seen from the tcount of 6.001> 2.073, which means that the results between the pre-test and post-test classes are very significant.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the history and government of the Batulolong kingdom in Alor district. This study is a qualitative research method with an ethnographic approach. The methods used in this study are interviews and field observations. The results showed that the Batulolong Kingdom was established around 1800, led by the First King Karlau Kep. King Karlau Kep came from Lukabakeka, who then travelled to Kiraman Village and was appointed as the first king after taking a traditional oath by destroying the moko heirloom. The Batulolong Kingdom borders the kingdoms of Kolana, Kui, Alor and Ombay Strait. Since its establishment, the Batulolong Kingdom has been led by 21 kings. During the Swaparaja period, it was led by 10 ketemukungan. The Batulolong Kingdom experienced a change in status when it was transformed into the South Alor sub-district on 17 October 1963 according to the Governor's Decree of the NTT Provincial Head dated 20 July 1963 with Number Pem.66/1/32/1963.

Abstract

Learning methods are a set of methods, efforts, and strategies used by educators so that students can achieve learning goals or master certain competencies formulated in the syllabus. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the right learning method or model for students because the learning method functions as a strategy to achieve the goals of learning activities. It is hoped that teachers can coordinate with what learning methods and models are effective and efficient with Indonesian learning in elementary school. Therefore, the author has tried to research related information, using library or literature research methods through various sources. The goal is for educators to master and understand various kinds of learning methods and models that can be carried out or applied. And from the results of this library research method, it has contributed to finding various learning methods and models that can be applied to Indonesian learning in elementary school.

Abstract

This This research is motivated by the phenomenon of interest in reading in class 4 A students. This research aims to describe the conditions and what factors inhibit and support students' interest in reading in class 4 A at SD YPK Klasaman 2, Sorong City. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a research design, namely a case study. The subjects in this research were the class teacher and 22 students in class 4 A of YPK Klasaman Elementary School, Sorong City. Data collection techniques in this research used interviews and observation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the condition of students' interest in reading is good. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the students in carrying out reading activities for 15 minutes before the lesson takes place or ends later during free time. The students fill the free time by reading textbooks and non-lessons in their respective seats, both in the library and in the classroom. Then, researchers found that there were several inhibiting factors, namely: There were still two students who could not read, there were no reading corners in each class except in the library, there was a lack of role and support from some parents. Supporting factors are the role and support of the teacher and most of the parents, then the teacher carries out reading activities for 15 minutes using textbooks or non-textbooks available in the library or student handbooks and there is great enthusiasm from the students.
