Abstract

Outdoor Learning is a teaching method that involves students learning outside the classroom, utilizing the surrounding environment as a learning resource. This study aims to identify the implementation of outdoor learning through the naturalistic intelligence approach in fifth-grade students at SDN Pondok Cabe Ilir 01. Naturalistic intelligence refers to students' abilities to recognize, classify, and understand natural phenomena and interact with their environment. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Observations of outdoor learning activities conducted by teachers and interviews with students and teachers were used to understand the impact of outdoor learning on the development of students' naturalistic intelligence. The study subjects included 30 fifth-grade students and the teacher conducting the outdoor learning sessions. The results indicate that outdoor learning aligns well with students' naturalistic intelligence, especially in recognizing various types of plants, animals, and other natural phenomena. Activities such as direct observation of nature and group discussions facilitated students' environmental awareness and enhanced their critical thinking and teamwork skills. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that implementing outdoor learning has the potential to improve fifth-grade students' naturalistic intelligence at SDN Pondok Cabe Ilir 01, while also providing a more engaging and meaningful learning experience.

Abstract

Social studies learning is a science that must be taught to students at the elementary school level. This science is considered very important to learn so that they have a more mature readiness when they go into the field and have a direct role in society. To achieve good results, of course, it needs to be supported by a good learning process as well. To realise this, it is not easy, of course, requires a different learning model, in accordance with the objectives to be achieved. To choose a model of social studies learning in SD / MI must pay attention to a variety of things, among others, related to the emphasis on direct social values, and the learning model applied must be interesting, creative, innovative and in accordance with the situation and conditions that exist at the time of the learning process. A learning model is a plan or a pattern used as a guide in planning classroom learning or learning in tutorials. The learning model refers to the learning approach that will be used, including teaching objectives, stages in learning activities, learning environment, and classroom management. The learning model describes the steps or procedures that need to be taken to create effective, efficient and interesting learning activities. Learning models act as conceptual, management, communication tools, to analyse, design and create a good learning process. In general, learning models are unique and different in the steps and procedures used. However, learning models have the same principles in an effort to design a quality learning programme. Learning model refers to the learning approach that will be used, including teaching objectives, stages of learning activities, learning environment, and classroom management. This means that with these learning models teachers can help students to get or acquire information, ideas, skills, ways of thinking, and expressing their own ideas. In addition, they also teach them how to learn. Finally, each model requires a different management system and learning environment. Each approach assigns different roles to students, to the physical space, and to the social system of the classroom. One of the models used in social studies learning is the social learning model, because the social learning model is one of the models that emphasises relationships with the community or other people.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on student character at IRA Medan Junior High School. The method used was quantitative descriptive correlation, with a sample of 35 students selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a closed questionnaire that measured the variables of Islamic Religious Education (X) and student character (Y). Before use, the research instruments were tested for validity and reliability, where the results showed that all items were valid and had a high level of reliability (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.7). Data analysis was conducted using normality test, R Square test, and T test to determine the significant relationship between the two variables. The results showed that PAI had a positive and significant influence on students' character, especially in the aspects of morality, discipline, responsibility, and social care. Therefore, the optimisation of Islamic Religious Education in the learning process, as well as support from schools, families, and communities, is needed to form a generation with noble character and high integrity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of digital literacy in mathematics learning at SMP Kristen Sendang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The subjects of this study were 1 mathematics teacher and 40 students in grades VII, VIII, and IX. The results of the study indicate that digital literacy has been implemented through the use of technological devices, digital-based learning media, and online learning resources. Teachers play a role in guiding students to utilize technology effectively in understanding mathematical concepts, while students demonstrate the ability to access, analyze, and utilize digital information for learning. However, several challenges such as limited access to technology and variations in students' levels of digital understanding are obstacles that need to be considered. This study concludes that the implementation of digital literacy in mathematics learning has great potential to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process, but requires support from infrastructure and increased digital skills for teachers and students.

Abstract

The process of fostering religious values ​​in shaping children's personalities can start from the time the child is born until he becomes an adult. When children are born they are introduced to the kalimah thoyyibah, then after they grow and develop into children, the first thing that must be instilled is religious values ​​related to faith, so that children believe in the existence of Allah and can know Allah with certainty (ma' rifatullah). At the same time, children are also guided about moral values, such as how to speak well, dress well, socialize well, and so on. Good qualities are also instilled in children, such as the values ​​of honesty, justice, simple living, patience and so on. This article uses a library research method. The purpose of this article is to describe the role of Islamic religious education in forming the character of early childhood. The research results show that Islamic religious education plays a role as the main foundation in forming the personality of early childhood. With the right approach, religious values ​​can guide children to become individuals who are moral, have strong character, and are able to live life with good principles.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the differential reinforcement of alternative behavior method in reducing aggressive behavior in first-grade students with intellectual disabilities at SLB Bina Insani Purwakarta. This research employs a quantitative approach using the Single Subject Research (SSR) experimental method with an A – B – A design, consisting of a baseline phase 1 (A1) of 8 sessions, an intervention phase (B) of 16 sessions, and a baseline phase 2 (A2) of 8 sessions, each session lasting 30 minutes. The subject of this research is one student with intellectual disabilities in first grade at SLB Bina Insani Purwakarta. The targeted behavior in this study is to reduce aggressive hitting behavior in the subject. Data collection was conducted through observation and documentation methods. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics presented in tables and graphs. Based on the results of the study, the use of the differential reinforcement of alternative behavior method can reduce aggressive hitting behavior in children with intellectual disabilities. The rate obtained during the baseline phase 1 (A1) was 0.23 times/minute, during the intervention phase (B) it was 0.10 times/minute, and during the baseline phase 2 (A2) it was 0.06 times/minute. Based on this data, it can be concluded that the use of the differential reinforcement of alternative behavior method can reduce aggressive behavior in children with intellectual disabilities at SLB Bina Insani Purwakarta.

Abstract

A learning model is a framework for learning activities created by teachers to help students develop their potential. The learning model covers all aspects of the presentation of learning materials, including the supporting facilities used. Choosing the right learning model can support the achievement of learning objectives in the classroom. The PAI-BP subject contains religious foundations and Islamic moral values. Therefore, a learning model is needed that can help teachers and students in developing learning activities and creativity. One of the effective learning models to be applied to the PAI-BP subject is the Make a matchlearning model. Because this learning model can create student activity in acquiring intellectual skills, attitudes, and motor skills. In addition, it can generate positive responses, can create better interactions between friends, and can instill an attitude of self-confidence and responsibility. PAI-BP learning with the Make a match learning model provides students with the opportunity to practice expressing opinions, speaking, and selfconfidence so as to create a pleasant atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the reading skills of early childhood children through ABACAGA card media in Group B SPS Mekar Karya IV Babakan Baru. Reading ability is a basic skill that plays an important role in children's cognitive development and their readiness to enter further education. Based on initial observations, it was found that many children still have difficulty in recognizing letters, composing words, and reading fluently. The lack of interesting learning methods is also a factor in children's low interest in reading. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of two cycles. Each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were children in group B at SPS Mekar Karya IV Babakan Baru. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the use of ABACAGA cards can significantly improve children's reading skills. At the pre-cycle stage, children's reading skills were still low, but after being given intervention through ABACAGA card media, there was a significant increase in letter recognition, words, and simple reading comprehension. This media has proven effective in attracting children's interest and motivating them to learn to read in a more interactive and enjoyable way. Therefore, this study provides encouragement for educators, especially PAUD teachers, in implementing more innovative learning methods. In addition, this study can also be a reference for further research in the field of early childhood literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the meaning of folk songs (Sambolo) in the cultural values of community life in Kopidil Village, Kabola Subdistrict. This research is a qualitative research method with an ethnographic approach. The methods used in this research are interviews and field observations. The results showed that the folk song ‘sambolo’ is one of the cultural heritages that is rich in meaning and values upheld by the Kopidil village community. The sambolo song contains moral messages, ethics, and local wisdom that are still relevant to the lives of Kopidil people today such as (1) Gotong royong and togetherness; (2) Gratitude and love for nature; (3) Respect for parents and ancestors; (4) Hard work and fighting spirit (5) Love and loyalty, courage, and heroism.

Abstract

This research examines the uniqueness of the History and Meaning of Traditional Houses in Moramam Village, Alorbarat Daya District, Alor Regency, The research method used is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach, which involves direct observation, in-depth interviews with traditional elders, as well as the study of related literature. The results showed that traditional houses in Moramam Village have distinctive architecture that reflects the cultural identity of the Alor community. The building structure consisting of strong wooden pillars symbolises community resilience, while the conical roof reflects the harmonious relationship between humans and nature and ancestors. In addition, the traditional house also functions as a place to hold traditional ceremonies and community deliberations. Thus, the traditional house in Moramam Village is not just a place to live, but also the centre of social and cultural life that has been passed down from generation to generation. This research is expected to be a reference in efforts to preserve traditional houses as part of national cultural wealth. In addition, this research also reveals various challenges in the preservation of traditional houses, including changes in people's lifestyles, the influence of modernisation, and the lack of attention from related parties. Therefore, collaborative efforts between the community, government, and academics are needed to maintain the sustainability of traditional houses as local cultural identities.
