Abstract

The joint business group is a strategy carried out in developing the creative economy of marine tourism in Malaumkarta. Development efforts are carried out by empowering the community through understanding the role of joint business groups. As many as 20 partners were empowered through interactive lectures and discussions. The results of the evaluation of the achievement of KUBe issues, strategies, problems and strengthening of KUBe were reached by 80%, the growth stage was reached by 75%, KUBe development was reached by 75%, work liaison system by 100%, and monitoring and evaluation published by 80% .

Abstract

The potential contained in the sea is able to create a source of welfare for humans with the ability to manage it sustainably. However, the sea can also be a source of disaster if the management of marine resources is not known and avoids disasters at sea. Community service to provide an understanding of maritime potential and the practice of safety equipment to increase knowledge and skills for partners who visit tourist attractions. Servants carried out socialization through lectures and practices using basic safety equipment to 20 Aisyiyah partners. Observations were made to determine the partner's ability to carry out the requested practice with the result that all partners were able to use basic safety tools properly. The skills acquired by partners can be applied to activities at Sea.

Abstract

Scuba diving is a high-risk sport if it is not carried out according to the correct procedure. Scuba diving can be done with various needs, both personal or professional reasons. The purpose of implementing the introduction and ability of scuba diving practice is to get to know scuba diving equipment, to know the function of each tool, to know how to install and remove equipment and to dive. The practice participants were 16 people from the medical faculty of the State University of Papua. The method used is lecture/short material, demonstration and drill/practice. The results of the practice participants are able to recognize and use basic diving equipment (masks, snorkels and fins) and scuba equipment.

Abstract

Raam Island is a village located in the city of Sorong, West Papua Province which has several business groups for FRP boat craftsmen, especially for fishing purposes. The standard manufacturing process standards applied by fiber ship craftsmen make the quality of the fabrication results different from each existing shipyard. The socialization activity was carried out by presenting materials directly to shipyard owners and FRP ship craftsmen. BKI as a state-owned company engaged in survey services and ship certification has regulations related to ship construction. In 2020, BKI issued "Guidance for Certification of FRP Fishing Vessel less than 12 m" which is very suitable for the type of ship produced by ship craftsmen on Raam Island. FRP), ship structure design & FRP ship stability, machinery installation, electrical installation, and ship safety equipment. Evaluation is given by giving pre-test and post-test methods to see the progress of participants in understanding the material given. From 10 questions given in the post test, most of the participants have shown significant improvement when compared to the pre test.

Abstract

Catfish is the main commodity in Karang Bayan Village, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. So far, catfish farmers only sell their fish in the form of fresh fish so that the income received is relatively small. Therefore, it requires assistance to increase the economic activity of these fish farmers. This service activity aims to increase the understanding of creating added value for processed fish products for mothers in Karang Bayan Village, by providing knowledge about fish processing production techniques and calculating production costs and appropriate marketing techniques in order to generate optimal income. The method used is to conduct entrepreneurship training, including lectures, questions and answers. Demonstration, practice or practice, display. The results of the training showed that the women in Karang Bayan Village were able to process catfish into fish nuggets. In addition, they also understand the production techniques of processing fish nuggets by calculating production costs and appropriate marketing techniques to optimize income through social media as a sales and promotion medium.

Abstract

Society in general uses electrical energy as a source of energy needs. Household electricity is widely used for daily necessities such as cooking, moving water, washing clothes, ironing clothes, etc. The purpose of the training carried out for Madrasah Aliyah Emeyodere Sorong City students is expected to increase knowledge and skills in the installation of household electrical installations. The method used in training is the provision of theoretical material in lectures and discussions. The practical method is also used by installing household electricity with a PLN source, one socket, and controlling lights with a switch. Evaluation of training activities used pre and post-tests. The results of the t-test analysis conducted showed that the results of the post-test were significantly different from the pre-test with an average difference of 18.42. These results indicate an increase in the evaluation carried out.

Abstract

STICOM (Smart Tilapia Community) is a program initiated by the study program. Sorong Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic Fisheries Cultivation Techniques collaboration with the Majaran Fish Seed Center. This activity expected to increase public awareness about the use of land or narrow areas to cultivate fish such as vegetables that are effective in buckets. That this will also increase the income of the residents of the Mayamuk district. Then the activity was carried out using the STICOM socialization method and the practice of making BUDIKDAMBER (fish in buckets). The socialization activity invited the residents of the Mayamuk district. After that a satisfaction survey was carried out. The results obtained are that the Mayamuk community is satisfied with the activities that have been carried out by the team and hopes that these activities will be repeated to evaluate activities.

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide understanding and knowledge to bottom gill net fishermen on technical, bio-ecological, and sustainable fisheries management aspects in Talaga Nipa Hamlet, West Seram Regency. The activity procedure applies experimental fishing methods to three mesh sizes 1.75 inch, 2.0 inch, 2.25 inch 3 inch. The construction and operation of fishing gear is carried out together with fishermen. The composition of gill net catches consisted of 7 species. Distribution size of the sample fish is mackerel (Rasterlliger kanagurta) at a size of 21.5-31.5 cm, and the dominant size of the 2.0-inch mesh is 24.5 cm, while the 2.25 and 2.5-inch meshes are 25, 5 cm. The optimum proportion caught in 2.0 inch mesh is 23.35 cm, 2.25 inch mesh is 26.27 cm, and 2.5 inch mesh is 27.62 cm. The discussion and sharing stages of the results of this analysis show that fishermen have understood the sustainability of fishery resources, which are technically related to fishing gear, bio-ecology, and management management. The results of this activity are expected to become knowledge so that the sustainability of fisheries resources in coastal areas is optimal.

Abstract

This activity aims to determine the impact of socialization in increasing knowledge and understanding of the role and benefits of mangroves. The socialization activity was attended by 10 participants using the clasical method and the field practice method. Based on the results of the evaluation, it was found that there was an increase in participants' knowledge and understanding regarding the role and benefits of mangroves from an average of 32% to 95% and could provide the right justification so it is hoped that the increase in knowledge would be accompanied by an increase in public awareness to actively participate in preserving mangrove forests.

Abstract

The spread of COVID-19 is still very high in Indonesia, especially in Eastern Indonesia. Inadequate facilities and the presence of health workers are still the toughest challenges in dealing with the spread of this virus. The low awareness of health protocols has led to various clusters of Covid-19 transmission in various places, including the orphanage. Real actions of concern at the Orphanage were carried out by educating on health protocols to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic from spreading to the residents of the Orphanage. There were 28 health protocol education participants consisting of 24 girls and 4 caregivers at the Muhammadiyah Al-Amin Orphanage Sorong. Evaluation of the results of health protocol education by observing and monitoring health conditions where residents of the orphanage have used standard masks and physical distancing. In addition, the residents of the orphanage have also behaved in washing their hands before starting activities.
