Abstract

High performance standards in the dynamic academic environment often trigger stress and burnout, threatening even the most resilient educators. This study examines the determinants of work resiliency among 149 faculty members at Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) to design a robust institutional framework. Utilizing a descriptive-correlational design with Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the research evaluates the interplay between mindset, personality traits, and stress levels. Findings demonstrate that mindset ( β = 0.313, p < .001), personality (β = 0.111, p = .013), and stress (β = -0.26, p = .002) significantly predict resiliency. Notably, stress serves as a crucial mediator in the relationship between mindset and work resiliency (β = 0.327, p < .001), suggesting that a growth-oriented mindset mitigates the negative impact of workplace pressures. Based on these empirical results, a Work Resiliency Framework is proposed, integrating strategic interventions to cultivate growth mindsets, reinforce positive personality traits, and implement systematic stress management. This framework serves as a strategic blueprint for academic institutions to sustain faculty well-being and professional excellence amidst evolving educational demands.

Abstract

The TATUM strategy (Talaqqi, Tarbiyah, Ukhuwah, and Mentoring) is a distinctive development model implemented at SMP IT Al Khair, South Kalimantan, which plays a vital role in strengthening teachers’ character while serving as a form of school branding based on Islamic values. This study aims to describe how the implementation of TATUM shapes professional, integrity-driven, and religious teachers who represent the school’s positive image. This research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, where data were collected from relevant books, journals, and scientific articles and analyzed using content analysis. The findings reveal that the TATUM strategy functions as a medium for enhancing teachers’ spiritual and professional development through talaqqi and tarbiyah, strengthening solidarity through ukhuwah, and fostering integrity through mentoring activities. With consistent implementation, this strategy successfully builds a religious, collaborative, and quality-oriented school culture while reinforcing the image of SMP IT Al Khair as an integrated Islamic institution that is excellent and characterized by strong moral values

Abstract

The ongoing environmental crisis, characterized by an increasing frequency of hydro-meteorological disasters and massive land conversion in Gorontalo, indicates a fundamental failure of the development paradigm dominated by instrumental anthropocentrism. This ethic ontologically reduces nature to an object of exploitation, contradicting the principles of sustainability. This research aims to philosophically examine the ethical framework of Gorontalo’s indigenous wisdom as an alternative for ecological disaster mitigation and to reconstruct an ethical relationship between humans and forests. Using a qualitative method with a critical philosophical analysis approach and a comparative literature study against empirical disaster data in Gorontalo, it was found that Gorontalo’s Indigenous Environmental Philosophy is based on Theocentrism as encapsulated in the Adati Hula-hula'a To Sara'a philosophy. This concept positions humans as Khalifah (trustees) who are obligated to maintain mizan (ecological balance), rejecting the claims of absolute ownership central to Anthropocentrism. . Indigenous wisdom, such as the Molapo tradition and the Payu Limo lo Lipu principle, functionally represent a form of Practical Ecocentrism that provides moral boundaries (an ethic of self-restraint) and customary spatial regulation. The failure of disaster mitigation in Gorontalo stems from ethical decadence and the abandonment of customary authority for short-term economic interests. Therefore, this study recommends the philosophical reconstruction of regional policies by integrating the Indigenous Theocentric Ethic as the ontological basis for regulation. Revitalization of customary authority to enforce Molapo is necessary to restore the integrity of the upstream ecosystem and achieve sustainable, culturally-based disaster mitigation.
