Jurnal Banua Oge Tadulako (JBOT) is a national recognized journal in the field of education. It is published twice a year (May dan November). The aim of this journal is to publish high quality studies in the areas of instruction, learning, teaching, curriculum development, learning environments, teacher education, educational technology, and educational developments. Studies may relate to any level of education, from high school to higher education. The studies can be the results of field research and literature review. JBOT, being a national accredited journal, our editorial advisory board members are from various countries around the world. The manuscripts sent to the Journal are always reviewed by two members of the Editorial Board (double blind peer review), and in some cases, if necessary, by another member of the Board. Depending on the evaluation reports of the members of the Editorial Board, articles are published or not. Manuscript evaluation process takes approximately three months. The authors are responsible for the errors, if any, in their published articles. The articles need to be not published elsewhere previously.

Abstract

The background of this research is the learning process of students in science content about digestive organs and their functions in animals through media images, based on observations there is one of the children's problems, namely the lack of interest in learning when the learning process takes place. The purpose of this learning improvement research is to improve students' learning outcomes in science content about digestive organs and their functions in animals through media images in class V SDN Damit 2, Batu Ampar District. The implementation of this learning improvement research was carried out from October to December 2018 semester one of the 2018-2019 school year with learning improvement procedures covering the stages of planning, implementing, observing/observing and reflecting. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at SDN Damit 2, Batu Ampar District. The number of students is 21 students consisting of 10 boys and 11 girls with each design of learning improvement activities, namely: Draft of Revised and Reflected lesson plan cycles. From the results of the learning activities that have been carried out for two cycles, and based on all the discussions and analyzes that have been carried out, it can be concluded that learning through the media of images can improve the learning outcomes of class V students in science content about digestive organs and their functions in animals and learning is in accordance with the steps learning step. This can be seen from the results of student learning, which can be shown by the increasing percentage of learning completeness, namely 57.14 Y9 in the first cycle and increased in the second cycle to 85.71. Based on these results, it can be concluded that learning through media images can improve student learning outcomes in science content about digestive organs and their functions in animals in class V SDN Damit 2 in 2 cycles

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of problems, namely the low learning outcomes of students in the field of mathematics studies in calculating the product of two numbers. The purpose of this study was to identify student learning outcomes through the help of concrete matchsticks in class II SD Negeri 16 Padang Magek. The form of this research is classroom action research which consists of 2 cycles. The instrument in this study is a test of learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were students of class II SDN 16 Padang Magek, totaling 30 people. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that in the first cycle, the average student learning outcomes were 56.33%, an increase in the second cycle, namely 83.33%. Based on the results of the research conducted, it is concluded that learning using concrete matchsticks can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat miskonsepsi pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sidoan Kab.Parigi Moutong. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan persentase. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes diagnostik pilihan ganda tiga tingkat (Three-tier). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat paham konsep siswa diperoleh sebanyak 33%. Tidak Paham Konsep diperoleh sebanyak 28%. Miskonsepsi pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sidoan diperoleh sebanyak 40%. Kategori miskonsepsi tertinggi terdapat sub konsep Sistem dan Lingkungan sebesar 12,5%. Persentase miskonsepsi berdasarkan item soal, tingkat miskonsepsi tertinggi terdapat pada item soal nomor 28 dengan persentase 67,5%. Sedangkan yang terendah terdapat pada item soal nomor 1,4, dan 14 dengan persentase terendah sebesar 10%-12,5%. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menjadi sumber informasi mengenai tingkat miskonsepsi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat miskonsepsi siswa menggunakan tes diagnostik three-tier pada materi laju reaksi kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Palu Kota Palu. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan September 2020 sampai bulan februari 2021. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Siswa kelas XI MIA 5 SMA Negeri 7 Palu tahun ajaran 2020/2021 sebanyak 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada tiga tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap akhir dengan menggunakan instrument tes diagnostic three-tier. Hasil penelitian maka ditemukan miskonsepsi siswa pada sub bab laju reaksi dengan prsentase sebesar 74,07% dalam kategori tingkat miskonsepsi tinggi, sub bab Teori tumbukkan dengan presentase sebesar 62,96% dalam kategori miskonsepsi tinggi, sub bab orde reaksi dengan prsentase sebesar 62,96% dalam kategori miskonsepsi tinggi, sub bab teori tetapan laju reaksi dengan presentase sebesar 48,14% dalam kategori miskonsepsi sedang.Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menjadi sumber informasi mengenai tingkat miskonsepsi siswa.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan TIK sebagai sumber dan penunjang pembelajaran dimungkinkan melalui pemanfaatan perangkat komputasi sebagai sumber kreativitas dan penunjang pembelajaran. Pemanfaatan sumber dan media tersebut diharapkan dapat merangsang pikiran, perasaan, minat dan perhatian siswa sehingga proses pembelajaran berjalan dengan baik. Selain itu, proses pembelajaran akan lebih efektif karena pemanfaatan TIK sebagai sumber dan media pembelajaran mengatasi kendala dalam proses komunikasi antara guru dan siswa. Selain itu, proses pembelajaran akan lebih efektif karena penggunaan TIK sebagai media pembelajaran dapat mengatasi hambatan dalam proses komunikasi antara guru dan siswa seperti hambatan fisiologis, psikologis, budaya dan lingkungan sosial. Jenis media dan sumber belajar berbasis TIK lainnya yang dapat digunakan guru sekolah dasar selama pembelajaran meliputi (1) komputer, (2) proyektor LCD, (3) Internet, (4) CD pembelajaran, (5) email dan ( 6) presentasi PowerPoint. Dalam hal peningkatan penguasaan TI guru, beberapa di antaranya dapat dicapai dengan mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan atau seminar TI, peningkatan sarana dan prasarana berbasis TI untuk mendukung dukungan akademik, selain itu juga dapat menyelenggarakan studi banding dengan sekolah yang dianggap lebih maju di bidang TIK.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to find out the effectiveness of the shadowing technique in teaching the English pronunciation to grade seven students of SMP Negeri 1 Mepanga in the academic year 2022/2023. The population of this pre-experimental research was grade seven students of SMP Negeri 1 Mepanga which consisted of 32 students of the VII B class chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by using a pronunciation test conducted before and after the treatment, or pre-test and post-test. The data was analyzed by using simple statistics. The result shows that there was a significant improvement of the students’ pronunciation. It was proved by the result of the t-counted (16.67) which was greater than the t-table (1.696) in the significance degree, (0.05). The conclusion of this research indicated that the shadowing technique is effective and provides a significant effect to develop the student’s pronunciation. Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deksriptif-kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeksrirpsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 3 Poso pada materi hukum dasar ilmu kimia di masa pandemi covid-19. subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 33 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes esai berupa soal uraian kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi hukum dasar ilmu kimia sebanyak 8 butir soal dan juga menggunakan pedoman wawancara tahap berpikir kreatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa persentase indikator kelancaran 43,2% dan indiaktor  keluwesan 43,7% berada pada kategori kurang kreatif, persentase  indikator kebaruan 26,5% dan  indikator elaborasi 15,2% berada pada kategori sangat kurang kreatif, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA Negeri 3 Poso Kelas X MIPA berada pada kategori kurang kreatif, siswa perlu diberi motivasi belajar dan dibiasakan untuk mengerjakan soal-soal yang dapat menuntut berpikir kreatif pada saat pembelajaran, sehingga siswa terlatih dalam berpikir kreatif dan menghubungkan teori dengan kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the most dominant types of errors made by students in transforming active English sentences into passive sentences and to find out the causes of students making errors. The subjects of this study were class XII students of SMAN 1 Bungku Tengah. The samples are 24 students were taken using convenience sampling. This study used qualitative research and data collection using tests items and interviews. The data were identified, classified, and analyzed based on surface strategy taxonomy of Dulay’s theory, namely error of omission with percentage 25,13%, the error of addition with percentage 6,81%, the error of misformation with percentage 65,45% which was established as the dominant error, and error of misordering with percentage 2,62%. Based on the results of interviews, the causes of errorness were, 1) Students did not understand the formula according to tenses, 2) Students were still confused about the use of "to be", 3) Students still lacked vocabulary.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the teaching English process during e-learning classes at SMP Negeri 6 Palu. This research was conducted through a descriptive qualitative research design in which the results are transcribed and described. The subjects of this research were three English teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Palu. This research used interviews to collect the data. Based on the research findings, the teaching English process during e-learning classes was first the teacher preparing before e-learning classes, the teacher preparing media such as modules, laptops, attendance lists, materials to be taught and applications for online teaching such as Zoom, Google Meet and Whatsaap. Second, the teacher finds a way to make students active during e-learning classes. The teacher provides activities that can make students active such as giving projects video, asking students to retell stories, and doing questions and answers. Third, in teaching English during e-learning classes, the teachers used videos, pictures, songs, and games to convey the material depending on what material will be taught by the teachers. Fourth, problem faced by the teachers during e-learning classes, some of the teacher's problems when teaching English online, only a few students take a zoom class, and some students do not have communication tools such as cellphones or laptops. Thus, as much as possible, the teacher provides a solution to the problems.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of the class Xa student learning model as an experimental class using the guided inquiry method with the help of simple practical tools. This type of research is experimental research using pretest-posttest control. The sample in this study was 28 in the experimental class and 27 in the control class at SMA Negeri 1 Sausu. Testing the research data using statistical analysis of one-party t-test with prerequisite test with normality test and homogeneity test. The results of the analysis of the data showed that both the experimental class and the control class had data that were normally distributed. Based on the homogeneity test, it can be concluded that there is no difference in variance between the control class and the experimental class, so the data is homogeneous.
