Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of the coach’s interpersonal communication in shaping motivation and enhancing the performance of Lokapala Esports athletes in North Sumatra Province. A qualitative approach was employed using in-depth interviews and observations involving the coach and six athletes from diverse ethnic backgrounds, namely Batak, Tamil, Chinese, Malay, and Javanese. The findings indicate that the coach's intensive interpersonal communication—both technical and motivational—significantly impacts the team’s enthusiasm and coordination. Interactions grounded in empathy, emotional closeness, and openness help create a conducive training environment. This study also highlights how cultural diversity within the team does not pose a barrier but instead becomes a strength through the coach’s inclusive and relationship-oriented communication strategies.

Abstract

Introduction: Scabies is a skin disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei var hominis, and products. In developing countries, the highest incidence is in school-age children and adolescents. Development is influenced by low socio-economic conditions, poor hygiene, and a lack of knowledge about scabies. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the profile of scabies in outpatients at Awal Bros A. Yani Pekanbaru hospital. The benefits make it easier for health workers to educate and treat scabies patients. Methods: This is a retrospective descriptive study with medical record data for the period January-July 2024. The total population is 350 patients. Inclusions were new scabies patients diagnosed. Exclusions were patients' secondary diagnoses. Data variables were age, gender, symptoms, source of transmission, location, morphology, and management. Results: total sample was 133 patients. The most common age was early adolescence (24.8%), gender was male (52.6%), the largest source of infection was at school (54.9%), symptom was itching at night with rash (78.2 %), the location was found mostly in the upper and lower extremities (48.9%), morphology were papules and excoriations (41.4%), the most common treatment was combination of permethrin 5%, antihistamines, topical antibiotics (42.9%).

Abstract

The use of electrical energy from year to year is increasing, but the source of electrical energy has limitations. This electrical energy crisis must be addressed immediately, one of which is using environmentally friendly and renewable fuels. One of the environmentally friendly sources of electricity is the fruit of the mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa). The purpose of writing this paper is to investigate the benefits of the crown of the gods as an alternative source of electrical energy. The subject of this research is the crown of the god fruit with the criteria that the fruit is ripe which is marked with a red color which will be used as an alternative source of electrical energy to replace batteries. In addition to its medicinal properties, the results of this study indicate that the crown of the god fruit contains alkaloid compounds (bases) that can generate electricity. The electric voltage generated from the four pieces of the crown of the god can reach a voltage of 1.8 V. Meanwhile, the current generated from one crown of the god is very small and only produces a voltage of 0.9 V. The use of the crown of the gods as a source of electrical energy has a number of advantages in addition to some of the disadvantages it has. Based on the results of research on the power source from the crown of the god, it can be concluded that the hypothesis that there are benefits of the crown of the god as an alternative source of electrical energy is acceptable.

Abstract

The doctrine of the Imago Dei is a fundamental Christian concept regarding human beings, which can be generally divided into three categories: capacity, function, and relationality, which distinguishes them from other creation. Capacity concerns the inherent abilities of humans, such as reason, emotion, and will. Function concerns humans as social beings and as stewards of themselves, others, and other creations. Relationality addresses the relationship with God as the source of life, both physical and spiritual. In relation to other creations, the Bible teaches that humans are noble creatures, given the image of God and stewardship over nature and other creations. Human dignity and worth are due to the image of God within them. This is a crucial concept for human dignity and human rights. In John Wesley's doctrine, man as the Imago Dei consists of a natural image; a political image; and a moral image. The natural image of God in man includes: free will, intellect, and eternity. God gave man free will, but this free will is a responsible free will, unlike the free will of animals, where humans can distinguish between right and wrong, while animals cannot. Therefore, human freedom of will demands responsibility. Then, humans are given an intellect that exceeds that of other creations of God on earth. Humans with their intellect (reason) can understand the truth.

Abstract

Sekolah Swasta Nila Harapan is an educational institution that also feels the importance of the development of such technology, especially in the library section, where the part of library must provide information about the book data, including in the borrowing of books in libraries that currently still use the manual system in the processing of the information system of libraries. Based on the need for faster data processing, it is necessary to design a mobile-based library information system. The result and discussion of the school library information system design is hybrid which means the system is built using the website used by the administrator and mobile used by Sekolah Swasta Nila Harapan. With the presence of a mobile-based library information system at Sekolah Swasta Nila Harapan, it can make it easier for officers to make book lists without having to make a book list physically, and also facilitates officers when carrying out the process of fines such as late return of books, as well as fines when the books are damaged or lost by students.

Abstract

Church planting represents a central dimension of the church’s mission, particularly within the Indonesian Methodist Church. This study investigates the correlation between Spirit-filled servants of God and the success of church planting in District 3, Region I. A quantitative research design was employed, in which data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 140 respondents. The responses were analyzed using correlation analysis to examine the relationship between the empowerment of the Holy Spirit and the effectiveness of pioneering new congregations. The findings reveal that the Holy Spirit plays a decisive role in the church planting process. Servants of God who are filled with the Holy Spirit demonstrate greater resilience, vision, and spiritual authority, all of which significantly enhance their capacity to establish new churches. The study concludes that spiritual empowerment is not merely supportive but essential in ensuring the effectiveness of church planting efforts. Moreover, the results suggest that pastoral leadership rooted in the Holy Spirit provides both theological and practical strength for overcoming challenges in mission fields. This research underscores the importance of integrating spiritual formation with practical ministry strategies, offering valuable insights for church leaders and theological institutions in fostering sustainable growth. Abstract

This study seeks to examine the pivotal role of pastoral management competencies and mission strategies in enhancing the quality of ministry as a means of fostering church growth. The research employs a qualitative method, utilizing library research to obtain the required data and information. The findings indicate that the application of fundamental management principles within the church, namely planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling, positively contributes to the improvement of pastoral ministry quality, positioning the pastor as a spiritual leader whose role is crucial to the effectiveness of church services. Furthermore, effective pastoral management encourages active participation among congregational members in fulfilling the church’s calling of fellowship, witness, and service, thereby advancing church growth in terms of quality, quantity, and organic.

Abstract

Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MTC) is a type of thyroid cancer originating from C cells, while Poorly Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma (PDTC) is a more aggressive form with poor differentiation. The transformation between these two types can affect prognosis and treatment strategies. This study analyzes an 18-year-old female patient presenting with neck swelling and difficulty swallowing. The initial diagnosis of MTC was established through fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB), and after surgical resection, histopathological analysis was conducted to evaluate any transformation to PDTC. Histopathological findings revealed MTC areas with high calcitonin-producing C cells. However, there were also areas exhibiting characteristics of PDTC, including increased mitotic activity, necrosis, and loss of calcitonin expression. This transformation indicates a shift from a more indolent cancer form to a more aggressive one. The transformation from MTC to PDTC in a young patient underscores the importance of careful monitoring and thorough histopathological evaluation. Appropriate management and understanding of these changes are crucial for improving treatment outcomes. Further studies are needed to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying this transformation.
