Abstract

This study examines Matthew 5:3 as a theological critique of the capitalist notion of happiness. Through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates biblical exegesis, semantic analysis of the Greek text, socio-economic philosophy, and contextual theology, the research argues that the Beatitude challenges the reduction of happiness to material possession. The Greek expression ‘makarioi hoi ptōchoi tō pneumatic’ demonstrates that “blessedness” is not simply an emotional or psychological state but a theological condition rooted in radical dependence on God. In contrast, capitalist thought as articulated by Adam Smith, Max Weber, Milton Friedman, and Ayn Rand—defines happiness in terms of wealth accumulation, market freedom, and individual self-interest, which in practice generates inequality, alienation, and systemic exploitation. As a counter-narrative, Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, and Antonio Gramsci emphasize happiness as inseparable from social justice, solidarity, and the liberation from structural oppression. Similarly, theological voices from both liberal (Schleiermacher, Bultmann) and orthodox traditions (Chrysostom, Barth) reject the commodification of happiness, affirming instead that authentic joy is realized in communion with God and others. Employing Derrida’s theory of deconstruction, the study highlights how Matthew 5:3 subverts capitalist hierarchies by declaring the poor and marginalized as truly blessed. The findings suggest that this Beatitude should be understood not only as a spiritual affirmation but also as an ethical-political resource for critiquing modern systems of economic domination.

Abstract

The continuous growth of esports as a technology-driven competitive activity has increased the demand for professional team management, particularly in assigning suitable roles to athletes based on their individual skills. One of the major challenges faced by coaches is determining athlete roles objectively, as this process is often influenced by subjective judgment and lacks support from systematic data analysis. To address this issue, this study aims to develop a decision support system for determining esports athlete roles in North Sumatra Province by utilizing machine learning approaches. This research applies several classification methods, namely K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Naive Bayes, and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The dataset used in this study consists of performance data for esports athletes that have undergone preprocessing stages and are divided into training and testing sets. The evaluation of model performance is conducted using standard classification assessment metrics to compare the effectiveness of each algorithm. The findings show that the KNN and SVM algorithms are better at classifying esports athletes' roles than the Naive Bayes algorithm. These two methods yield more stable and dependable results, rendering them more appropriate for facilitating decision-making processes concerning athlete role assignment. This study is expected to provide practical support for coaches and relevant stakeholders in making objective and data-driven decisions regarding the determination of esports athlete roles. Furthermore, future research can enhance the proposed system by increasing the amount of data and exploring other machine learning techniques to improve overall system performance

Abstract

The Community Health Center is a primary healthcare facility that provides medical services to the public. However, at the Munte Community Health Center, the patient queuing process is still carried out manually by recording names in a registration book, which leads to various issues such as long queues, disorderliness, and delays in service delivery. This study aims to design a web-based queue information system to improve service efficiency, facilitate the registration process, and streamline patient calling. The development method used is the waterfall model, which includes the stages of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results of the study produced a queue information system that enables digital patient registration, patient data management, and automatic patient calling based on sequence, with access through a local network and an interface designed to be simple for staff to use. Testing shows that the system functions well, reduces patient waiting time, and improves service flow. Thus, this web-based queue information system is expected to support the provision of more effective, efficient, and comfortable healthcare services at the Munte Community Health Center, as well as promote the realization of digital transformation in healthcare.

Abstract

Urinalysis is a basic test for patients with urinary tract infections (UTIs). Ninety-five percent of UTIs are caused by E. coli. The incidence rate of UTIs in Indonesia among adolescents aged 10-18 years is 35%-42%, and among young adults aged 19-22 years, it is 27%-33%. UTI diagnosis is confirmed by urine culture, where a bacterial count of > 10⁵ colonies per milliliter (CFU/ml) is detected. The urinalysis shows leukocyturia and a positive nitrite test. Bacteria capable of converting nitrate to nitrite include Escherichia coli, Enterobacter, Citrobacter, Klebsiella, and Proteus species. This study used an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design and retrospective approach. The study sample consisted of UTI patients who underwent leukocyte, nitrite, and urine culture tests recorded in the medical records of the Clinical Pathology Department at Dr. Pirngadi General Hospital in Medan. Out of 60 urine culture samples, 12 samples showed no bacterial growth. The results showed that the majority of UTI patients were female, totaling 36 individuals (60%), compared to 24 males (40%). The age group of 51-70 years (54%) had the highest number of UTI patients. Positive leukocytes experienced UTI (68.8%) compared to negative leukocytes (p-value 0.001). Compared to negative nitrites, 58.3% of positive nitrites had a UTI (p-value 0.001). In this study, the most common bacteria causing UTI were Klebsiella pneumoniae (43%), Enterococcus faecalis (17%), and Escherichia coli (8%). In 60 urine culture samples, the most common bacteria causing UTIs were Klebsiella pneumoniae (43%), Enterococcus faecalis (17%), and Escherichia coli (8%). Leukocytes were positive in 68.8% of cases of UTI compared to negative leukocytes, with a p-value of 0.001. Nitrites were positive in 58.3% of cases of UTI compared to negative nitrites, with a p-value of 0.001.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate student satisfaction with the Spotify music streaming application by examining two primary factors: service quality and music content. Using a quantitative survey approach, data were collected from university students who actively use Spotify for digital music consumption. The results show that most people who answered the survey (66.7%) think Spotify is easy to use and (70.4%) think it looks good. Also, 72.2% of users said that Spotify's features make their listening experience better, and 64.8% said that the audio quality is good. However, a notable proportion of respondents still experience errors or disturbances while using the application (57.4%). 57.4% of respondents think that music recommendations are usually good for their moods, and 55.6% think that being able to find new songs through recommendations is helpful. Overall satisfaction levels reached only 50%, indicating that Spotify has not fully met user expectations. These results indicate that there must be improvements in service quality, system stability, and recommendation accuracy to enhance overall user satisfaction among students.

Abstract

Background: Multidrug-resistant (MDR) tuberculosis (TB) is a global challenge. Tuberculous spondylitis (Pott's disease) is the most devastating extrapulmonary manifestation. Cases of MDR pulmonary TB with vertebral involvement and severe neurological complications require aggressive and coordinated management. Case Presentation: We report the case of Mr. RP, a 22-year-old man diagnosed with MDR pulmonary TB and MDR tuberculous spondylitis of the thoracic-lumbar spine (Th3-Th4). The patient presented with progressive upper motor neuron (UMN) paraparesis (motor 2/5), back pain (since 7 months), hypoesthesia around Th5-6, and autonomic dysfunction (urinary/defecatory disorders). The diagnosis of MDR TB was confirmed by TCM sputum (MTB detected, Rif Res) and confirmed by Rif Res findings in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Thoracolumbar MRI showed compression and destruction of Th3-Th4 vertebral bodies, kyphotic alignment, paravertebral masses, and Th3 spinal cord edema. The patient also had subclinical hypothyroidism and hyperuricemia. Management: The patient was given a long-term treatment plan for MDR-TB that included Bedaquiline, Levofloxacin, Line One week after initiation of anti-TB treatment, a decompressive laminectomy, posterior fusion, and biopsy were performed on November 7, 2024. Results: At the 6-month follow-up (April 28, 2025), the patient demonstrated dramatic neurological improvement, able to walk independently with full muscle strength (Motor 5/5) in all extremities. Conclusion: This case underscores the importance of early diagnosis of disseminated MDR-TB and the success of a combined therapeutic approach, namely immediate surgical decompression followed by aggressive and appropriate MDR-TB therapy, in achieving optimal functional recovery.

Abstract

The increased nutritional requirements of adolescent girls are associated with rapid physical growth and development, along with lifestyle changes and eating behaviors that influence nutrient intake. Adolescence is a critical period that is highly susceptible to nutritional problems, particularly anemia. Data from Riskesdas 2018 indicate that the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls in Indonesia reached 48.9%. This study sought to evaluate the effect of counseling disseminated via leaflet media on the knowledge of adolescent girls concerning blood supplement tablets at SMK Dharma Patra, Pangkalan Susu District, in 2024. The study employed a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest approach, involving 79 female students in grade ten selected through stratified random sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test. The findings showed an increase in the average knowledge score from 54.05 (SD 8.810) prior to counseling to 87.59 (SD 7.065) after counseling, with a mean improvement of 33.54 points. The statistical test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that leaflet-based counseling had a significant effect on enhancing adolescent girls’ knowledge for anemia prevention. Therefore, the use of leaflet media is recommended for schools and local health centers as an effective tool in nutrition education programs.
