Abstract

Mouthwash is an aqueous concentration of antibacterial solution that is used for fighting oral microbes, fighting oral infections, cleansing, for eliminate fresh mouth odor and antiseptic. Mouthwash plays an important role in oral hygiene of an individual, mouthwash helps to alleviate the symptoms of gingivitis, inflamed gums and can also be relied upon to destroy bacterial pathogens. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of chemical mouthwash and herbal mouthwash. chemical mouthwash and bay flower kombucha herbal mouthwash for oral health. and oral health. This research is a quantitative research with the method of comparative or comparison method. This checking process is carried out by gargling using clean water, then the water from the mouthwash is stored in a container to observe the bacteria contained in it. The use of chemical mouthwash and herbal kombucha bay flower will be effective depending on a person's dental or oral problems. Chemical mouthwash is more effective for people who experience bad breath problems because it can refresh the mouth. Meanwhile, bay flower kombucha herbal mouthwash is effective for overcoming toothache or infection problems that occur in a person. That occurs in a person. Mouthwash preparations made from solution gives an optimal effect in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.

Abstract

The novel Belenggu is considered to have received an award in the form of the best which was published during the new poet era. This paper shows the self-concept of prostitutes in the novel Belenggu. The self-concept of a handful of prostitutes is a feeling of fear of accepting the public's perspective on themselves who are lacking due to experiences in the dark past that make them no longer optimal in living their lives. This research is based on the theory of symbolic interactionism which aims to recognize self-concept through social reactions in the form of a community paradigm in denying prostitutes. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Based on the analysis of the Belenggu novel, it can be seen that Rohayah is experiencing social construction so that she is emotionally disturbed because she feels that she is always oppressed by society's stigma about her. The bitter experience he experienced as a Dutch nyai gave rise to a bad self-concept but he had to stay strong to pick up the happiness of his life. Regulating self-concept is not easy, especially when there is discrimination in society that considers prostitutes to be unworthy of respect.

Abstract

Berpikir dapat diartikan menggunakan akal budi untuk mempertimbangkan dan memutuskan sesuatu, menimbang-nimbang dalam ingatan. Proses berpikir merupakan proses kompleks dan tidak dapat dilihat secara langsung bagaimana otak bekerja dan informasi di olah. Informasi yang diterima melalui alat indera akan dipersepsikan oleh bagian-bagian yang berfungsi secara khusus. Model pembelajaran pemrosesan informasi adalah model pembelajaran yang menitikberatkan pada aktivitas yang terkait dengan kegiatan proses atau pengolahan informasi untuk meningkatkan kapabilitas siswa melalui proses pembelajaran. Model pemrosesan informasi ini didasari oleh teori belajar kognitif (Piaget) dan berorientasi pada kemampuan peserta didik memproses informasi yang dapat memperbaiki kemampuannya. Abstract

The relationship between business and politics in Indonesia has a long and complex history that affects various aspects of social and economic life. This journal explores this relationship with a focus on contemporary issues such as corruption, economic policy, and environmental regulation. Amid rapid political and economic changes, the interaction between the business and political sectors often catalyzes policies that benefit certain interests, frequently at the expense of public interests. Through literature analysis and case studies, this journal aims to identify the impacts of corruption involving entrepreneurs and public officials, challenges in forming fair economic policies, and the implications of business lobbying on environmental regulation. The study finds that corruption undermines public trust and hinders economic growth, economic policies often favor large corporations over small and medium enterprises, and environmental regulations are frequently weakened by the influence of big business. The conclusions and recommendations provided are expected to offer new insights for researchers, policymakers, and the general public in efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in the interaction between business and politics in Indonesia.

Abstract

In order to prepare teachers and next generation for twenty first century can act based on their higher order thinking skills, teacher, students need have relevant  experience. In Biology instruction, it seems needed habits of higher order thinking in solving problem in processes such as inquiry based learning. Through inquiry, the students will be able to develop science and intellectual skills necessary to solve problem and find out the answer to fulfill their curiosity. A descriptive study was carried out to investigate students habits of mind after having experience in IBL in certain topics, among others were on Biodiversity topic. Habits of mind with 16 categories, meanwhile IBL with six levels of inquiry (discovery learning, interactive demonstration, inquiry lesson, inquiry lab, real world application and hypothetical inquiry). Qualitative method in this research was conducted with the use of questionnaire on Habits of mind and individual interview toward students. Research results show that students Habits of mind is in average category, the IBL can facilitate students higher order thinking experience, and most of the students agree to lengthen the implementation of the IBL for other Biology topics so as to be able to become good thinkers in near future.  Key words: analysis, student’habit, inquiry based learning

Abstract

Used tire waste is a serious environmental problem that requires creative handling. In Ketawangrejo Village, the accumulation of used tire waste has a negative impact on the environment, so an effective recycling strategy is needed. This research uses the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) learning method to process used tire waste into chairs, with the aim of reducing waste, improving technical and artistic skills, and producing products with high selling value. The Research and Development (RnD) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model was applied in this research. The results show that chairs made from used tire waste received very high marks in idea, creativity, appearance and usefulness, with an average score above 86%. By integrating the STEAM method, this research succeeded in overcoming the problem of used tire waste and created a chair that is functional, aesthetic, environmentally friendly and economical, and was well received by respondents.

Abstract

The availability of clean water and sanitation is a very important aspect for society because its presence is essential in various daily activities, so its quality must be prioritized. However, in reality this is still not fully fulfilled and contributes to public health problems. Therefore, this research was conducted to investigate problems related to the provision of clean water and sanitation in the context of sustainable development, as well as ways to overcome these challenges. The method used in this research is qualitative, by collecting primary data through literature studies from various sources such as books, scientific journals, articles, the internet and other literature. Researchers will conduct a systematic review of several recent journals published between 2019 and 2024, to be used as references in developing teaching materials. Efforts to overcome clean water and sanitation problems are part of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which then become the basis for implementing national targets related to clean water and sanitation.

Abstract

Rokok sampai saat ini masih menuai berbagai berdebatan yang cukup ketat mengenai kehalalan dan keharamannya dalam perspektif Islam. Pada dasarnya segala sesuatu yang Allah cipatakan adalah halal, kecuali memang yang diharamkan secara langsung dalam dalil-dalil nash dan syariat. Dalam artikel ini penulis akan mencoba menyebutkan beberapa kontroversi yang ada terhadap pandangan ulama melalui fatwa-fatwa yang dikeluarkan mengenai hukum rokok dan merokok bagi seorang muslim. Setelah melakukan analisis, maka penulis menemukan bahwa sebagian besar ulama pada dasarnya mengharamkan rokok. Hal tersebut dilatar belakangi dan didasari pada dampak yang diakibatkan oleh rokok tersebut, mengingat rokok memiliki dampak yang sangat berbahaya bagi kesehatan tubuh seseorang. Selain itu, merokok merupakan sebuah perbuatan yang sia-sia dan termasuk kepada kegiatan yang foya-foya dengan mengmaburkan uang untuk suatu hal yang tidak ada kebermanfaatan.

Abstract

This study examines the influence and effectiveness of Indonesian labor law in enhancing health and safety guarantees for workers in the workplace. Labor law, as regulated in Law No. 13 of 2003 on Manpower and various related regulations, plays a significant role in protecting workers' rights, including occupational health and safety (OHS). Using a literature review method with an empirical juridical approach, this research analyzes the impact of these regulations' implementation and the effectiveness of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) in companies, particularly at PT. GPI. Despite the proper implementation of regulations, workplace accidents still frequently occur due to the lack of worker awareness and compliance with OHS rules. In conclusion, effective enforcement of labor laws requires synergy between existing regulations, worker awareness, supporting facilities, and active community involvement. Recommendations include increasing worker awareness and compliance through regular training, safety campaigns, and developing incentive programs and periodic inspections by the government. Collaboration between the government, companies, labor unions, and the community is expected to improve occupational safety standards in Indonesia, creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between peer social support and academic stress in working students. The respondents in this research were 100 students who worked in Makassar City. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale, namely the peer social support scale and the academic stress scale. Hypothesis testing used Spearman Rank correlation analysis with the help of SPSS 25. The results showed that there was a relationship between social support from peers and academic stress in working students with a significance value of 0.006 < 0.05. This means that the higher the social support from peers, the lower the academic stress for working students.
