Abstract

Perubahan digital telah memberikan peluang besar bagi pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM), termasuk ibu rumah tangga yang ingin berwirausaha dari rumah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan teknologi digital sebagai sarana pemberdayaan ekonomi ibu rumah tangga di Desa Kampung Baru, Pulau Galang Baru. Fokus utama penelitian adalah membantu ibu rumah tangga memperluas jangkauan usahanya, meningkatkan daya saing, serta mengoptimalkan penjualan produk melalui media sosial. Metode yang digunakan mencakup wawancara, observasi lapangan, dan pelatihan digital marketing yang dilakukan dalam bentuk kolaborasi antara akademisi dan komunitas lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial seperti Facebook, Instagram, dan WhatsApp Business sangat efektif dalam membantu pelaku usaha rumah tangga mempromosikan produk mereka secara lebih luas. Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan dalam membuat konten digital, mengelola akun bisnis, serta menjangkau konsumen baru secara online. Namun demikian, penelitian juga menemukan beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan akses terhadap perangkat teknologi, jaringan internet yang tidak stabil dan rendahnya literasi digital. Untuk itu, pelatihan yang berkelanjutan serta dukungan dari pemerintah dan institusi pendidikan sangat dibutuhkan guna menciptakan ekosistem wirausaha berbasis digital yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini penulis memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan model pemberdayaan UMKM berbasis media sosial yang dapat diterapkan di wilayah kepulauan lainnya, khususnya daerah tertinggal, terdepan, dan terluar (3T).

Abstract

Transformasi digital memberikan peluang strategis bagi pengembangan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah(UMKM), termasuk usaha yang dikelola oleh ibu rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkankapasitas pemasaran digital ibu rumah tangga di Desa Kampung Baru, Pulau Galang Baru, melalui pemanfaatanmedia sosial. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan perangkat, jaringan internet yang tidak stabil, sertarendahnya literasi digital. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam penguatan model pemberdayaan UMKM berbasismedia sosial yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah kepulauan dan daerah tertinggal, terdepan, dan terluar (3T)

Abstract

High-risk work environments require a robust safety system and training tailored to on-site conditions. At PT AllLifting Indonesia in Batam, various workplace hazards were identified as insufficiently managed, including theabsence of designated pedestrian pathways, exposed electrical cables, and the use of unprotected equipment. Thisstudy aims to enhance workers’ understanding and skills in identifying and managing occupational risks througha contextualized intermediate-level occupational safety and health (OSH) training program based on real casestudies. The method employed was a community service-based participatory approach involving directobservation, structured interviews, and on-site training activities. Risk identification was conducted usingHIRADC and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) instruments. The results revealed a significant improvement inparticipant comprehension, with the average pre-test score rising from 56% to 84% in the post-test. Participantsalso demonstrated the ability to propose relevant risk control measures based on actual field conditions. Trainingwas delivered through a combination of demonstrations, group discussions, and hands-on exercises using hazardidentification tools at the worksite. Beyond improving knowledge, the program cultivated collective awareness ofthe importance of implementing proper safety procedures. The company responded positively and expressedcommitment to integrating the training recommendations into internal policies. The findings suggest that OSHtraining rooted in real-world data and field-based cases is more effective in fostering safety awareness thanconventional theoretical approaches, and may serve as a replicable training model for similar industrial sectors.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the national economy, yet tax literacy amongMSMEs remains low. This community service activity aims to improve MSME tax understanding throughcommunicative and hands-on education in Kampung Tua Teluk Mata Ikan, Batam. Implementation methodsincluded observation, preparation of materials based on the latest regulations (PP 55/2022 and PMK 164/2023),interactive outreach, tax reporting simulations, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. The activity resultsshowed a significant increase in participants' understanding of tax obligations. A down-to-earth, non-intimidatingapproach proved effective in creating a comfortable learning environment. The involvement of lecturers andstudents as facilitators also strengthened emotional bonds with participants. Challenges such as limited revenuerecording were addressed by providing simple tools. This program not only impacted tax literacy but alsoencouraged changes in attitudes toward voluntary tax compliance. These findings underscore the importance ofsynergy between universities and the community in building an inclusive and sustainable tax culture.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in driving economic growth, particularly inBatam City, which serves as a key trade and industrial hub. Despite their potential, many MSMEs struggle withmarket expansion due to limited access and knowledge of digital marketing. This study aims to examineempowerment strategies for MSMEs through the digitalization of e-commerce marketing to enhance theircompetitiveness and economic contribution. The approach includes structured training, mentoring, and technicalassistance to help MSMEs leverage e-commerce platforms, social media, and digital marketing techniqueseffectively. The training is conducted both in-person and online to ensure broad participation and maximizelearning outcomes. Through this initiative, MSMEs are equipped with essential digital skills that enable them toreach a wider customer base, streamline operations, and boost revenue. Findings from this study indicate thatdigitalizing e-commerce marketing significantly enhances MSME visibility, operational efficiency, and financialperformance. Key success factors include improving digital literacy among business owners, increasinggovernment support, and fostering collaborations with e-commerce platforms. Addressing these factors ensuresthat MSMEs can successfully integrate into the digital economy and remain competitive in an increasinglytechnology-driven market. A sustainable digital transformation strategy is essential, emphasizing continuousdigital skill development, access to necessary technological resources, and the establishment of a robust businessecosystem. By adopting e-commerce and digital marketing solutions, MSMEs in Batam City are expected to bemore adaptable to market trends, strengthen their business competitiveness, and make a greater contribution toregional economic growth.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (CSP) on tomato jam processing techniques at SMA Kristen Pontak, SouthMinahasa, was implemented as a solution to the abundant tomato harvests that are often not absorbed by themarket, reducing farmers’ economic value. The main problems faced by partners include limited knowledge ofproduct diversification, food hygiene standards, and basic marketing strategies. The objective of this program isto improve the skills of students, teachers, and local MSMEs in processing tomatoes into hygienic, durable, andmarketable jam products, while strengthening collaboration between schools and communities in local economicempowerment. The method applied was a participatory approach through five stages: preparation, socialization,training and demonstration, mentoring implementation, and evaluation and dissemination. Evaluation wasconducted using pre-test and post-test to measure improvements in participants’ knowledge and skills. Resultsshowed significant progress, with the average pre-test score of 57 increasing to 82 in the post-test, reflecting a44% improvement. The highest increase was observed in simple marketing strategies, rising from 50 to 78 (a 56%gain), followed by food hygiene from 55 to 80, and processing techniques from 58 to 83. The program successfullyproduced trial tomato jam products with simple yet marketable packaging and established collaborative networksbetween schools and MSMEs. Overall, this initiative provided positive impacts in education through practice-based learning and strengthened the capacity of local food MSMEs, serving as a replicable model forentrepreneurship development based on local resources.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious public health problem in Indonesia, with prevalence reaching 21.5% in 2023. Banjar District,South Kalimantan, recorded a stunting prevalence of 30.1%, well above the national target of 14% in 2024. Thiscondition is caused by various factors, including inadequate parenting patterns, insufficient nutritional intake, andlimited parental knowledge about providing varied food for children. This community service activity aims toprovide education to parents and cadres about providing varied menu options for toddlers to reduce stunting inthe working area of Aluh-Aluh Besar Health Center, Banjar District. The method used is educational outreachwith leaflets and flip charts, accompanied by interactive discussions with participants. The activity involved 41participants, consisting of parents and posyandu cadres. The results of the activity showed an increase inparticipants' understanding of the importance of providing varied food containing balanced nutrition, the role ofparenting in stunting prevention, and exclusive breastfeeding practices. Activity outputs include seminar resultsand journal publications in accredited national journals. In conclusion, educating parents and cadres is animportant intervention in efforts to prevent and reduce stunting in the community.
