Abstract

Clean air is crucial in poultry farming as it significantly affects the health and productivity of chickens, as well as the surrounding environment. One of the serious issues often encountered is the odor originating from waste or leftover feed, which produces ammonia gas (NH₃). If not properly managed, this gas can cause stress or even death in chickens and pollute the environment. In response to this problem, this study aims to design an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system for ammonia gas, temperature, and humidity in chicken coops, featuring automatic control through Blynk in real-time. The system uses an MQ135 sensor to detect ammonia gas and a DHT22 sensor to measure temperature and humidity. Sensor data is periodically transmitted through Blynk for remote monitoring. If ammonia levels exceed the safe threshold (>20 ppm), the system automatically activates an indicator LED, an exhaust fan for air circulation, a pump to spray an ammonia-neutralizing liquid, and a servo to dispose of chicken waste. This system also allows users to manually activate the devices via virtual buttons on Blynk and sends real-time notifications on Blynk when ammonia levels rise or when devices are activated. The test results show that the system effectively monitors coop air conditions and performs actions based on needs. It is expected that this system will enable farmers to more optimally control air quality in chicken coops, thereby improving the health of both chickens and farmers, and achieving better farming efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer preferences regarding purchasing decisions for facial moisturizer cosmetics among students of the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta. The skin is a complex and sensitive protective organ of the body, so proper skin care is crucial for maintaining health and appearance (Hartopo & Hajjah, 2020; Menaldi et al., 2019). Cosmetics, including facial moisturizers, play a role in maintaining skin hydration, texture, and elasticity (Trenggono & Fatma, 2007). Consumer preferences are influenced by product attributes, brand, price, access and distribution, and social factors (Kotler & Keller, 2016). The research method used a quantitative descriptive approach with a population of female students of the Faculty of Engineering, UNJ and a sample of 100 respondents through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using a Likert-based questionnaire, analyzed with descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. The results showed that simultaneously, consumer preference variables did not significantly influence purchasing decisions. However, partially, product attributes were proven to have a significant influence, while brand, price, access and distribution, and social factors did not show a significant influence. These findings confirm that students consider product quality as a primary factor in choosing a facial moisturizer, and indicate the need to develop other variables for a more comprehensive understanding of consumer behavior.

Abstract

Individual taxpayer compliance is a crucial factor in supporting the sustainability of state revenue. An optimal level of compliance is influenced not only by the tax administration system but also by taxpayers’ understanding of tax regulations and their perceptions of the sanctions imposed. This study aims to analyze the effect of tax knowledge and tax sanctions on individual taxpayer compliance at the Pondok Aren Primary Tax Office. A quantitative research approach with a survey method was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to registered and active individual taxpayers. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression techniques to examine the relationships among the research variables. The results indicate that tax knowledge has a positive effect on individual taxpayer compliance. In addition, tax sanctions are also proven to have a significant effect in enhancing the level of compliance. These findings suggest that improving the quality of tax education and ensuring consistent enforcement of tax sanctions can promote sustainable taxpayer compliance behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze expressive speech acts in the radio drama Tutur Tinular – Series 010, Episode 1: Pelangi di Atas Kurawan, using a pragmatic approach. Language functions not only as a means of communication but also as a medium for emotional and psychological expression that reflects the speaker’s inner state. Expressive speech acts, such as expressing gratitude, apologizing, praising, complaining, and criticizing, represent concrete manifestations of human emotions in language use. The research data were collected through listening and note-taking techniques and analyzed using a descriptive qualitative method based on the context of the utterances. The findings reveal fifteen instances of expressive speech acts, which are classified into several types, including apologizing, praising, self-blaming, complaining, expressing gratitude, threatening, and admiring. These expressive speech acts function to construct emotional atmospheres, deepen character development, and drive the narrative progression. Through these utterances, listeners are invited to experience emotional dynamics such as sadness, inner conflict, affection, tension, and empathy, which strengthen the dramatic value of the work. Moreover, the expressive speech acts convey Javanese moral and cultural values, including respect, politeness, and sincerity. This study confirms that expressive speech acts serve both aesthetic and pragmatic functions in oral literary works, as they contribute to depth of meaning, emotional richness, and cultural reflection within Indonesian society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the School Literacy Movement (Gerakan Literasi Sekolah/GLS) in improving the quality of education in Humbang Hasundutan Regency. The study employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach using case studies at primary and junior secondary school levels, supported by descriptive quantitative data in the form of literacy pre-tests and post-tests, observations of the learning process, and school assessment results. The findings indicate that the implementation of GLS significantly improved students’ literacy skills, with an average score increase of 23.65%, particularly in interpreting textual meaning (26.68%) and drawing conclusions (25.68%). The quality of the learning process also improved, as reflected in increases in text-based learning (46.15%), discussion and reflection activities (54.17%), active student participation (44.44%), and learning motivation (42.86%). In terms of learning outcomes, students’ literacy achievement increased by an average of 24.91%, accompanied by a reduction in the proportion of students in the minimum proficiency category from 48% to 29%, as well as an increase in the intermediate and advanced categories. Nevertheless, the implementation of GLS still faces major challenges, including limited literacy resources, teachers’ workload, and weak monitoring systems. These findings demonstrate that GLS makes a tangible contribution to improving the quality of both the learning process and learning outcomes, with its effectiveness being strongly influenced by the quality of implementation and the support of the school ecosystem.

Abstract

Sexual violence against women has become an increasingly serious social issue in Indonesia, with data showing a significant increase in reported cases, often linked to gender inequality and inadequate legal protection. Prior to the enactment of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Crimes of Sexual Violence (TPKS Law), the legal framework for protecting victims had weaknesses, such as limited coverage, a focus primarily on criminal aspects without a holistic approach to victims' rights, and a lack of effective mechanisms for recovery and restitution. This study aims to analyze the form and effectiveness of legal protection for women victims of sexual violence under the TPKS Law. The research method used is normative juridical, with a legal and conceptual approach, through analysis of legal texts, court decisions, and related legal concepts. Key findings indicate that the TPKS Law expands protection for victims through medical and psychological rights, protection from revictimization, social recovery, and more comprehensive restitution. In conclusion, the TPKS Law is a progressive legal instrument for protecting victims of sexual violence. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as limited resources, public awareness, and harmonization with other regulations.

Abstract

Cyberbullying is one form of crime in the digital space that has serious impacts on victims, both psychologically, socially, and economically. The characteristics of this crime, such as the anonymity of perpetrators, its wide reach, and the rapid dissemination of information, pose distinct challenges to the enforcement of criminal law. This study aims to analyze the criminal liability of cyberbullying perpetrators from the perspective of Indonesian criminal law and to identify obstacles in efforts to provide legal protection for victims. The research method employed is a normative juridical approach through library research, conducted by examining statutory regulations, legal doctrines, and relevant literature. The results of the study indicate that criminal liability for cyberbullying perpetrators is fundamentally supported by existing legal frameworks, primarily through Law Number 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions, as amended by Law Number 19 of 2016, as well as provisions in the Indonesian Criminal Code, particularly Articles 310 and 311 concerning defamation. Nevertheless, the implementation of these legal provisions continues to face various obstacles, including the limited understanding of law enforcement officials, difficulties in digital evidence collection, technological developments that are not balanced with regulatory updates, and the low level of public awareness in reporting cases. Therefore, more comprehensive efforts are required through regulatory strengthening, capacity building for law enforcement authorities, inter-agency cooperation, and digital education and literacy to ensure effective legal protection for victims of cyberbullying in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the SI-PAS OKE application as a digital innovation to improve the accuracy and synchronization of data on all junior high school infrastructure facilities in Mojokerto City. The main problem found is the data mismatch between manual school recording and Regional Property Data, which causes low accuracy, slow reporting, and planning that is not based on factual data. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was carried out through library research to examine relevant theories, and was strengthened by in-depth interviews with application developers, observations, and documentation during the application implementation period, namely from August to October 2025. The main research instrument involved comparative data between BMD data, school manual data, and data synchronized in the SI-PAS OKE application, as well as trial results in three schools (SMPN 3, SMPN 7, and SMPN 4). Data analysis techniques were carried out by reviewing, grouping concepts, and interpreting the results of data collection to describe in depth the use of the application. This research shows that this application is able to eliminate the GAP DATA which previously reached more than 10% and produces full synchronization between BMD data, manual data, and application data. This finding is in accordance with the SCOT theory that technology develops in response to social needs, especially in the need for data integration.
