Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a systematic process carried out by an organization to manage human resources—such as recruiting, training, developing, motivating, and retaining employees—to achieve organizational goals. A proper systematic process is thus essential in analyzing the influence of motivation, work discipline, and work environment on performance at the village offices in the Besuki Sub-district, Situbondo Regency, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The population in this study consists of village officials from Kalimas, Blimbing, and Langkap. The sampling method was determined using probability sampling. Data analysis and hypothesis testing were conducted using Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM).The results of the direct influence hypothesis test using SmartPLS 3.0 show that motivation has a significant effect on Job Satisfaction, Work Discipline has a significant effect on Job Satisfaction, and the Work Environment has a significantly positive effect on Job Satisfaction. Motivation, Work Discipline, and Work Environment each significantly affect performance, and Job Satisfaction significantly affects performance. The indirect influence hypothesis test results indicate that Motivation, Work Discipline, and Work Environment each have a significant effect on Performance through Job Satisfaction as a mediating variable.

Abstract

Amid increasingly intense global competition, the effective use of data has become essential for companies to remain competitive. Therefore, variables such as net profit margin, return on equity, and firm size are crucial for gaining deeper insights into firm value and its impact on company performance. This study focuses on food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2023. The objective of this research is to analyze and identify the influence of net profit margin and return on equity on firm value, with firm size acting as a moderating variable. A quantitative method was employed, utilizing secondary data obtained from annual reports available on the official IDX website (www.idx.co.id). The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a total of eight companies selected as the sample. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests (normality and multicollinearity), the coefficient of determination test, and structural equation modeling. Hypothesis testing using Smart PLS 3.0 software revealed that the net profit margin has a negative but non-significant effect on firm value. At the same time, the return on equity has a positive but also non-significant effect. Furthermore, firm size does not significantly moderate the relationship between either net profit margin or return on equity and firm value.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of service quality, social media promotion, and location on purchasing decisions and consumer satisfaction at the Project Garage Workshop, with purchasing decisions as an intervening variable. A quantitative research method was applied using path analysis to test the hypotheses. The research results prove that location is a key factor with a significant and positive influence, both directly on purchasing decisions and indirectly on consumer satisfaction, mediated by purchasing decisions. This finding is consistent with previous research that emphasizes the strategic role of location in the service industry. Meanwhile, social media promotion only proved to have a significant direct effect on customer satisfaction, indicating that while social media is effective in building engagement, its effectiveness in driving purchasing decisions is still limited. Meanwhile, service quality did not show a significant direct or indirect effect, indicating that consumers perceive the service provided as industry standard and therefore not a key differentiator. These findings conclude that purchasing decisions significantly influence customer satisfaction, and that Project Garage customers prioritize location factors and practical considerations such as price and waiting area comfort over service quality and social media promotion. The managerial implications of this study emphasize the importance of maintaining the advantage of location accessibility, optimizing more targeted digital marketing strategies, and enhancing other supporting elements such as the workshop's physical comfort and competitive pricing to build customer satisfaction holistically and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of profitability and Laverage on firm value, as well as the role of dividend policy as a moderating variable. The analysis method employs path analysis with hypothesis testing based on Original Sample values, T-Statistics, and P-Values. The results indicate that: (1) Profitability has a positive and significant effect on firm value (β = 0.795; p = 0.007), supporting the increase in firm value alongside rising profits; (2) Laverage has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value (β = -0.171; p = 0.275), indicating that debt structure does not automatically enhance firm value; (3) Dividend policy strengthens the effect of profitability on firm value (β = 0.504; p = 0.001), confirming its role as a positive moderator; (4) Dividend policy also positively and significantly moderates the effect of Laverage on firm value (β = 0.464; p = 0.022), even though Laverage itself is insignificant. These findings partially align with previous research, such as Zhafira and Tristriarini (2024), but contradict Hanifah (2020) regarding the impact of Laverage. The study emphasizes the importance of dividend policy in optimizing the effects of profitability and Laverage on firm value.

Abstract

The fast food industry in Indonesia continues to grow rapidly, along with the increasing public need for practical and affordable food. Lifestyle changes that tend to be fast-paced make fast food the leading choice for many people. One of the growing local brands is D’Kriuk Fried Chicken, which is located in various regions, including Kilensari Village and Situbondo. This research analyzes and tests brand image, product diversity, and service quality in purchasing decisions through customer satisfaction as a moderating variable at D’Kriuk Fried Chicken in Kilensari Village, Situbondo. The sampling technique was determined by purposive sampling. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study using the Smart PLS 3.0 application. The results of the direct effect hypothesis test showed that Brand image weakens the relationship positively to purchasing decisions, product diversity strengthens the relationship significantly positively to purchasing decisions, service quality strengthens the relationship significantly positively to purchasing decisions, word of mouth weakens the relationship positively to the role of Brand image in improving purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Human resources (HR) are essential assets that significantly influence organizational success. This research seeks to examine how compensation, employee loyalty, and the work environment affect employee performance, both directly and indirectly through the mediating role of employee productivity. The study was carried out at J&T Cargo Besuki utilizing a quantitative research method. Data were gathered through surveys using questionnaires distributed to 30 participants, selected using a total sampling technique, which included the entire population. Data analysis and hypothesis testing were conducted using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach with the aid of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The findings demonstrate that compensation has a positive but statistically insignificant impact on employee performance. Similarly, employee loyalty shows a positive yet non-significant effect. In contrast, the work environment has a significant and positive influence on performance. In terms of productivity, both compensation and employee loyalty contribute positively but not significantly, whereas the work environment has a meaningful positive effect. Furthermore, employee productivity itself exerts a positive but statistically insignificant influence on performance. The indirect effects of compensation, loyalty, and the work environment on performance—mediated by productivity—are positive, though not statistically significant. These results indicate that while compensation and loyalty play supportive roles, they may not effectively enhance performance without a favorable work environment. Among the variables examined, the work environment is identified as the most impactful factor in boosting both productivity and employee performance. This research underscores the critical need for a positive and supportive workplace atmosphere to optimize employee effectiveness and organizational outcomes.
