Abstract

This study investigates the translation quality in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability of the translated text of the abstract titled "Analysis of Deixis made by Indonesian EFL Undergraduate Students" which serves as the research's source material. It is descriptive-qualitative. Two approaches were taken to collect the data: content analysis was used to extract information from the source and target texts, and a questionnaire was utilized to collect information regarding readability, acceptability, and accuracy. Three raters evaluated the translated text's acceptability, readability, and accuracy. The data analysis results indicate that: (1) The average score of accuracy is 2.6. (2) The acceptability score average is 2.7. (3) The readability score is 2.4 on average. Given that the three factors had an average score of 2.6, it can be said that the Indonesian EFL undergraduate students' translation of the Analysis of Deixis was of good quality.

Abstract

The vision of a defense budget of 1.5% of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2025 is still difficult to realize. Until 2024, the proportion of Indonesia's defense budget will still be below 1 percent. In addition, the distribution of Indonesia's 2018-2025 defense spending is mostly used for personnel spending and operations and maintenance, followed by the procurement budget. Proficiency in defense entrepreneurship requires risk tolerance, innovation and efficient management; These are important factors for facing changes that will occur in the strategic environment. Using qualitative methodology, this research examines the phenomenon of state problems within the limited state budget for the development of its defense industry. Data was obtained through observation and review of previous research literature. State issues must be reformed in various ways so that various interests and responsibilities can be integrated in order to optimize the state's contribution to the growth of defense entrepreneurship in the defense industry.

Abstract

This research analyzes the Technology Acceptance Model theory (TAM) in shopping behavior using Paylater. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on shopping interest using Paylater (behavioral intention). Respondents from this research are people who know E-Commerce and know the Paylater payment tool. After testing, the results of this research are that perceived usefulness has a significant positive effect on shopping interest using Paylater (behavioral intention), this is shown by the level of significance value of 0.046. Meanwhile, perceived ease of use does not have a significant effect on shopping interest using Paylater, behavioral intention of Paylater users. The behavioral intention of Paylater users is explained by the variables Perceived usefulness and Perceived ease of use of 7.4%, the rest is explained by other variables outside this research.

This paper embarks on a comprehensive journey through the epochs of Chinese civilizations, unraveling the intricate threads that weave together the tapestry of its rich history. The paper seeks to explore the dynamic evolution of Chinese societies from ancient times to the modern era, employing a comparative lens to illuminate distinctive features, contributions, and challenges across different epochs. Beginning with the cradle of civilization in ancient China, the analysis traverses the early dynasties, scrutinizing their cultural, philosophical, and technological advancements. The imperial era witnesses the flourishing of governance, arts, and innovation under the Han, Tang, and Song Dynasties. Ming and Qing Dynasties, characterized by peaks and declines, unravel tales of maritime exploration, cultural integration, and foreign invasions. The narrative then unfolds into modern China, tracing the transformative phases of the late Qing and Republican era, the seismic shifts brought about by the Communist Revolution, and the subsequent economic reforms leading to China's resurgence on the global stage. A pivotal aspect of this exploration lies in drawing connections between Chinese civilizations and other contemporaneous societies. The course paper delves into parallel developments, interactions, and exchanges with neighboring civilizations, offering a nuanced understanding of China's place in the larger tapestry of human history. As the analysis navigates the continuities and transformations within Chinese culture, it addresses challenges and controversies, including historical disputes, preservation dilemmas, and contemporary debates surrounding the trajectory of Chinese civilizations. This research embarks on an exploration of the nuanced and evolving metaphorical representations of death within 19th-century American poetry focus on Emily Dickinson's poem 'Because I Could Not Stop for Death. The methodology integrates close textual analysis with historical contextualization, shedding light on the broader sociocultural landscape that influenced poetic expressions of death. By scrutinizing metaphorical intricacies, symbolism, and linguistic choices, the study aims to elucidate how Dickinson's portrayal of death diverges or aligns with the works of her peers. Moreover, it endeavors to discern underlying societal attitudes towards mortality, providing a comprehensive understanding of the intricate interplay between poetic representation and cultural dynamics in 19th-century American literature. Abstract

Mahzani Fest 2023 organized by Universitas Negeri Manado, the result of collaboration between the Student Executive Board and Creative Batamang, was successfully held on October 14 2023, at the UNIMA Rectorate Square. A qualitative interview study, with students as respondents, was carried out to determine the factors that shape the event image, level of satisfaction, as well as future behavioral intentions towards Mahzani Fest 2023. Through the research carried out, it is hoped that it can provide information – important information for the organizer, Universitas Negeri Manado, for the next Mahzani Fest event.

Abstract

The research objective to be achieved in this study is to determine the influence of content exposure and the quality of information on dr. Tirta’s Instagram towards a healthy lifestyle (study on followers of dr. Tirta's Instagram account). The research object taken in this research is the followers of dr. Tirta. The theory used in this research is the stimulus organism response (S-O-R) theory. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach using non-probability sampling techniques with a population of 2.5 million followers of dr. Tirta and a sample of 400 respondents obtained from calculation results using the Slovin formula. The subjects in this research were Instagram followers of dr. Tirta. The results of this research indicate that the content exposure variable and the information quality variable on dr. Tirta’s Instagram has an influence on the healthy lifestyle of dr. Tirta’s followers.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that influence members' decisions in choosing a sharia savings and loan cooperative at Kspps Mutiara Harapan Jamaah Kolaka Regency. This research uses a survey method to determine the factors that influence members' interest in choosing Kspps Mutiara Harapan Jamaah Kolaka Regency using qualitative and quantitative research methods. The sample in this research was all members of the research cooperative, totaling 250 people. Then the data obtained is analyzed in the form of quantitative analysis.TechniqueThe data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research show that partially, namely the t test, it can be concluded that the trust variable has a significant effect on members' decisions in choosing a sharia savings and loan cooperative. Meanwhile, the variables religiosity and financing procedures do not significantly influence members' decisions in choosing a sharia savings and loan cooperative at Kspps Mutiara Harapan Jamaah Kolaka Regency. The results of the simultaneous test, namely the F test, can be concluded that the variables of trust, religiosity and financing procedures do not significantly influence members' decisions in choosing a sharia savings and loan cooperative at Kspps Mutiara Harapan Jamaah Kolaka Regency.
