EBTIDA: Journal of Islamic Basic Education is an open peer-reviewed journal published by the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Raden Rahmat Islamic University (UNIRA) Malang. This journal contains scientific manuscripts on Islamic Basic Education studies, both literature studies and field studies published in Indonesian with two abstracts: Indonesian and English. Abstract

Students' understanding in following the learning process is not yet optimal so that student learning outcomes are below the KKM. The aim of this research is to improve mathematics learning outcomes on the concepts of perimeter and area of flat shapes using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model for fourth grade students at SDN Ngembe 1 Pasuruan district. This research uses the PTK method with two cycles of action. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data processing is obtained from observation, documentation and student competency tests. The results of the research describe that student learning outcomes have improved in each cycle 1 and cycle 2. The final results of the research show that student learning outcomes in mathematics learning which discusses squares, rectangles and triangles are better using the RME (Realistic Mathematics Education) learning model. . Of the 28 students, in cycle 1 the average score of students in class reached 76.43 with 22 students completing (71.43%), and in cycle 2 it increased with the average score of students in class reaching 77.75 with complete 28 students (100%). In this case it can be concluded that students better understand mathematical concepts in real world contexts, increase student involvement and creativity in learning, and develop students' analytical skills, so that learning that is oriented towards student learning outcomes in class IV at SDN Ngembe 1 increases.

Abstract

The research carried out aims to increase student learning motivation by using outdoor learning methods for class IV students at SDN Gladak Anyar 4 Pamekasan. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method using the flow of action implementation by Kemmis and McTaggart. The subjects or participants in this research were class IV students at SDN Gladak Anyar 4 Pamekasan, totaling 31 people consisting of 18 boys and 13 girls as well as one colleague whose position was a research collaborator. The research was carried out through a pre-cycle stage and two cycles with each cycle consisting of two meetings and an estimated time of 2 x 35 minutes. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The results of this research indicate an increase in student learning motivation by using the outdoor learning method in terms of observation indicators of teacher skills which reached a final gain of 91%, student activity which reached a final gain of 92%, and the use of outdoor learning methods reached a final gain of 94%. The research conclusion is that outdoor learning methods that are implemented well can increase student learning motivation in class IV students at SDN Gladak Anyar 4 Pamekasan.

Abstract

Madrasahs still have many problems that need to be addressed, especially teacher problems. To create quality madrasahs, teacher professionalism is very important. The quality of teachers greatly impacts the quality of madrasahs, and professionalism is always related to welfare. This research is based on the instructions given by madrasah principals to teachers and education personnel through intense communication. The purpose of this study is to find out how teachers and madrasah principals handle problems; and to find out how teachers and madrasah principals build competitiveness. This study has a qualitative approach. Observation, interview, and documentation are the methods used to obtain data sources. Data sources included the Head of MI, student teachers, classroom teachers, and the community, and data were validated through triangulation and extended participation. The results of this study indicate that the role of the head determines the power or authority (power) to gather and mobilize all resources in the madrasah. The madrasah head also often provides supervision to educators and education personnel to actively participate in activities during class or outside the classroom. The madrasah principal must choose educators who are competent in their fields because teacher professionalism is important in the soul of an educator. They must also be able to choose or determine materials, as well as learning resources or the right media to facilitate the learning process.

Abstract

This study was prepared with the aim of improving the learning outcomes of mathematics in the material of counting units of time using smart watch learning media for class IIIA students of Ma'arif YPM Wonocolo Elementary School, Taman Sidoarjo in the 2022/2023 academic year. The learning outcomes referred to in this study are increasing the value of math lessons on the material of calculating the unit of time. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK), where the researcher is the learning teacher while the students are the learning subjects. this research was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year, namely in February to March. The subjects of this study were students of class IIIA Ma'arif YPM Wonocolo Elementary School, Taman Sidoarjo in the 2022/2023 academic year consisting of 26 students. The object of research is the learning outcomes of students in mathematics subjects. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented using tables and graphs. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes, namely in cycle I of 65%, then in cycle II it increased to 80%. This means that there was an increase of 15%. thus the use of smart watch learning media in math lessons can improve the learning outcomes of class IIIA students of Ma'arif YPM Wonocolo Elementary School, Taman Sidoarjo in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

The Social interaction is an important and absolute thing in MIT Ar-Roihan which is an inclusive school. There are students who have difficulty in social interaction with their friends, so it influences their learning motivation. This can be seen from the action of regular students who still make "ABK" label for certain students. They have not been able to accept the conditions and support the students with special needs, so they prefer to talk and play with their regular peers. The objectives of this research are to describe and analyze the implementation process of social interaction, the factors underlying the process of social, and the implications of social interaction of regular students and students with special needs in improving learing motivation at MIT Ar-Roihan Lawang-Malang. The research approaches used are qualitative research approach, case study and study design using single case design. The data collection techniques are 1) Observation 2) Interview 3) Documentation. The results point out that: 1) The implementation process of social interaction between regular students and students with special needs in improving learning motivation are done through communication, teaching and learning process, peer groups, and extracurricular. 2) The factors underlying the social interaction are supporting factors such as social acceptance and management of schools (open house, therapy, collaboration with various parties) and inhibiting factors such as social rejection and conflict. 3) The implications are the growth of empathy, cooperation, and achievement.

Abstract

Reading is an activity carried out to obtain information, knowledge and new experiences. The reading process consists of several aspects, including the sensory aspect which is the ability to use written symbols, the perceptual aspect which is the ability to interpret what is seen as a symbol, the schemata aspect which is the ability to connect written information with existing knowledge structures, the thinking aspect which is the ability make inferences and evaluations fom the material that has been studied, the affective aspect is the aspect relating to the reader's interest which influences reading activities. The aim of this research is: The aim of this research is to improve the initial reading ability of grade 1 students at MI Miftahul Ulum Sentul for the 2022-2023 academic year by using word-pias media. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method, with a case study approach. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research describe that) According to planning, the things that teachers do in planning learning media are by making lesson plans that use word-pias media, as well as making observation sheets to determine the level of studentds reading ability. 2) according to implementation t can be seen that after using pias-pias media said students become more interested in learning to read so that student’s reading abilities improve.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan media yang sesuai dengan preferensi siswa, yang ditandai dengan keterlibatan dan stimulasi, memiliki implikasi signifikan bagi pengembangan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa, yang berpotensi memengaruhi kelangsungan keterampilan berpikir tingkat rendah di antara siswa. Dalam konteks pembelajaran tematik, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan Crossword Puzzle Gambar sebagai bentuk media untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Metode penelitian dan pengembangan menggunakan desain pengembangan model ADDIE. Kuesioner kelayakan produk digunakan untuk memverifikasi validitas produk dan desain pembelajaran, serta kuesioner keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas produk. Dengan skor IRR sebesar 90%, temuan menunjukkan bahwa nilai kelayakan produk berada dalam kisaran sangat layak. Media Crossword Puzzle Gambar secara efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa seperti yang dibuktikan dengan skor rata-rata 3,75 dan TCR sebesar 93,75% pada tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan media kartu kata untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa sekolah dasar. Metodologi yang digunakan melibatkan tinjauan literatur yang komprehensif, menggabungkan analisis kritis dari berbagai sumber akademis yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media kartu kata secara signifikan meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan membaca siswa. Peningkatan ini dibuktikan dengan kemajuan penting dalam kecepatan membaca, pemahaman teks, dan antusiasme belajar secara keseluruhan. Media kartu kata menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang interaktif dan menyenangkan, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi siswa. Selain itu, penggunaan kartu kata memfasilitasi pengajaran yang berbeda, memenuhi beragam kebutuhan belajar siswa dan memungkinkan pengalaman belajar yang dipersonalisasi. Sifat interaktif dari kegiatan kartu kata mendorong kolaborasi teman sebaya dan partisipasi aktif, yang selanjutnya memperkuat keterampilan membaca dan menumbuhkan sikap positif terhadap pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar pendidik mengintegrasikan media kartu kata ke dalam strategi pembelajaran mereka untuk mengatasi tantangan literasi secara efektif dan meningkatkan kinerja akademik siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Fokus tujuan studi ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di sekolah dasar dengan membuat mereka berpartisipasi aktif berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran dan memasukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka ke dalam proyek yang relevan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menyelidiki literatur yang relevan tentang bagaimana model ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan siswa untuk berpikir kritis. Namun, masalah seperti kesiapan guru dan perencanaan yang cermat juga muncul saat menerapkan model ini. Studi ini juga memberi tahu guru tentang cara menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Abstrack This research will explore information about the importance of the role and various types of teaching materials (printed and non-printed) that are relevant in learning language and arts and culture at the basic education level, especially at the elementary school level, namely at SDI Surya Buana Malang. The research method used is qualitative research and literature study. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews with teachers, classroom observations, documentation, academic journals, books, articles and relevant research reports. The findings from the research show that there are various types of printed and non-printed teaching materials, supporting factors and challenges that influence the implementation of printed and non-printed teaching materials, the positive impact of the implementation of printed and non-printed teaching materials, and the implementation of teaching materials that are integrated between printed and non-printed. print language and arts and culture learning in Class 2 of SDI Surya Buana Malang. The aim of this research is to provide scientific treasures and an in-depth understanding of the role and various types of teaching materials (print and non-print) that are relevant in language and arts and culture learning at SDI Surya Buana Malang. In conclusion, the role of printed and non-printed teaching materials is very important to implement in the learning of Indonesian language and arts and culture at primary level schools, so that they are appropriate and achieve learning objectives. Therefore, it is recommended that all levels understand the role and implement printed and non-printed teaching materials in the learning process. Keywords: Variety, Role, Teaching Materials Abstrak Penelitian ini akan mengeksplor informasi tentang pentingnya peran dan ragam jenis bahan ajar (cetak dan non cetak) yang relevan dalam pembelajaran bahasa dan seni budaya dalam tingkat pendidikan dasar, khususnya di tingkat sekolah dasar yaitu di SDI Surya Buana Malang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dan studi literatur. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru, observasi kelas, dokumentasi, jurnal akademik, buku, artikel, dan laporan penelitian yang relevan. Hasil temuan dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ragam jenis bahan ajar cetak dan non cetak, factor pendukung dan tantangan yang mempengaruhi implementasi bahan ajar cetak dan non cetak, dampak positif dari implementasi bahan ajar cetak dan non cetak, dan Implementasi bahan ajar yang diintegrasikan antara cetak dan non cetak pembelajaran Bahasa dan seni budaya di Kelas 2 SDI Surya Buana Malang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini memberikan khazanah keilmuan dan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang peran dan ragam jenis bahan ajar (cetak dan non cetak) yang relevan dalam pembelajaran bahasa dan seni budaya di SDI Surya Buana Malang. Kesimpulannya, bahwa peran bahan ajar cetak dan non cetak ini sangat penting diimplementasikan pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dan Seni Budaya disekolah tingkat dasar, agar sesuai dan tercapai tujuan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar semua tingkat memahami peran dan menimpelemntasikan bahan ajar cetak dan non cetak pada proses pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Ragam, Peran, Bahan Ajar
