Abstract

This study aims to develop a quartet card game as a biology learning media in the excretion system subject that meets the feasibility value of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The process of developing the media uses the 4D development model, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The research subjects were students of class XI IPA 3of  East Luwu, 4 High School. The research instruments used were validation sheets, teacher workforce activity and observation sheets for students' activities as well as teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires and test items. Based on data analysis showed the validity level of quartet card game learning media is in valid category with an average value of 3.18 (x> 2.5). The results of data analysis obtained for the practicality assessment of the educator's activity sheet and the student's observation sheet and teacher's response, the practical level of the learning media are in the very high category with an average total score of 3.85 (x> 3.4). The results of data analysis obtained from student learning tests, quartet card game learning media is categorized as effective because 80.77% of students achieve classical completeness of learning and responses of students in the very positive category with a percentage of 100%. The results of this development are worth considering as one of media that can be used in the learning process in the classroom.Kata kunci:4 –D development model, quartet card game , excretion system

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the comparison of students’ IPA learning outcomes by using TS-TS and TPS type of cooperative learning model in the VIII class of MTs Negeri Gowa. The kind of this research was quasi experimental with the nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The population of this research was the second grade students of MTs Negeri Gowa which have two classes. Then, the researcher decided the sample with saturation sampling. The research instrument was using test of learning outcomes after giving treatment. The analysis techniques were using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The result of descriptive analysis showed that the average of students’ learning outcomes with cooperative model by using TS-TS was 12,43 at the high category with 50% percentage while the cooperative model by using TPS type also at the high category with 46,875% with the average score at 14,25. Then, the result of inferential analysis showed that there were the significant difference between students’ IPA learning outcomes after using TS-TS and TPS type of cooperative learning model with the result of calculation score in thitung>ttabel (2,6033>1,67) which means H2 was rejected. Based on the result of research, it could be known that TS-TS and TPS type of cooperative learning model can increase students’ learning outcomes at VIII class of MTsN Gowa.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of learning strategy of improving thinking ability (SPPKB) one student learning outcomes in integrated science lesson in class VIII MTsN 1 Makassar city. The purpose of this research is to know the learning result of the students in class VIII MTsN 1 makassar city taught by using the learning strategy of thingking ability improvement (SPPKB) in integrated science lesson, to know the learning result of the students in class VIII MTsN 1 makassar city is taught without using learning strategy to improve thinking ability (SPPKB) in integrated science lesson, and to know the influence of learning strategy of improving thinking ability (SPPKB) toward student learning outcomes in integrated  science lesson in grade VIII MTsN 1 makassar city. This research is experimental of quasi experiment form (Quasi Experimental), pretest-posstest control group design is research design. All students of class VIII MTsN makassar city is the population of this research. And the sample of this study is class VIII 12 (Experiments) with the number of 39 students and VIII 11 (Control) with the number of 40 students. Data retrieval is done by using learning result test in the form of pretest and posstest, analysis technique in this research is descriptive and inferential analysis tecnique. The result of research indicate the influence of learning outcomes who were taught using learning strategy to improve thinking ability (SPPKB) on plant body structure material in class VIII MTsN 1 makassar city karena H0 rejected and H1 accepted. Seen from analysis of the value tarithmetic 1,708  and value ttabel 1,664 from value dk=n-1 (79-1) so value tarithmetic > ttabel thats is (1,708>1,664).

Abstract

This study aims at (1) knowing student learning outcomes in digestive system material using Verbal Soccer Strategy (2) knowing student learning outcomes in digestive system material using Media Card Problem (3) knowing the effect of using Verbal Soccer Strategy with Media Cards Problem with results student learning in the digestive system material class XI MIA SMAN 1 Tinambung Polewali Mandar district. This research is a Quasi-Experimental type with the research design used is the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in the study were all students of class XI MIA SMAN 1 Tinambung, amounting to 123 people in 4 classes. The research sample consisted of 58 people selected from two classes using thetechnique Multi-Stage Random Sampling. Data collection techniques using research instruments in the form of multiple choice tests as many as 20 questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with a paired sample t-test. The results showed the average learning outcomes of students taught using verbal soccer strategies of = 75.69 while the average learning outcomes of students taught using question card media amounted to = 50.34. Inferential analysis results obtained by the value of F.arithmetic (0,000) <F.table (0,05). This shows that there is a positive and significant effect of using verbal soccer strategies with question card media on student learning outcomes in digestive system material class XI MIA SMAN 1 Tinambung Polewali Mandar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media aways arthropoda equipped with pocket book and determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of arthropod-preserved equipped with pocket book developed. This research and development refers to the 4D development model which includes four stages, namely define, design, develop , and disseminate. The research instrument is a validation sheet to obtain product validity data, questionnaire responses of students to get practicality data products, as well as test items to get product effectiveness data. Based on the results of epert validator research, the level of validity of learning media aways arthropoda is in the valid category with an average value 3,45. Based on the results of the students response to the practicality level of learning media is on the category is very positive with an average total value 3,75. Based on the test results of the students learning media awetan arthropoda equipped with pocket book is categorized effevtive because is reaches  81,02%.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the self regulation of students of class XI MIA MAN 1 Bulukumba, (2) describe the learning motivation of students in class XI MIA MAN 1 Bulukumba, (3) describe the biology learning outcomes of students XI MIA MAN 1 Bulukumba, (4) the effect of self regulation on learning biology of students of class XI MIA MAN 1 Bulukumba, (5) the influence of learning motivation on learning biology of students in class XI MIA MAN 1 Bulukumba and (6 ) the influence of self regulation and learning motivation of students in class XI MIA MAN 1 Bulukumba,on learning biology outcomes. This study included quantitative research with ex post facto correlation methods. This research is a population study so that the subject of this study is all 71 students of class XI MIA MAN 1 Bulukumba. This study used self regulation and learning motivation scale instrument and also documentation. Data were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of this study are (1) students self regulation is in the medium category. (2) Learning motivation is in the medium category. (3) Learning outcomes is in high category. (4) Self regulation has a positive and significant influence on learning biology outcomes (5) Learning motivation has a positive and significant influence on learning biology outcomes. (6) Self regulation and learning motivation have positive and significant influence on the results learning biology outcomes. It can be suggested from this research, that teachers can use this as an input to redesigning the Lesson plan in order to improve self regulation and learning motivation of the students.Key words: Self Regulation, Motivation Learning, Learning Outcomes Biology.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop learning devices namely LKPD based on ARCS motivation strategies (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction) and to determine the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness of the developed LKPD. This research is a development research (Research and Development) to produce products in the form of LKPD based on ARCS motivational strategies for immune system material. This research and development refers to the 4-D development model, which includes four stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The research subjects were students of class XI MIA MA Madani Alauddin Paopao 2018/2019 academic year totaling 35 people. The research instrument was a validation sheet to obtain product validity data, questionnaire responses for students to obtain product practicality data, and test items to obtain data on the effectiveness of the products developed. Based on the results of the expert validator's assessment, the validity level of the LKPD-based strategy for the motivation of the ARCS immunity system material is in a very valid category with an average value of 3.54 (3.5 ≤ X ≤ 4.0). Based on the results of the assessment of students' responses the practicality level of the LKPD is in the practical category with an average total score of 3.32 (2.5 ≤ Xi <3.5). Based on the results of student learning tests the level of effectiveness of LKPD is in the high category, namely 82.86% with the number of students completing in the learning process is 29 people, while the incomplete ones are 6 people. This indicates that the LKPD was developed effectively for use in immunity system material.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the comparison of biology learning outcomes through the application of the Snowball Throwing learning model with the Articulation model to students VIIA class and VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the students' learning outcomes by using the Snowball Throwing learning model? What is the learning outcomes of students using the Articulated learning model? Are there any differences in student learning outcomes using the Snowball Throwing model with the Articulation model? Class VII SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa Gowa regency in the subject of this research cell aims to obtain information about the results of biology students learning grade VII SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa academic year 2017/2018 learners are taught through the model of Snowball Throwing and learners are taught through the model of Articulation , and to know the difference of learning outcomes of learners who are taught through the Snowball Throwing model with the Articulation model. This research is Quasi Experimental Design research with Noquivalent Control Group Design research design. The population of this study are all students of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa which amounted to 353 people while the sample is VIIA class amounted to 33 people and class VIIB amounted to 33 people. The research instrument used in this study is the test of student learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, obtained the average of the two groups, the experimental class I is taught by using the learning model of Snowbal Throwing of 78.15. In the experimental class II that was taught using the Articulation learning model of 71.5. While based on result of inferential analysis using independent sample t-test obtained p value equal to 0,003 smaller than at α equal to 0,05 (p <0,05) hence can be concluded that H0 is rejected. So there is a significant difference between the Snowball Throwing model and the Articulation of the biology learning outcomes of learners in class VII of SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa Kab. Gowa.

Abstract

The kind of this research was research and development (R & D) which aimed to understand the development process, validity, practicality, and effectiveness of biology learning module based on scientific approach on respiratory system topic in senior high school. Research and development phase referred to ADDIE development model that consist of 5 phases: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development,                          (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. This research used 3 kinds of instruments: (1) expert validation sheet to assess the validity of the module, (2) teacher and student response sheet to assess the practicality of the module, and (3) posttest to assess the effectiveness of the module. Based on the result of data analysis, the average of module validity from 2 validators was 4,3 and the module categorizied as valid. The average percentage response score from 3 teachers was 89,3% (very positive) and the average percentage of response score from 25 students was 86,0% (very positive) and the module was categorizied as practical. From the posttest, obtained 21 students or 84% of students were able to achieve the criteria of learning mastery and the module was categorizied as effective. Therefore, can be concluded that development process of biology learning modul based on scientific approach on respiratory system topic in senior high school referred to ADDIE development model and qualified valid, practical, and effective.  Keywords: Biology Module, Scientific

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemandirian belajar peserta didik kelas XII MIA SMA Negeri 16 Makassar, menganalisis pemanfaatan fasilitas belajar peserta didik kelas XII MIA SMA Negeri 16 Makassar, menganalisis pengaruh kemandirian belajar dan pemanfaatan fasilitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XII MIA SMA Negeri 16 Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XII MIA SMA Negeri 16 Makassar berjumlah 253 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 70 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket kemandirian belajar, angket pemanfaatan fasilitas belajar dan dokumentasi hasil belajar peserta didik. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemandirian belajar peserta didik kelas XII MIA di SMA Negeri 16 Makassar sebesar 96 yang berada dalam kategori sedang. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial untuk kemandirian belajar diperoleh data (fhitung = 15,818 > ftabel = 3,13), sedangkan analisis statistik inferensial untuk pemanfaatan fasilitas diperoleh data (fhitung = 11,295 > ftabel = 3,13), ini berarti terdapat pengaruh kemandirian belajar dan pemanfaatan fasilitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar biologi peserta didik kelas XII MIA di SMAN 16 Makassar.
