Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of animated video media in understanding fractions in mathematics subjects to improve elementary school students' learning outcomes. The type of research used was Quasi Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design, namely research conducted in two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. This research was conducted in class IV of the Pesantren Elementary School. The data collection techniques used were tests and observations. Data validation through content validity, instrument testing, reliability testing. Data analysis uses inferential statistical techniques through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and T tests. Based on the research results, the average learning outcomes test score before being given treatment (pretest) in the experimental class is 39.54, while the average learning outcomes test score after being given treatment (posttest) was 81.93. And the results of the hypothesis test show a sig (2-tailed) result of 0.000, where 0.000 < 0.05, so Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a difference in the use of animated video media in understanding fraction material in mathematics learning in class IV of the Semarang City Pesantren Elementary School between before being given treatment (pretest) and after being given treatment (posttest). So, there is an influence of animated video media in understanding fraction material in mathematics subjects to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students at the Semarang City Pesantren State Elementary School for the 2023/2024 academic year

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education curriculum has evolved with innovative elements rooted in Islamic teachings. Indonesia faces significant challenges with bullying, notably highlighted by the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), reporting approximately 3,800 cases in 2023, half of which occurred in educational settings, including pesantrens. This literature review explores integrating anti-bullying education into the Islamic Religious Education Curriculum to enhance its role in cultivating values that effectively counteract bullying. By aligning with Islamic principles of compassion and humanity, the study aims to propose practical curriculum development strategies for creating a supportive and inclusive educational environment. The study utilizes a literature review approach, synthesizing data from scholarly sources such as journals, e-books, research reports, and books. This comprehensive review consolidates knowledge on bullying prevention strategies and Islamic educational principles to inform curriculum innovation. Integrating anti-bullying values into the Islamic Religious Education Curriculum is not only feasible but also beneficial. It aligns with Islamic ethical frameworks and addresses pressing societal issues like bullying in educational contexts. By emphasizing empathy, kindness, and conflict resolution rooted in Islamic teachings, the curriculum can mitigate the negative impacts of bullying, fostering healthier social dynamics and improving overall student well-being. This research underscores the pivotal role of curriculum development in promoting a culture of respect and tolerance, fostering a harmonious learning environment conducive to academic success and emotional growth.

Abstract

This research aims to explore students' moral education through cultivating the use of the words "please", "sorry", "thank you", and "excuse me" at Alam Tangerang Elementary School. The problem underlying this research is the low awareness and application of moral values in students' daily interactions. The main aim of this research is to understand how these words can shape students' moral behavior and assess the effectiveness of educational strategies implemented by schools. The research methodology used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of students, teachers and principals at Alam Elementary School. Data collection was carried out through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data validation was carried out using triangulation techniques to ensure data accuracy through various sources and data collection methods. Data analysis was carried out through the process of coding, categorization and drawing thematic conclusions. The results of the research show that moral education at Alam Elementary School has succeeded in cultivating the use of the words "please", "sorry", "thank you" and "excuse me" among students. The use of these words appears to have increased significantly in students' daily interactions, both inside and outside the classroom. Teachers and principals play an important role in instilling these values through behavioral modeling, positive reinforcement, and integration in learning activities. The implication is that moral education that focuses on the use of polite words has a positive impact on the development of students' character.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out about the existence of internship participants and the effectiveness of activities in accordance with the objectives of the internship, where the government agency, Harbor Master's Office, and Tanjung Emas Port Authority are not places of education. Both facilities and infrastructure are not places of education, so the researcher finds out about the effectiveness and success of the activity and can create new knowledge for the interns in the activity as proven by an assessment at the beginning and end of the activity. The research results show that the internship program significantly contributes to improving the technical skills of interns. Respondents reported increased understanding of the business world of industry (DUDI), the ability to use relevant tools and technology, and the application of academic theory in practical contexts. Apart from that, internship programs also help in developing non-technical skills such as communication, teamwork, and time management. Most students feel better prepared to enter the world of work after completing an internship program. However, this research also identified several challenges faced in implementing the internship program, such as a lack of support from the internship company and limitations in the assignments given to students. Therefore, it is recommended that there be increased collaboration between educational institutions and industry to ensure internship programs that are more structured and beneficial for students.

Abstract

Interaction between teachers and students is important in learning. Interaction often begins with a question from the teacher to the students, even if it is just a rhetorical question (a question that does not require an answer). Although questions start an interaction, it is not uncommon for questions to be the cause of interaction failure. Questions that do not get a good response from students can result in the failure of classroom interaction. In fact, there are many functions of questions, not only to measure students' understanding, but also to stimulate critical thinking and active involvement in learning. Based on this, it is important to learn how teachers deal with questions that do not get a response from students so that there is no failure of interaction. The purpose of this study is to find out how teachers overcome interaction obstacles if the questions given do not get a response from students. This study is qualitative research that uses classroom discourse analysis method. Data were collected from two language classes from different schools. What teachers do to overcome interaction failure in learning is repeating questions, paraphrasing question sentences, and giving additional questions or accompanying questions. This method is a way that is often used by teachers.

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving is a crucial ability that needs to be developed to prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century. The ability can be improved by using learning activity, one of which is the implementing Math Treasure Hunt in Challenge-Based Learning Model. The aims of this research are (1) to analyze the quality of learning using the CBL model by implementing MTH activities on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and (2) to analyze mathematical problem-solving abilities in terms of students' self-confidence in the CBL model with implementation of MTH activities. This research uses a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. The sampling technique uses random sampling and determining research subjects uses purposive sampling technique. The samples were students in class 10C and 10D at SMA Semesta BBS Semarang 2023/2024. Meanwhile, the research subjects consisted of six students with high, medium and low self-confidence. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, questionnaires, tests and interviews. The results of the research show that (1) learning with a challenge based learning model with the implementation of math treasure hunt activities has a positive effect on students' mathematical problem solving abilities and (2) (a) subjects with high self-confidence fulfill all stages of mathematical problem-solving abilities; (b) subjects with moderate self-confidence fulfill the second and third stages and do not fulfill the other two stages; and (c) subjects with low self-confidence fulfill the second stage, do not fulfill the fourth stage, and do not fulfill both stages of mathematical problem solving ability.
