Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between profitability, company value and company size leverage in the Indonesian retail industry. Financial data of retail companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange were analyzed using SPSS using quantitative methods and population sampling techniques. Data was analyzed using SPSS. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between these variables and the size of the company. From the regression results, it can be seen that the constant value is 6.490, while the regression coefficients of profitability (X1), company value (X2) and leverage (X3) are 0.103, -0.001 and -0.008, respectively. This shows that changes in profitability, company value, and leverage affect the size of the company. However, only profitability has a significant positive influence on the size of the company, while the value of the company and leverage have an insignificant negative influence on the size of the company. Testing using the t-test shows that the three independent variables are linearly related to the size of the company. These findings highlight the importance of effectively managing these factors in the context of a dynamic global economy, which can affect the growth and development of retail businesses. This research contributes to the strategic management literature by providing a better understanding of the factors that influence the size of companies in the retail industry. The practical implications of these findings could help managers and stakeholders make more informed decisions when managing their companies and plan more effective strategies for long-term growth.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of taste, price, and service quality on consumer satisfaction and loyalty towards Chatime beverage products in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. Understanding consumer behavior is crucial for sustaining business growth in the rapidly growing food and beverage industry. By leveraging theories of consumer satisfaction and loyalty, this study adopts a quantitative approach through multiple regression analysis of data collected from 108 respondents. The findings revealed that taste, price, and service quality significantly affect consumer satisfaction and loyalty. Interestingly, while satisfaction significantly fosters loyalty, it does not mediate the relationship between price and loyalty, suggesting price sensitivity among students’ demographics. Despite perceiving Chatime's products as relatively expensive, their willingness to recommend the brand indicates recognition of quality. This study contributes to a nuanced understanding of the factors driving consumer loyalty in the competitive beverage industry, emphasizing the need for strategic pricing and quality enhancement to foster consumer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

This research studies the complex relationships between government policies, technological innovation, availability of venture capital, and the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia. Using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), this research analyses data from a sample of 130 SMEs across different industries and regions. The measurement model assessment confirmed the reliability and validity of the constructs, while the structural model analysis revealed significant positive relationships between government policy effectiveness, technological innovation, venture capital availability, and SME growth. The robustness of the findings was confirmed through bootstrapping, and the model fit index validated the adequacy of the estimated model. The R-squared values indicate the ability of the model to explain most of the variance in SME growth. Hypothesis testing further corroborated the significant impact of Availability of Venture Capital, Government Policies, and Technological Innovation on SME growth. The implications of these findings extend to policymakers, business owners, and stakeholders, guiding the formulation of strategies that foster an enabling environment for SMEs in Indonesia.
