Abstract

The research was descriptive research with qualitative approach which aimed at describing concept understandings and problem solving abilities of the students of class XI at SMAN 1 Banda Neira in solving trigonometry comparison problem based on the students’ learning styles, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The conclusion based on the test and interview results are: (1) Visual subject: Stating definition smoothly and thinking with focused eyes seeing in the question sheet, illustrating picture and using two way. Understanding the problem by reading question once silently, stating formula while thinking with your eyes closed like remembering something with a visual description. (2) Auditory subject: Stating definition clearly while thinking by moving lips, illustrating picture and using one way. Understanding the problem by reading question twice with a loud voice, stating formula by thinking like remembering information known by bowing face down. (3) Kinesthetic subject: Stating definition clearly, revealing slowly while tapping pen on the question sheet, illustrating picture and using two way. Understanding the problem by reading question three times silently and using finger to point while lifting the question sheet, stating formula with slowly while pointing at the image and symbol with finger.

Abstract

Mathematics lessons are one of the subjects that must be studied by students in every level of education, especially in the field of junior high school (SMP). If you look at the mathematics learning objectives in Permendikbud Number 21 Year 2016 requires students to have the ability to think logically, analytically, systematically, critically and creatively. But mathematical material is abstract, making mathematics considered difficult by most students. This is one of the causes for not achieving the goals of mathematics learning. Mathematical concepts can be easily understood if they are concrete and follow the times experienced by students. The stage of development of junior high school students requires students to be able to reason by using abstract and symbolic things. One solution is to help students understand mathematical material using e-learning. Learning e-learning is a concept of education that utilizes the development of information and communication technology, especially in the teaching and learning process. The ease of learning with e-learning is also the teacher can prepare learning effectively and efficiently by using media and learning resources that are more interesting so that they are not focused on printed books. This can increase students' interest in learning where learning is no longer focused on the teacher and class. The function of e-learning in supporting learning activities in the classroom is as a supplement (additional), complement (complementary) and substitution (substitute). Based on the description of the explanation above, it can be concluded that the purpose of writing this paper is to describe how the role of e-learning in learning junior high school (SMP) mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan Model Pembelajaran Discovery dengan Setting Kooperatif Ditinjau Dari Kemampuan Analogi dan Generalisasi Matematis Siswa Kelas VII MTs Al-Fakhriyah Makassar. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pre-eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII MTs Al-Fakhriyah Makassar dan sampel yakni kelas VII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik, tes hasil belajar untuk mengukur kemampuan analogi dan generalisasi matematis siswa, angket minat peserta didik, dan angket respons peserta didik. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran berada pada kategori aktif dengan skor rata-rata 3,43, hasil belajar kemampuan analogi matematis siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dengan mean 80,71 dan standar deviasi 7,37, hasil belajar kemampuan generalisasi matematis siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dengan mean 81,32 dan standar deviasi 8,71, tingkat ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 89,3%, rata-rata gain ternormalisasi hasil belajar kemampuan analogi dan generalisasi matematis siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, hasil minat belajar peserta didik berada pada kategori tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 3,50, respons peserta didik terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran discovery dengan setting kooperatif berada pada kategori positif dengan skor rata-rata 3,77. Secara umum disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Discovery dengan Setting Kooperatif Ditinjau Dari Kemampuan Analogi dan Generalisasi Matematis Siswa efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada peserta didik kelas VII MTs Al-Fakhriyah Makassar. Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the ICARE learning model by applying concept maps to the mathematics learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo students with a population of 211 people, consisting of 7 classes. The sample of this study were 29 people, namely class VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo. The research instrument used was a learning achievement test, student response questionnaire, student activity sheet and learning achievement sheet. Analysis used descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that student learning outcomes in mathematics taught by the ICARE learning model with the application of concept maps were in the high category with a classical mastery level reaching 93.10% or there were 27 students who scored ≥ 75, and the average value of learning mathematics through initial tests before and tests after learning with the ICARE model with the application of concept maps has increased significantly. Student activities at each meeting showed that the eight categories observed fulfilled effective criteria. This achievement shows that the expected student activities are fulfilled. Student responses taught by the ICARE learning model with the application of concept maps are in the positive category with an average score of student responses reaching 3.92. The application of the ICARE model with the application of concept maps in learning mathematics in the classroom, provides opportunities for students to exchange ideas with friends or teachers in terms of finding and building their own knowledge in students, where with these conditions gave birth to positive responses in mathematics learning. Thus the ICARE learning model with the application of the concept map was declared effective in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo, Polewali Mandar Regency.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika peserta didik setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) berbasis soal terstruktur dan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika peserta didik setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) berbasis soal terstruktur telah mencapai standar minimal. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimen (Pre experimental design) dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah disain One-shot case study, yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Gantarangkeke Kabupaten Bantaeng dengan populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Gantarangkeke tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 dan sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIIA dimana penentuan kelas dilakukan secara random. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) berbasis soal terstruktur memperoleh skor rata-rata 80,71 dengan standar deviasi 4,19. Jika skor disesuaikan dengan standar minimal yaitu 75%, peserta didik yang telah mencapai standar minimal sebanyak 27 peserta didik (96,4%). Selanjutnya pada pengujian hipotesis, hasil yang diperoleh adalah H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika peserta didik setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) berbasis soal terstruktur telah mencapai standar minimal. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial memberikan indikasi bahwa peserta didik yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) berbasis soal terstruktur berada di atas 75 %. Sehingga dapat dikemukakan bahwa peserta didik yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) berbasis soal terstruktur pada umumnya telah mencapai standar minimal. Kata Kunci: Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI), soal terstruktur, hasil belajar Abstract This study aims to determine students' mathematics learning outcomes after the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model is based on structured questions and to find out the mathematics learning outcomes of students after the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model based on structured questions has reached a minimum standard. The type of this research is pre-experimental (Pre-experimental design) with the research design used is the One-shot case study design, which was carried out in SMP Negeri 1 Gantarangkeke Bantaeng Regency with the population of this study being grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Gantarangkeke in the school year 2018/2019 and the sample of this study was class VIIA where class determination was carried out randomly. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students after applying the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model based on structured questions obtained an average score of 80.71 with a standard deviation of 4.19. If the score is adjusted to the minimum standard of 75%, students who have reached the minimum standard are 27 students (96.4%). Furthermore, in testing the hypothesis, the results obtained are H0 rejected and H1 accepted, these results indicate that the mathematics learning outcomes of students after the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model based on structured questions has reached a minimum standard. Based on descriptive analysis and inferential analysis gives an indication that students who are taught with a structured problem-based Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model are above 75%. So it can be argued that students who are taught with the structured question-based Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model have generally reached a minimum standard. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model konstruktivis novick dengan media edutainment terhadap motivasi dan pemahaman konsep siswa. adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo sebanyak 180 siswa yang terbagi kedalam 5 kelas, kemudian diambil sampel dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling sebanyak 2 kelas yaitu kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes hasil belajar siswa, lembar aktivitas siswa, dan angket motivasi siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu (1) rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan model konstruktivis novick dengan media edutainment lebih besar dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebelum penerapan model konstruktivis novick dengan media edutainment, (2) aktivitas siswa tergolong pada kategori sangat aktif, dan (3) rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa setelah penerapan model konstruktivis novick dengan media edutainment lebih besar dari rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa sebelum penerapan model konstruktivis novick dengan media edutainment, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model konstruktivis novick dengan eduatinment efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This research is an experimental research which aims to find out the comparison of students learning outcomes through Driil method and Expository method. Population in this research was all students at the VII grade of SMP Tut wuri HandayaniMakassar which consisted of five classes. The sample was two classes which were taken by cluster random sampling. The dara were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The result showed that: (1) the level of Handayani Makassar through Drill method had the mean score was 78,03 and categorized as high; (2) the level of students learning outcomes through expository method had the mean score was 62,15 and categorized as medium; (3) the student learning outcomes through driil method was heigher than the students learning outcomes through expository method.

Abstract

Interpersonal intelligence-based learning system is very important for prospective teacher because teaching, as profession, needs a good and effective social competence to communicate with students. Everyone has different degree of interpersonal intelligence, and also different in regard of mathematics learning achievement especially when gender is considered. This research was a pre-experimental research which aimed to know the influence of interpersonal intelligence-based learning system to sudents’ learning achievement in Basic Statistics class of mathematics education students/ prospective teachers in FKIP UNSULBAR by considering gender differences. Purposive random sampling was used as the sampling method and 16 male students and female students respectively were selected as the research subjects. Learning achievement was collected from Basic Statistic learning achievement test and was analyzed descriptively and inferensially. The results of the research show that the average of male srudents’ learning achievement in Basic Statistics (74,25) is higher than female students’ (66,00). While hypothesis testing shows significancy value of o.oo5, which is lower than α=0.05. It means there is a difference in regard of the average of Basic Statistics learning achievement between male and female students who participate in interpersonal intelligense-based learning system.

Abstract

Metacognition is an important role in supporting students' success in mathematical problems solving. This study aims to describe the metacognitive activities of prospective teacher students in mathematical problems solving. The subjects of this study were as many as two people drawn from highly capable students with the consideration that the subjects were able to communicate / express their thoughts well. Data were collected using mathematical problem solving tests and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that in each stage of solving mathematical problems consisting of 4 stages namely understanding the problem, planning the solution, carrying out the plan of completion, and checking again, the subject performs metacognitive activities namely planning activities (planning) thinking processes, monitoring thinking process, and evaluating the process and results of thinking.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan gadget dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPS MAN 1 Polewali Mandar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-post facto yang bersifat kausalitas dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 87 siswa yaitu 30 siswa kelas XI IPS 1, 29 siswa kelas XI IPS 2 dan 28 siswa kelas XI IPS 3 MAN 1 Polewali Mandar yang dipilih sdengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen: (1) angket penggunaan gadget, (2) angket motivasi belajar, (3) tes hasil belajar matematika. Analisis data dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif data menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penggunaan gadget berada pada kategori sedang, (2) motivasi belajar berada pada kategori sedang, dan (3) hasil belajar matematika siswa berada pada kategori kurang. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana dan regresi linear berganda, yaitu: (1) penggunaan gadget berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, (2) motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, (3) penggunaan gadget dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.
